DFS Captain / MVP Picks

Anthony Davis, DAL 

(DK CPT - $15,600, UTIL - $10,400 / FD CPT - $24,300, UTIL - $16,200)

Anthony Davis is coming off a ceiling performance in which he racked up 32 points and 13 rebounds against the Nuggets in 32 minutes. He gets a tougher matchup in this spot, but he undoubtedly has the highest ceiling on the slate. There doesn't appear to be a restriction of any sort, and the owner has explicitly said he would not play until he's fully healthy. 

Tyler Herro, MIA 

(DK CPT - $13,800, UTIL - $9,200 / FD CPT - $20,700, UTIL - $13,800)

Herro is still not quite at full strength, but he is extremely close. He has played 32 minutes in two of his four games this season, and a small bump is not out of the question. He should have even more usage flow his way tonight with Norm Powell ruled out. 

Cooper Flagg, DAL 

(DK CPT - $12,600, UTIL - $8,400 / FD CPT - $15,600, UTIL - $10,400)

The No. 1 overall pick might be taking a step forward in his development, as he has been excellent over his last three games. Flagg has three straight 40+ FP performances, and one of them came alongside AD. The sky is the limit for the kid, and he's an intriguing pivot off the more popular Davis. 

Andrew Wiggins, MIA

(DK CPT - $10,800, UTIL - $7,200 / FD CPT - $12,000, UTIL - $8,000)

Wiggins is coming off two incredible games, and now Norman Powell is out. The veteran continues to fill up the stat sheet, and he even approached a double-double. The usage has been great, and should only improve with Powell off the floor. 


 

 

 

DFS Utility Picks

Bam Adebayo, MIA 

(DK CPT - $14,100, UTIL - $9,400 / FD CPT - $18,000, UTIL - $12,000)

Adebayo is coming off a ceiling performance, and he has now recorded three straight double-doubles. Powell missing the game improves the chances of Bam repeating the ceiling outcome, unless Kel'el Ware joins the starting lineup. I believe that would be a slight downgrade for Bam, and I would lower exposure compared to if someone like Pelle Larsson draws the start. 

Jaime Jaquez, MIA 

(DK CPT - $9,300, UTIL - $6,200 / FD CPT - $7,200, UTIL - $4,800)

Jaquez has seen his role shrink since the return of Tyler Herro, but he should have it back with Powell out now. I think he slides in as the first man off the bench and has tremendous upside in this spot. It only improves his outlook if Larsson is also ruled out. 

Davion Mitchell, MIA 

(DK CPT - $8,700, UTIL - $5,800 / FD CPT - $8,700, UTIL - $5,800)

Mitchell has settled into a facilitator role with Herro back in the lineup, and he's looked very good doing it. The point guard has racked up double-digit assists in his last two games and continues to be a major contributor on the defensive end of the floor. 

Ryan Nembhard, DAL 

(DK CPT - $6,600, UTIL - $4,400 / FD CPT - $6,600, UTIL - $4,400)

The undrafted rookie has started each of the last three games, and he has been impressive enough to assume he continues in that role. He spiked a ceiling performance last game with 12-of-14 shooting and 10 assists. It seems unlikely he would be able to repeat that performance, but it's nice to know that it's in there.
