There is SO much value on today’s slate and by that I mean EVERY slate with the way COVID-19 is hitting every team and every part of the country to be honest. Things are very fluid across sports and we need to be able to adapt to it all. As of writing this, here are my favorite values of Monday’s seven-game main slate!

JaVale McGee, PHX C

This is a new edition and no, not the band. Deandre Ayton has been placed in the health and safety and that paves the way for ALL the JaVale McGee here. With Ayton, Jae Crowder and Frank Kaminsky off of the floor this year, McGee has robust numbers. He has a 24.7% USG rate and averages 1.38 FP/min. He’s essentially a plug and play at this price point.

Cameron Johnson, PHX PF

We are likely to see Johnson enter the starting lineup with the likes of Jae Crowder and Deandre Ayton out and that’s great news. Johnson, with the current ins and outs Phoenix has on their roster, averages nearly one fantasy point per minute and if he pushes for 30 minutes here, he’ll be a guy pushing 30 FP, which would crush his current salary. The Suns are going to need scoring help with Ayton in the lineup and Johnson’s a guy that can do just that.

Armoni Brooks, HOU PG/SG

We were unsure if we’d see the return of Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green together, but neither of them are expected to play on Monday. The Rockets have been decimated by COVID-19 and Brooks, by default, is going to play all the minutes he can handle. The Rockets are missing Porter, Green, Garrison Mathews and D.J. Augustin at the guard spot tonight. Each of the last four games Brooks has topped 28 minutes, he’s put up at LEAST 28.5 DKP. That’s a great return at his price.

Jordan Clarkson, UTA PG/SG & Bojan Bogdanovic, UTA SF/PF

We got wind that Donovan Mitchell wouldn’t be joining the Jazz on their upcoming two-game road trip after Sunday’s contest which immediately sprung a “what will Utah do without him” into my brain. This year, without Mitchell two names really stand out. One is Bojan Bogdanovic and the other is Jordan Clarkson. With Mitchell off the floor this year, Clarkson has a 31.1% USG rate and averages 1.06 FP/min while Bogdanovic is at 26.8% and 1.03 FP/min. It’s not likely Clarkson starts as we should expect Joe Ingles to slide into the starting lineup (he’s viable too) but deploy Clarkson with confidence coming off the bench.

Nathan Knight, MIN C

This is definitely not the most appealing play, but an appealing one nonetheless. The TWolves are down their top two centers in Karl-Anthony Towns and Naz Reid and Knight, due to necessity, has been in the rotation of late. We saw flashes of what he could do in Atlanta last year and he should likely start here. He’s only 3.3K on DraftKings and could approach 30 minutes.

Jalen McDaniels, CHA PF

The question of the day is how many McDaniels are too many McDaniels? You can play the pair of brothers if you want, although Jaden is quite a bit more expensive and both guys have equal opportunity here. The Hornets front court has been ravaged by COVID-19 as Miles Bridges and P.J. Washington are both out. With both of them off the floor, McDaniels .99 FP/min average is looking mighty fine at just 3.7K on DraftKings. Fire him up with confidence even with Cody Martin testing out of the protocols.
