*Please note that players not listed below are not necessarily a complete fade and any player listed can certainly be used as the MVP/Captain. These are merely suggestions for players to use when setting Showdown lineups.

MVP/CPT

Luka Doncic, PG (DAL) – Doncic has been locked in as of late and the return of Kristaps Porzingis has only served to benefit him. The way Doncic is playing in this recent stretch, he is a triple-double threat on a nightly basis and seeing him post a double-double isn’t that surprising at all. In his last six games, Doncic is averaging 29.3 points, 11 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down either.

Stephen Curry, PG (GSW) – Are we willing to go back to the well tonight with Curry after two straight brutal shooting performances? After making just six of 21 shots from the field, Curry followed that up by going five of 20 against Utah on his way to just 13 points. Curry has been absolutely brutal from three-point land, but we know the track record is simply too good and he can erupt at any point. With that being said, his floor is lower than others as he averages 6.2 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. On some slates, Curry is clearly the best player, but tonight that isn’t the case, so while you want exposure, he’s not the best option.

UTIL

Kristaps Porzingis, PF (DAL) – After a two-week absence, Porzingis is averaging 16.6 points and 8.2 rebounds over five games upon his return. Beyond the two obvious options above, Porzingis is your next best option and he pairs nicely with your point guard of choice. While I don’t think he’s going to block six shots again tonight, there is some real upside here as you have to like the performance you are seeing as of late.

Jordan Poole, PG/SG (GSW) – If Klay Thompson is out tonight, then Poole moves into the starting lineup. Even if not, Poole will be busy off the bench tonight for the Warriors as is coming off back-to-back 20-point efforts. If Poole’s shot is off tonight, we aren’t without risk, but we also know he can score in bunches.

Jalen Brunson, PG/SG (DAL) – From Brunson’s previous price point, we are getting a nice discount tonight as he has gone cold over the last few games. Brunson is still playing 30-plus minutes a night, but with just eight assists and nine rebounds over his last three games, he has temporarily slowed down. With that being said, there is still plenty to work with here, and the price is right.

Otto Porter Jr, SF/PF (GSW) – Porter got some extended run on Sunday with 31 minutes of playing time on Sunday and he came through with 13 points and eight rebounds. In three of his last five games, Porter has put up between 34 and 37 DK points and there is a good chance for that to continue as he remains in the starting lineup.

Andrew Wiggins, SF (GSW) – With Thompson’s knee still being an issue, and his status to suit up in question, Wiggins stands to benefit from a volume perspective. On Sunday, that meant 17 shots from the field, but the only problem is that Wiggins only made six of them. For the most part, you know you are going to get close to 30 fantasy points per game here with the majority coming from his offensive output (18.2 points per game). Price though, is an issue here as Wiggins is $600 more expensive than Poole, and that could come into play.

Kevon Looney, C (GSW) – Looney has a monster on the boards as of late as his streak of five straight double-digit games ended on Sunday as he finished with six. The good news though is that Looney scored 10 points as offense isn’t always his strong suit.

Dart Throws

Dwight Powell, C (DAL) – Powell has been coming off the bench these days, but nothing has really changed as he plays about 20 minutes per night. In his last six games, Powell is averaging 14 DK points via 7.2 points and four rebounds per game. I wouldn’t expect much more than that, but the price is right; and in line with the production.

Nemanja Bjelica, PF/C (GSW) – Bjelica has been doing alright from the playing time perspective these days, Draymond Green being out has helped, but he has finished between 16.5 and 21.5 DK points over his last four games. You get a little bit of everything out of Bjelica and you could do worse in rounding out your lineup.
