In case you might have missed it, there is some COVID swirling around the NBA. Players are out, statuses are in doubt, and teams are shorthanded. None of this is ideal, far from it in fact, but there are also some value opportunities out there.
Tyler Herro and Talen Horton-Tucker both appear to have cleared protocols and will be available tonight, but their respective teams are still not at full strength.
Despite being listed on the injury report, LeBron James should be good to go tonight and he is in another good spot with Anthony Davis sidelined.
From a status perspective, we have to keep our eye on Kristaps Porzingis (toe) and Damian Lillard (hamstring). Derrick Rose is questionable for the Knicks, who are hurting for backcourt options, with an ankle injury. As someone who was already on Robert Covington and Larry Nance, it is interesting to see Jusuf Nurkic appear as a late addition to the injury report with a rib injury.
It shouldn't come as a surprise, but at an over/under of 224, the Suns and Lakers should have the highest scoring game. The lowest scoring game projects to be between New York at Detroit at 207.5 and it is also the game with the largest point spread (seven).
