Today, we have plenty of talent on the diamond and many different ways to build your lineup. Our expert analysis is here to guide you through the top pitchers, value plays, and stackable offenses to target.

Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!

This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.

The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.

The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.

The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

MLB DFS Picks & MLB Playbook

MLB Weather: Friday, 6/6

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Cincinnati Reds

There is a lot of rain in the forecast DURING the game, which is bad news. This could be a lengthy delay.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ St. Louis Cardinals

There's some rain projected right around the start of the game, which could delay the start.

New York Mets @ Colorado Rockies

Some rain around the start, which could cause a delayed start.

Baltimore Orioles @ Athletics

There is wind blowing out here. It's not a lot, but it's enough to bump the bats up a bit in a park that doesn't need any help.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers

Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Tarik Skubal, Detroit Tigers

This is a tough matchup, absolutely, but this is the best pitcher in baseball. You can play him against anyone because he could shut down anyone.

Spencer Schwellenbach, Atlanta Braves

Subpar. Underwhelming. That's what the Giants offense is. They rank 24th in OPS, 23rd in wOBA, 22nd in wRC+, and 21st in ISO while striking out nearly 22% of the time. Schwellenbach has looked fantastic over his last two outings posting a 22:0 K:BB ratio while notching at least 29 DKP in each. Elite ballpark to pitch in too.

Kodai Senga, New York Mets

Despite pitching in Coors Field here, Kodai Senga is an elite play because of how bad the Rockies offense is. The Rockies are 30th in wRC+, 29th in wOBA, and OPS against right-handed pitching this year. They ALSO strike out 26% of the time against righties. Senga will be popular.

Ben Brown, Chicago Cubs

For as good as the Tigers have been as a team, they're pretty average as an offense against right-handed pitching. They're 15th in OPS and wOBA attached to a 23.6% K-rate against righties. Brown has some concerning splits under the hood, but the strikeouts are ELITE. He has a near 32% K-rate against lefties and a 25% K-rate against righties. He misses a LOT of bats down at this price point.

Colton Gordon, Houston Astros

This is an interesting one for me. Gordon has a 5.95 ERA but 2.65 xERA, 3.7 xFIP, and 3.48 SIERA. Righties have a .286 ISO and .383 wOBA against Gordon, but he's been quite unlucky as his xISO is .167 and .xwOBA of .278. He faces a Guardians offense that has been bad against lefties this season. The Guardians are 28th in OPS, wOBA, and ISO, and 26th in wRC+ against southpaws this year while striking out 25% of the time.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Houston..Logan Allen has a Problem

UPDATE - Cam Smith has been scratched from the lineup.

Although Houston has the smallest sample of any team against left-handed pitching, they're really good against them and if you remember earlier in the year, that was not the case. But they have historically been good and you're seeing the turn. Their matchup against Logan Allen is good. Allen has only allowed a .120 ISO, but .197 xISO along with a .319 wOBA and .343 xwOBA. Righties also have an elevated FB rate vs. Allen posting a 43% FB against him.

There are a lot of Astros to like here. Jeremy Pena is first, with a .2000 ISO and .396 wOBA. Isaac Paredes has massive power against lefties notching a .250 ISO against them. Did someone say power? How about Jose Altuve's .280 ISO vs. LHP on the year. Yainer Diaz and his .290 ISO and .411 wOBA isn't too shabby either.

I'm perfectly fine rounding out my lineup with Cam Smith and his robust .348 ISO, .443 xISO, .406 wOBA, and .454 xISO.

Friday Royal-ty

I really like the Royals today and I don't care who knows it. The depth of their lineup looks different with Jac Caglianone and this matchup against Davis Martin is GOOD.

Righties vs. Martin - .172 ISO, .215 xISO, .351 wOBA, .374 xwOBA, 33% HH

Lefties vs. Martin - .180 ISO, .215 xISO, .291 wOBA, .392 xwOBA, 4.63 xFIP

My preferred Royals stack is five of their top-six. Bobby Witt - Jonathan India - Maikel Garcia - Vinnie Pasquantino - Salvador Perez - Jac Caglianone.

Christian Yelich is BACK

The matchup for Yelich is a GREAT one and profiles as one of the best one-off plays of the day. Randy Vasquez opposes the Brewers today and he cannot get lefties out. This is an ongoing trend for multiple seasons. Lefties have a .222 ISO, .324 xISO, .393 wOBA, and .435 xwOBA along with a BAD 10% K-rate. Yelich is surging right now and against righties overall, has a .268 ISO and .371 wOBA on the year.

New York Mets. All of them. Any of them.

Update - Ryan Rolison is starting – as the opener – for the Rockies and Antonio Senzatela will follow from there.

Antonio Senzatela pitches for the Mets and he hasn't gotten anyone out this year and it's June. Righties have a .244 ISO with a .413 wOBA while lefties have a .168 ISO and .445 wOBA on the year.

Play them all, I'm telling you. Pete Alonso, if Francisco Lindor is in the lineup, Juan Soto, Brandon Nimmo are all the headliners. Brett Baty, Jeff McNeil, Starling Marte, Jared Young, and Ronny Mauricio are all cheaper options as well.

Pretty Good Home Run Spot for the Angels

Bryce Miller hasn't pitched well this year and has made one start since returning from the IL due to elbow inflammation. He's been crushed by righties allowing a .303 AVG, .485 SLG%, .182 ISO, and .369 wOBA.

The Angels have a LOT of righties in their lineup and here are the ones that stand out vs. RHP;

Sutter Health Field

This game is the most interesting on the board. This one of two games with a 10.5 implied run total. The ballpark is as good as it gets and the pitching matchup between Dean Kremer and JP Sears should typically provide a lot of offense.

Kremer struggles mightily against lefties: .226 ISO, .226 xISO, .394 wOBA, .365 xwOBA

Sears struggles mightily against righties: .239 ISO, .229 xISO, .357 wOBA, .337 xwOBA

The Athletics only project three lefties in it's lineup (Lawrence Butler, Tyler Soderstrom, JJ Bleday)

The Orioles are the worst team in baseball against left-handed pitching and their best righties are Adley Rutschman, Ramon Urias, Coby Mayo and Dylan Carlson.

Update - Ramon Laureano has been removed from the IL and will likely be in the Orioles lineup.
