DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

We only have four games on the slate and there is some pretty strong pitching options to choose from which makes picking the right hitters that much tougher.  I think we will see some very high rostership in matchups where the weaker pitching is which means to be different today you will have to take some chances on hitters against good pitching.

Top Options for Strikeouts

Best Odds for a Win

Favorite Starters to Use for DFS Lineups

Kevin Gausman, Toronto Blue Jays

The Brewers offense has given us fits at times this season but they also still strike out a lot and Gausman has really been rolling this season outside of a few blips against some of the leagues better offenses. He has the best odds to collect a win here today at +160 and the highest strikeout prop on the board.

Joe Musgrove, San Diego Padres

Maybe he's finally rounding into form after a stellar start against the Yankees last time out. The Marlins are one of the worst offenses in baseball against right-handed pitching, ranking 24th in wOBA with a near 25% strikeout rate. Musgrove is also one of the pitchers with the best win equity on the slate.

Max Scherzer, New York Mets

If looking for a pivot off of Gausman then take a look at the Mets starter in this spot against the Phillies. We just saw Carlos Carrasco shut down this Phillies offense last night and Scherzer is starting to pick it up, allowing just two earned runs over his last three starts while striking out 19.

Recommended DFS Hitters

Highest Expected Run Totals

Favorite Hitters to Use for DFS Lineups

Jake McCarthy, Arizona Diamondbacks

McCarthy has been a lightning rod over the last three games with two hits in each contest along with five stolen bases. He has been hitting down towards the bottom of the Diamondbacks lineup but that hasn't prevented him from being productive, having also scored two runs with two RBI during this three game stretch as well. DraftKings also dumped his price under $3,000 which will make him one of the more favorable value plays on the board.

Ryan McMahon, Colorado Rockies

Though a small sample size, left-handed hitters are mashing against Davies this season, hitting .417 with a .542 slugging percentage and an OPS of 1.042. McMahon is also having one of his best stretches of baseball in some time, hitting .361 with an OPS of 1.283 and a slugging percentage of .806. There is also a little BvP history here with McMahon having two homers off Davies.

Bo Bichette, Toronto Blue Jays

Sometimes you play a guy because everyone else at the position kind of stinks or is in a really tough spot. It's not that I don't like Bichette today, but when compared to the field he just stands out so far above the rest in my opinion. Righties are also the ones giving Peralta trouble this year and after the Blue Jays let everyone down yesterday this feels like a good bounce back spot.
