Matisse Thybulle, SF PHI - It's been a bit since we have seen the Sixers wing in the starting lineup as he dealt with Covid-19 but he has since been cleared to play in tonight's matchup against Portland. With Danny Green still out of the lineup we may even see Thybulle start for the Sixers tonight. Formats like Yahoo and FanDuel are great spots to play Thybulle as you get the extra points for the defensive stats which are the specialty here as he is averagign 2.3 steals and 1.7 blocks per game on the season.
Josh Richardson, SG BOS - Jaylen Brown is still out of the Celtics lineup which means we should get another game of near 30-minutes from Richardson as he comes off the bench for the Celtics tonight. He has given us an average of 20-to-22 fantasy points since Brown with down with an injury and he is min-price in a great matchup against the Thunder.
DraftKings
Jalen Suggs, PG ORL - Suggs is the obvious candidate here to play with Cole Anthony out of the lineup tonight. He has a 26-percent usage, highest on the team, when Anthony is off the floor and should be in for a season high amount of shot attempts. The price point is impossible to ignore given the bump in value here on this slate even in a tough matchup.
Desmond Bane, SG MEM - De'Anthony Melton has been ruled out and Dillon Brooks is doubtful to play tonight. With those two out of the rotation we should be getting an easy 30+ minutes from Bane in this matchup against the Timberwolves. After a hot start, Bane has slowed down a bit but the second-year guard is still shooting a respectable 44.9-percent from the floor and 34-percent from three-point range on the year.
FanDuel
R.J. Hampton, PG ORL - While, yes, you can go Suggs, Hampton is also in play with Cole Anthony not playing tonight which should give a boost in minutes to the Magic backcourt rotation. I am a fan of the possible upside here with Hampton, given the price, and increased opportunity. At the end of last season we saw Hampton breaking slates and being in GPP winning lineups as he averaged 16.0 points, 7.1 assists, 5.6 rebounds and nearly 3.0 three-pointers per game over the final month of the season. Am I suggesting that happens tonight? No, not at all, BUT if he does start, he will be very popular even in a tough matchup against the Bucks.
Kyle Anderson, SF MEM - No Melton and likely no Brooks tonight could put Anderson into the starting lineup if not the very least in line for a big bump in minutes off the bench for Memphis. While in past years we have largely panned Anderson for being a boring DFS play, his ability to fill the stat sheet, especially with the defensive numbers, is what makes him appealing on this FanDuel slate of games.
