DFS Captain / MVP Picks

Anthony Edwards, MIN

(DK CPT - $16,500, UTIL - $11,000 / FD CPT - $23,700, UTIL - $15,800)

Edwards is coming off a monster performance against this Pelicans team earlier this week. He has now scored at least 30 points in six straight games. There is no question who has the highest raw ceiling on the single-game slate, and it's Anthony Edwards.

Julius Randle, MIN

(DK CPT - $14,400, UTIL - $9,600 / FD CPT - $20,100, UTIL - $13,400)

Randle has been a bright spot for the Wolves this season, but it is going to be difficult for him to find a ceiling performance if Edwards continues to play at an extremely high level. He has double-double upside and a 50 FP ceiling. He is the best Wolves pivot if you are looking to fade Edwards.

Trey Murphy, NOP

(DK CPT - $13,800, UTIL - $9,200 / FD CPT - $18,900, UTIL - $12,600)

Murphy posted a massive outing in the last meeting between these two teams, with 33 points and 15 boards. His numbers spike considerably with Zion Williamson off the floor, but I wouldn't expect that level of production again, especially the rebounds. That being said, Murphy has the highest ceiling of any Pelicans player and deserves some attention for the top lineup spot.

Derik Queen, NOP

(DK CPT - $11,700, UTIL - $9,800 / FD CPT - $16,500, UTIL - $11,000)

Yves Missi and Zion Williamson remain out for the Pels, so Queen has a chance to play 30+ minutes again. He has been an extremely productive fantasy player when he gets that kind of playing time.

DFS Utility Picks

Rudy Gobert, MIN

(DK CPT - $10,500, UTIL - $7,000 / FD CPT - $14,100, UTIL - $9,400)

A strong UTIL play with a solid floor. Gobert was dominant in the last meeting with 26 points and 13 boards, but that's probably an outlier performance. A double-double is very much in play, though, especially with the injuries to the Pelicans' frontcourt.

Donte DiVincenzo, MIN

(DK CPT - $9,600, UTIL - $6,400 / FD CPT - $12,000, UTIL - $8,000)

Another solid floor play who is locked into 30-ish minutes. DiVincenzo does a little bit of everything, but the ceiling is capped playing next to Edwards.

Jaden McDaniels, MIN

(DK CPT - $9,300, UTIL - $6,200 / FD CPT - $10,800, UTIL - $7,200)

Similar play to DiVincenzo in terms of floor, ceiling, and even price. Extremely likely to put up between 20-35 fantasy points, and anything outside of that would be considered an outlier.

Jeremiah Fears, NOP

(DK CPT - $10,200, UTIL - $6,800 / FD CPT - $10,200, UTIL - $6,800)

Fears' minutes are pretty volatile with Murphy back and Jose Alvarado lurking. He's been benched multiple times already this season, but he should play 30-ish minutes if things are going well. A hot shooting night is his best path to a ceiling performance.
