(+125) Gen.G v T1 Esports (-162)

(-150) NS RedForce v Kwangdong Freecs (+116)

A rare time when we see LCK playing and LPL have the day off! Luckily, the LCK decided to give us two really close series filled with electric players. T1 is possibly facing their last real threat in the regular season but in their last series played, T1 dispatched Gen.G with ease.  Only one game separates NS and KDF, with the Freecs being the team with playoff positioning at the moment. This is a must-win for both teams but even more so for NS. They are 0-1 in the series head to head against KDF and a loss here could seal their playoff fate if there is a tie at the end of the regular split. With exciting games to cover, let’s dive in!

Overview

Series #1: Gen.G v T1 Esports

Cann’s Pick:  T1 Esports (2-1)

Series #2: NS RedForce v Kwangdong Freecs

Cann’s Pick: NS RedForce  (2-1)

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Favorite: Gumayusi (T1: $11,700/$7,800) There really isn’t much of a reason to not pick Gumayusi as your captain in your smart/chalk lineup. As the primary carrier for the best team in the LCK, Gumayusi has hit 150 kills and 152 assists. Both carriers for T1 is at the 110 mark and have high production but Gen.G was really outclassed in their first meeting. While T1 looked nervous in a few matches but found ways to navigate fights in a controlled way. I think even if Gen.G takes a game off of them, T1 has the resolved to stay composed.

Favorite: Teddy (KDF: $11,100/$7,400) From a T1 ADC to a former T1 ADC, Teddy is a great pick in this matchup. KDF won the first matchup with NS and Teddy is a huge reason for that. He has a 4.8 KDA with 99 kills in his 25 games played. NS’ biggest weakness as a team has to be their underperforming bottom lane. Teddy will have a ton of resources poured into him and should put up big numbers because of it.

Favorite: Chovy (GEN: $10,500/$7,000) The most likely person to have a carry performance for Gen.G is their mid-laner Chovy. Chovy is having a better statistical year compared to his lane opponent (Faker) and has the most kills for Gen.G at 111. His 8.5 is the highest among mid-laners and best for players with over 10 games played in the LCK. He will play safely and look to collapse on the plays Peanut tries to make.

Value Pick: Gen.G ($4,400) If there will be a team that will upset T1 in the regular season, it will be Gen.G. I have been impressed with how consistently each piece of their team has performed. A lot of teams who have these individually skilled pieces can run out of gas mid-season. They have had two series losses but have yet to lose a total of 10 games played. In fact, they have only lost 2 more games (7 losses versus 5) to the LCK leaders in T1.

Value Pick: Keria (T1: $5,600) If you are taking Gumayusi in either captain or ADC role, you have to take Keria. The two are connected and Keria is always shadowing Gumayusi in the late game. He is the only player to be over 300 assists in the LCK with second place being almost 70 assists behind him. Too much value here to not pick up.
