MVP/Captain

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL - Look, it’s very expensive. Over 20K expensive. But not many – if anyone else – have 70+ FP upside. Not only does he have the most upside, but his floor may be everyone else’s ceiling. The decision is ultimately what you can build around him and if you’re comfortable with it, because there’s no doubt having Giannis with 1.5x the FP is hard to pass up on.

Khris Middleton, MIL - It’s hard to predict who is going to be the team’s second option because every other night it’s seemingly Middleton or Holiday, never both. Middleton had a very solid game on Saturday posting 41 DKP. He’s second on the team in USG rate behind Giannis and averages 1.09 FP/min to boot.

Reggie Jackson, LAC - I mentioned the other day that Jackson was the sneaky CPT play against the Lakers and boy did that come through. Here we are again in a similar situation. If you want to get both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton or Giannis and Jrue Holiday into your lines, you’ll have to sacrifice at the CPT spot and Jackson is the candidate to sacrifice with. Jackson’s been really good lately, scoring 19+ points and 33+ DKP in three straight games.

Utility

Marcus Morris Sr., LAC - This is interesting because neither Norman Powell or Robert Covington are listed on the injury report and could potentially play here. How they fit into the Clippers lineup is obviously the number one question on our minds because they’re going to play and both of them play the two positions Morris does. Morris is coming off a big 29 point game in which he knocked down six three’s. He has that in his bag when he gets going.

Norman Powell, LAC - We’re unsure if Powell plays and how he’s going to be integrated into the lineup, but I can’t imagine he’s not going to play a huge role from Day 1. He might lead this team in scoring without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard off the floor as he averaged 19 PPG in Portland playing alongside Lillard, McCollum and Simons.

Jrue Holiday, MIL - Despite up and down production of late, Holiday is still playing big minutes and is still producing fantasy points at a high level. He’s third in usage rate behind Giannis and Middleton and averages 1.06 FP/min this season. He’s not as much of a priority as those two ton this slate, but he’s firmly in play regardless.

Bobby Portis, MIL - We saw on Saturday what could happen if Portis gets going. Good luck stopping him. He went 11-for-13 from the floor and 6-for-8 from three on his way to 30 actual points and 51 DKP. Portis has averaged over 1.1 FP/min this year without Brook Lopez and Lopez isn’t slated to return anytime soon.

Luke Kennard, LAC - It was interesting to see how the Clippers rolled with Kennard for 29 minutes last game and his minutes are seemingly always up and down. He is an instant scoring threat off the Clippers bench, however, and should continue to be that even with the additions of Norman Powell and Robert Covington. Definitely risky because we don’t know how his minutes shake out with the arrivals of Powell and Covington.

Pat Connaughton, MIL - Because of the blowout on Saturday, Connaughton didn’t have to play his full complement of minutes, but he’s playing mid-20’s seemingly every slate. He’s a very good three-and-D guy for Milwaukee who can get hot and put up points in bunches. Connaughton is very cheap and could be a guy that allows you to fit the studs.

If Ivica Zubac sits, Serge Ibaka is firmly in play, while Isaiah Hartenstein isn’t as much of a priority, but is in play.
