Top Plays

Clint Capela OVER 12.5 rebounds

After missing six games and two weeks due to an ankle injury in early-to-mid January, Capela returned on January 21st and never saw the type of role he was playing prior to the injury. Well, last time out, after nine games of 20-25 minutes, Capela topped 30 minutes and he did not disappoint. He grabbed 17 boards in 31 minutes, which is his calling.

John Collins is ruled out for this game and in the six games that Collins has missed and Capela has played, he’s gone over 12.5 rebounds in five of them. One of those games actually came against Cleveland and he had an astonishing 23 boards. In fact, he’s averaged 18.5 boards against CLE in their two meetings this season.

In seven of the last 10 games he’s played at least 30 minutes in, he’s gone over 12.5 rebounds. He’s actually done it in 11 of his last 15. As long as he gets 30 minutes here, this is an easy over.

Montrezl Harrell OVER 13.5 points

It was interesting to see this trade go down because we figured Charlotte would have made a move to get rid of either P.J. Washington of Mason Plumlee in return. Well, that didn’t happen. Now they have a logjam of guys up front, but Harrell seems like the guy poised to take a leap in playing time while P.J. Washington takes a step back.

In the two games Harrell has played in Charlotte, he’s played 22 and 29 minutes. He’s scored 15 and 20 actual points in each of those two. In fact, in the last 10 games that Harrell has topped 20 minutes, and obviously most of them come during his time in Washington, he’s topped 13.5 points in eight of them.

This game has a massive 244 total, one of the biggest marks of the entire season, and Harrell is instant offense off the bench. Just so you’re aware of how bad of a defender Karl-Anthony Towns is, Harrell dropped 27 points on him earlier this year in 21 minutes.
