MLB Week 10 Injury Report Update: Pitchers

Pablo Lopez, Minnesota Twins - Shoulder

This was a wild ride, in that Lopez said he expected to make his next start, and then it was announced that he’ll miss the next 2-3 months with a Grade 2 teres major strain.

Eury Perez, Miami Marlins - Elbow

Perez will be activated from the IL and make his season debut on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Hunter Greene, Cincinnati Reds - Groin

Greene is back on the IL with a strain of the same groin from last month. Expect the Reds to take it easy with their star righty.

Brandon Woodruff, Milwaukee Brewers - Shoulder/Ankle/Elbow

It’s just one thing after another for Woodruff. In what was likely to be his last rehab start, he took a comebacker off his right elbow. X-Rays were negative, which is a positive, but his return to big league action will be pushed back because of this.

Shane Bieber, Cleveland Guardians - Elbow

Bieber was scheduled for his next rehab appearance today (Friday, June 6), but soreness after his Tuesday bullpen will set him back.

Logan Gilbert, Seattle Mariners - Elbow

It’s possible that Gilbert’s next start will come with the Mariners, as he worked up to 60 pitches in his rehab start on Wednesday. His velo was down a bit in that start, but alarm bells are not going off.

Eduardo Rodriguez, Arizona Diamondbacks - Shoulder

Rodriguez is expected to return to the team’s rotation and toe the rubber on Friday against the Reds.

Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Phillies - Ankle

Some side stiffness will set Nola back a couple of days. Shouldn’t be overly serious.

Matthew Liberatore, St. Louis Cardinals - Fatigue

Liberatore’s velo was a bit down in his last start, and if you look at the graph below, it’s been trending down the past couple of starts. No injury reported at the moment, as the team is just calling it fatigue.

Kyle Harrison, San Francisco Giants - Elbow

Harrison took a comebacker off his elbow and is dealing with a contusion on his pitching elbow.

MLB Week 10 Injury Report Update: Hitters

Francisco Lindor, New York Mets - Toe

While a broken right pinky toe doesn’t sound great, Lindor is only considered day to day at this point.

Jordan Westburg, Baltimore Orioles - Hamstring

Westburg’s action could be drawing near. Through six rehab appearances, he’s slashing .304/.360/.565 with one home run, three doubles, four RBI, and a 6:2 K/BB ratio.

Mark Vientos, New York Mets - Hamstring

It seems like Vientos avoided a major injury, but he’ll be out of action for 2+ weeks with this Grade 1 hamstring strain, though the team likely plays it a bit cautiously.

Carlos Correa, Minnesota Twins - Back

Correa is dealing with some back tightness, but the expectation is that he’ll be ready for Friday’s game.

Luis Arraez, San Diego Padres - Knee

Arraez injured his knee in Thursday's game, and he’s considered day to day. The Padres don’t believe this will require a trip to the injured list, and he could be in the lineup as early as Friday.

Luis Robert, Chicago White Sox - Head

Robert was given two days off for a bit of a mental break, and as he was trying to get his head, swing, and approach right, he was hit in the head while in the batting cage. He reportedly passed concussion tests, but is day-to-day at the moment.

Xander Bogaerts, San Diego Padres - Shoulder

Bogaerts is dealing with some discomfort in his left shoulder, which is the same one he fractured last year and missed nearly two months of action.

Giancarlo Stanton, New York Yankees - Elbows

We are officially on Giancarlo Stanton watch! Aaron Boone said that a rehab assignment could be in store next week for Stanton.

Ezequiel Tovar, Colorado Rockies - Oblique

Tovar is dealing with a left oblique strain. He hasn’t played since Monday's game, and an IL stint isn’t off the table. Orlando Arcia has started both games at short during Tovar’s absence.
