We got just six games on today's NBA DFS main slate for DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo so for today's feature given the smaller player pool I am going to give you my top value plays overall instead of by site as there will be a lot of overlap of value here across the board. With that said, let's dive in!
Jonathan Kuminga, PF GSW - It sure looks like Kuminga is out of the Steve Kerr doghouse as the rookie has played at least 23 minutes in each of the last three games. During this three-game stretch he has gone for 26, 29.25 and 28.75 fantasy points. Warriors starting center Kevon Looney is questionable to play tonight and should he end up being ruled out then there is a really good chance that Kuminga makes the start. As long as he avoids foul trouble there is some real upside potential here this evening.
Javonte Green, SF CHI - Over the last three games the Hornets are allowing 10 steals and nearly 4 blocks per game by their opponent. Enter Javonte Green who is averaging a combined 2.5 blocks+steals over his last 12 games. This likely makes him a better play for FanDuel and DraftKings but the minutes for Green have been strong lately and he is aggressive on both ends of the floor. We are looking at a slate-high 237 game total tonight. Fast pace, high-scoring games can lead to plenty of turnovers opportunities for Green tonight.
Justise Winslow, PF POR - Winslow started and played 33 minutes for the Blazers in his second game since being acquired via trade and he flashed the fantasy upside we saw out of the player that was healthy all the way back during the 2018 season with the Heat where he filled up the stat sheet and hit a few three-pointers. I think Winslow will mirror what Robert Covington was giving fantasy managers for Portland this season and given the wide availability of shots now in this offense I really like the upside.
Udoka Azubuike, C UTA - The Jazz took Azubuike in the first round last year but he barely saw the floor. With Rudy Gobert out of the lineup we have seen Utah opt to start Azubuike while having Hassan Whiteside come off bench. In his last three games Azubuike has played 22, 24 and 28 minutes and has returned 24.5, 24.25 and 30.0 fantasy points in those games. As I mentioned above, the Warriors could be starting Kuminga tonight but even if Looney started, this is a matchup that Azubuike shouldn't have too much trouble in.
Aleksej Pokusevski, PF OKC - This play comes with a warning label because we can't be 100% certain that Poku is going to see playing time. That being said, when he was with the roster two games ago he saw 26 minutes off the bench and finished with 28.25 fantasy points. Poku was sent to the G-League following that game but was called up last night and will be with the roster for today's game. The Thunder also made a trade today and as part of that move they released Mamadi Diakite which opens a spot in the front court rotation for Poku to potentially fill tonight.
Malik Beasley, SG MIN - As of writing this the Timberwolves have listed D'Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards and Patrick Beverley all as questionable to play tonight against the Kings on the second leg of a back-to-back after just playing the Kings last night. If two of these guys end up getting ruled out it should open up additional playing time for Beasley in what will be a very favorable matchup.
