Nets vs. Celtics Prediction: Tuesday, 10/27

Pick: Under 223.5 Total Points

Boston is coming off a blowout win over the Bulls last night, winning 134-99. They get another great matchup against the Nets on Tuesday, entering the contest as 12.5-point favorites. Brooklyn is 0-3 on the season, and again looks like one of the worst teams in basketball. They'll likely struggle to generate offense against Boston's elite defense. 

The primary concern is that Brooklyn's awful defense could also struggle to limit Boston's offense. However, with Boston playing on a back-to-back and relying heavily on long-range shooting, they could struggle with efficiency. 

There's also the blowout factor if Boston builds up a big lead, as they could take their foot off the gas and cruise to another easy win. 

Trail Blazers vs. Lakers Prediction: Tuesday, 10/27

Pick: Lakers -2.5

Both teams enter Tuesday night's matchup undefeated on the season. The Lakers have quality wins over the Jazz, Clippers, and Warriors. Portland has defeated the Kings and Suns, who are expected to be two of the worst teams in the Western Conference. 

Luka Doncic is playing at an elite level, Austin Reaves is a rock-solid number two option, and new pick-and-roll man Walker Kessler has already had a couple of big performances. The Lakers look like legitimate contenders and will enjoy the home-court advantage for this matchup. 

 

 

 

Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 10/27

Stephon Castle Over 17.5 Points

Castle is averaging 19.3 points through his first three games this season, and his usage rate is up to 28.2%. He has attempted at least 15 field goals in all three games, while shooting 42.6% from the floor. 

He gets one of the best matchups in basketball at home against the Kings on Tuesday. Sacramento has played at a top-10 pace this season, and they have allowed 119.6 points per 100 possessions, the fourth-most. 

John Collins Over 6.5 Rebounds

Collins should be in line for an increased role with Jalen Duren out for a couple of weeks. Last game with Duren sidelined, Collins played nearly 34 minutes and grabbed 11 rebounds against Philadelphia. 

He gets a tough matchup against the Knicks on Tuesday, but his rebounding line is still too low considering his potential role without Duren.
