NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 10/31

Our NBA best bets for Saturday are Kings vs. Grizzlies Over 230.5 and the Rockets -2.5 against Oklahoma City. On the prop side, we're featuring Toumani Camara Over 2.5 three-pointers and Nickeil Alexander-Walker Over 19.5 points, with more player props listed below. Lines have been moving all day, so shop around before you bet.

Kings vs. Grizzlies Prediction: Saturday, 10/31

Pick: Over 230.5

Sacramento can't stop anyone. The winless Kings allow 121.2 points per 100 possessions, the worst defensive efficiency in the NBA per ESPN's Hollinger team stats, and they've given up at least 121 points in four straight games. They're also missing Keegan Murray and backup centers Dylan Cardwell and Maxime Raynaud.

The Kings can still score enough to hold up their end. Zach LaVine is averaging 26.0 points and rookie Darius Acuff is at 24.0, while Memphis ranks sixth in offensive efficiency at 114.3 points per 100 possessions. The first meeting between these teams finished 123-112 in Memphis' favor, a combined 235.

The risk is pace. Memphis plays at 92.1 possessions per game, second-slowest in the league, and Sacramento is at 94.3, while Ty Jerome is questionable with a back injury. We still trust the worst defense in the NBA to give up points on every trip. Over 230.5 is our first of Saturday's NBA best bets.

Thunder vs. Rockets Prediction: Saturday, 10/31

Pick: Rockets -2.5

Oklahoma City is down to the bones. Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace, Alex Caruso, Thomas Sorber and Nikola Topic are all out, and the Thunder lost 120-96 in Dallas in their last game.

Houston gets its best playmaker back. Alperen Sengun is off the injury report after missing two games with back soreness, and he was averaging 24.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists before he sat. The Rockets are 5-1 with the NBA's best offense at 121.5 points per 100 possessions, while Oklahoma City ranks 22nd at 105.8, per ESPN's Hollinger team stats.

The risk is rest and defense. Houston is on the second night of a back-to-back after Friday's 116-111 loss in Dallas, while Oklahoma City has had two days off, allows just 102.8 points per 100 possessions and still has Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at 26.0 points per game. With Sengun back and the Thunder this thin, we'll lay the short number at home. Rockets -2.5 rounds out our game picks among Saturday's NBA best bets.

Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 10/31

Toumani Camara Over 2.5 Three-Pointers: Camara is 16-of-30 from three through four games and has made at least three in every one of them. He made 2.7 per game last season, and he's taking 7.5 attempts per game this year in only 25.0 minutes.

The Jazz are 1-4, rank sixth-worst in defensive efficiency at 115.2 and are playing without Jaren Jackson The risk is regression from a 53.3% start, but the volume keeps him in range.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker Over 19.5 Points: The reigning Most Improved Player is averaging 20.5 points on 15.2 shots per game, right in line with the 20.8 he averaged last season. He's scored 23 and 25 in his last two games and is hitting 40.0% on 9.2 three-point attempts per game.

The Pelicans rank seventh-worst in defensive efficiency at 114.9 and are without starting center Yves Missi. He's cleared this number in three of six games, but Atlanta is only a 4.5-point favorite, so his minutes should be safe.

More player props we like on Saturday's slate:

  • Jaden McDaniels Over 5.5 Rebounds: McDaniels has grabbed at least six rebounds in all six games, up to 6.5 per game from 4.2 last season, with Anthony Edwards out after knee surgery.
  • Cedric Coward Over 6.5 Rebounds: Coward is averaging 9.0 rebounds and had 11 in the first meeting with Sacramento, a Kings team averaging just 41.2 rebounds per game.
  • Alperen Sengun Over 5.5 Assists: Sengun is averaging 7.0 assists and returns against a Thunder team missing six players.
