Are you ready for the best stolen base picks for today? If you tailed us on yesterday’s picks – quite the interesting day. Well, wouldn’t you know it, they both stole bases whole Marsh did not. So, once again, we were in the game and knew where we were targeting was the right place. Best MLB Stolen Base Picks Today:
Locking in the best stolen base predictions means finding the absolute perfect storm of a high-on-base runner and a weak battery. Here are our top two MLB stolen base picks today for Thursday, June 18:
Favorite Bets:
Jose Caballero, New York Yankees (+259)
Well, we know White Sox righty Sean Burke has allowed 12 stolen bases this season, second-highest on this short slate. He’s been soft on both lefties and righties, so while Jazz Chisholm has that lefty/righty advantage, we’re leaning into the speedy Caballero who hits righties very well and has 11 of his 15 steals against them as well. He’s hit safely in three-straight games and while he hasn’t been overly-active on the bases recently, he’s one of the mainstays who keeps the team active on the bases.
Bobby Witt, Kansas City Royals (+281)
Witt has been very good to us when we use him and squaring off against lefty Matthew Liberatore appears to be a very good spot to go back to the well again. Liberatore has allowed 11 stolen bases, third-most on this slate, and the Cardinals backstops have now combined for just a 21.2-percent caught-stealing rate. The hope is that Ivan Herrera is taking a turn behind the dish today, but Witt can out-run Pedro Pages too.
