College Basketball CBB DFS Picks
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Baylor Scheierman | CRE | UNLV | 9400 | 36.39 |
| Both Baylor Scheierman and Trey Alexander are top plays from Creighton’s backcourt tonight. Alexander is better suited for GPP lineups while Scheierman is the safer and more consistent cash play. As for Scheierman, he’s stuffing the stat sheet nightly with per-game averages of 18.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. The point-forward has at least 29 DK in every game so far with 44+ DK in three of the last six. Bank on another stud performance to anchor cash lineups. | ||||
| Jamir Chaplin | UALR | UTSA | 8800 | 32.82 |
| This UTSA vs Little Rock game is definitely one to target tonight with the highest total of the slate. On the Little Rock side, Jamir Chaplin is a top overall play with his usually heavy shot volume and stat-stuffing tendency. The USF transfer is averaging 16.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.3 steals/blocks per game with 35+ DK in five of the last seven contests. Chaplin is a playmaker on the wing who should be plenty involved for a strong all-around DFS performance in this uptempo matchup. We should also mention that if KK Robinson returns from injury tonight, he’s a lock at the min price. | ||||
| Johnell Davis | FAU | FIU | 8400 | 29.75 |
| FAU has the highest projected team total on the slate tonight in an easy matchup vs FIU. Even if it’s a blowout win, expect Johnell Davis to play a big role in that. He’s averaging 16.4 PPG and 33 DK over the past seven games with at least 30 DK in five of those seven. This is a pace boost for FAU and Davis should excel as one of the team’s top overall playmakers. He might be better suited for GPP lineups, but don’t overlook the stud winger. | ||||
| Marcus Williams | SFO | SEA | 8000 | 28.2 |
| Marcus Williams has been a stud for San Francisco lately. The combo guard has at least 18 points scored in six of the last eight games with 28+ DK in seven of the last eight. He owns a strong DFS cash floor with team highs in usage and shot volume as San Fran’s go-to scorer. Williams also has 35 and 38 DK in his past two outings. Despite the expensive price and low total matchup, he’s a top-tier cash guard tonight. | ||||
| Mason Falslev | UTST | STC | 6800 | 28 |
| Both Darius Brown and Mason Falslev are firmly in play for cash or GPP lineups as two of Utah State’s top playmakers in a high-total matchup. Falslev gets the slight nod if choosing between them because he has the larger shot volume and stuffs the stat sheet more. The freshman is averaging 12.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.0 steals per game with at least 30 DK in five of 10 games so far. He’s doing a bit of everything for Utah St as a breakout performer in the Mountain West. | ||||
| Christian Tucker | UTSA | UALR | 6600 | 28.03 |
| On the UTSA side of this high-scoring matchup tonight, Christian Tucker is the best per-dollar play. The point guard has at least 28 DK in five of the last six games while averaging 15.1 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in this stretch. As UTSA’s lead ball-handler in this fast-paced game flow, Tucker should have a strong cash floor with plenty of GPP upside as well. He’s locked into a big offensive role if Adante’ Holiman sits out again for UTSA. | ||||
| Adama Bal | STC | UTST | 6100 | 27.15 |
| Adama Bal is pretty underpriced tonight as one of Santa Clara’s top playmakers in a high-scoring matchup. The Arizona transfer is now playing a much bigger role on his new team, averaging 14.6 points and 7.0 rebounds/assists per game with 22% usage and shot rates. Bal is doing a bit of everything with at least 27 DK in six of 10 games so far and multiple 30-40 DK efforts. He’s a great bargain at just over 6k. Carlos Marshall should also be considered from Santa Clara, but he's been banged up lately – which points us more to Bal here. | ||||
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Ian Martinez | UTST | STC | 5700 | 19.14 |
| If you want some cheaper exposure to one of the highest totals on the slate, Ian Martinez is a decent value. The senior has now started the past four games for Utah St with 20+ DK in three of those. Martinez is a solid role player and is averaging 10.2 PPG while playing 30 minutes per game or so. You could do a lot worse in the mid-5k range for cash. | ||||
| Aden Holloway | AUB | NC-AS | 5600 | 19.72 |
| Auburn’s freshman point guard just exploded for 24 points and 30 DK vs Indiana on Saturday. Aden Holloway is quickly becoming Auburn’s second-best player behind Johni Broome but his price tag has not caught up yet. The DFS outputs have fluctuated this year, but Holloway still has the upside to smash this mid-5k price. An easy home matchup vs UNC Asheville should help him continue the strong play. | ||||
| Jalen Gaffney | FAU | FIU | 5600 | 18.28 |
| Jalen Gaffney continues to start in FAU’s backcourt with Nick Boyd still out. The starting role has increased Gaffney’s DFS value to a safer cash level now. He’s averaging 22 DK over the past six games while in a bigger role and is playing 30+ minutes per game. Gaffney has at least 24 DK in four of the past six as well. As long as he’s priced below 6k, he’s a great cash value – especially in this uptempo matchup with FAU boasting the highest team total of the slate. | ||||
| Dashawn Davis | MSST | MURR | 5100 | 17.94 |
| Dashawn Davis isn’t a top scorer or playmaker for Mississippi State, but he does plenty across the board to return value. The senior guard has 20+ DK in two straight and four of eight games so far while adding just enough points, assists, steals, and rebounds. Davis isn’t a flashy GPP value like others tonight, but he’s perfectly fine in cash as a salary-saver in the low-5k range. | ||||
| Daniel Foster | NEV | WSU | 4100 | 15.47 |
| The low-total matchup for Nevada makes it tough to pay up for many of the top Wolf Pack players. One cheap option to get exposure to the late-night games is Daniel Foster. The senior wing comes off the bench, but he’s been doing just enough lately to return value. Foster has 30, 27, and 18 DK in three of the last five games while producing across the board in enough stat categories. He’s a decent value for a guy who’s averaging 20 DK over the past five games. | ||||
| K.D. Johnson | AUB | NC-AS | 3800 | 14.09 |
| K.D. Johnson’s role is pretty defined for Auburn right now. He only plays 15-20 minutes per game off the bench, but he has the ball in his hands a ton when he’s on the court. The limited playing time definitely caps his cash or GPP value, but the heavy usage is at least a good thing. Johnson just had 14 points and 23 DK last game vs Indiana and always has the upside for 20+ DFS points when he’s active offensively in his handful of minutes. He’s worth a dart at sub-4k tonight in an easy matchup. | ||||
| Jackie Johnson III | UNLV | CRE | 3600 | 13.61 |
| Jackie Johnson comes off the bench for UNLV but he leads the team in usage (26%) and shot rate (30%) when on the floor. The backup guard is also shooting a team-high 52% from three so far. Though his minutes do fluctuate, Johnson is firing when he’s out there. He has 20+ DK in three of the last five games, which would clearly exceed this sub-4k price tag if he’s hitting some deep shots. | ||||
| Josh Banks | NC-AS | AUB | 3000 | 20.81 |
| Despite playing on the road at Auburn here, Josh Banks is simply mispriced. The senior wing is averaging 12.4 PPG and is playing about 30 minutes per game for UNC Asheville right now. He honestly has no business being the min price on DK as the team’s second-best player behind Drew Pember. It’s very likely that Pember struggles against Johni Broome tonight, so Banks could be leaned on more offensively. Either way, we’re talking about a min-price player who has 20+ DK in six of nine games so far. | ||||
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Dillon Jones | WSU | NEV | 8500 | 41.29 |
| Though Weber St is an underdog in a low-total road matchup at Nevada, Dillon Jones is still a top-tier play tonight. In a playmaking point-forward position, Jones is averaging 19.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 41 DK per game. His DFS floor is so high because of the locked-in 30% usage, heavy shot volume, and consistent rebounding as Weber St’s do-it-all guy. Jones has at least 29 DK in every game with multiple 40-50 DFS outputs. Even when Weber has played in low-scoring games, Jones gets his numbers. He even had 29 points, 10 boards, and 45 DK at Saint Mary's earlier this season. | ||||
| Johni Broome | AUB | NC-AS | 8300 | 34.22 |
| The big man battle between Drew Pember and Johni Broome will be exciting tonight in this Auburn vs UNC Asheville game. When looking at the prices for both, though, Pember is way too expensive to trust because Broome could easily frustrate him and limit his scoring. As for Broome, though, he brings in slate-breaking GPP upside at his best. The Auburn center has 54 and 43 DK in two recent games with 30- and 20-point double-doubles, respectively. Broome does carry foul risk, so limit him to GPP lineups instead of cash. | ||||
| Great Osobor | UTST | STC | 8300 | 39.62 |
| Utah State’s best player is a top overall play in all formats tonight. Great Osobor is scoring 19.5 PPG in a high-usage role offensively while also averaging 9.1 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. The stud big man a beast on both ends of the floor and has been producing consistently. Osobor has at least 35 DK in eight of 10 games with multiple 45-50 DFS performances. He brings a very strong floor/ceiling combo in this higher-scoring, uptempo matchup. | ||||
| Ryan Kalkbrenner | CRE | UNLV | 8200 | 30.08 |
| Though Ryan Kalkbrenner hasn’t been as consistent for DFS this season as expected, his GPP ceiling can still smash the slate. That’s especially true tonight with a price tag cheaper than other top forwards. Kalkbrenner has 36+ DK in four of the last six games with the nightly threat of a double-double and multiple blocks. UNLV has an undersized frontcourt and the 7-foot-1 Kalkbrenner could dominate the interior here to outperform other higher-priced guys. | ||||
| Kalib Boone | UNLV | CRE | 7000 | 29.25 |
| Kalib Boone has a tough head-to-head matchup down low vs Ryan Kalkbrenner. That may turn people off, but the UNLV big man still has GPP upside at his best. Boone has 35 and 40 DK in the past two games since entering the starting lineup. Potential foul trouble makes him risky here, but Boone could be leaned on offensively against a Creighton defense that’s strong against the perimeter but softer inside. | ||||
| DeAntoni Gordon | UALR | UTSA | 6900 | 27.33 |
| Jamir Chaplin is the headliner from Little Rock tonight, but DeAntoni Gordon is also a strong GPP play in this high-scoring matchup. The big man has popped off for 27+ DK in six of nine games this season with multiple 35+ DK efforts in there. Gordon brings a ton of upside in this uptempo game to smash the slate when he’s dominating inside offensively. He does bring some risk with foul issues and inconsistent shot volume/usage, but the GPP-winning ability is there at the sub-7k price. | ||||
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Trey Edmonds | UTSA | UALR | 5500 | 18.5 |
| Trey Edmonds isn’t a flashy value play, but he does give us cheap exposure to the highest total of the slate. The junior big man is playing just 15-20 minutes per game and most of his DFS value comes from rebounding and a few buckets around the rim. Still, that may be enough to return value because of the uptempo game flow. He also showed 30+ DK upside in two games earlier this season. | ||||
| Giancarlo Rosado | FAU | FIU | 4900 | 17.46 |
| First off, Vladislav Goldin should be strongly considered in GPP lineups as an upside forward play from FAU in the expensive price range. Looking a bit cheaper, though, Giancarlo Rosado can easily smash his sub-5k price tag tonight in this uptempo easy matchup vs FIU. The backup big is still limited to just 15 minutes or so behind Goldin in the frontcourt. Still, he’s popped off for 25 and 29 DK in two recent games and is very efficient in his limited playing time. FIU has a poor interior defense, so there’s GPP upside for both Goldin and Rosado tonight. | ||||
| Dylan Cardwell | AUB | NC-AS | 4300 | 14.12 |
| If you’re fading Johni Broome tonight because of his foul risk and bust potential, then Dylan Cardwell is the much cheaper GPP pivot. Auburn’s backup center has shown the upside for 20 DK or so when he’s getting more minutes in Broome’s place and doing just enough as a rebounder, shot-blocker, and inside scorer. Cardwell is impossible to trust in cash, but he’s a decent GPP dart throw option here. | ||||
| Fredrick King | CRE | UNLV | 4200 | 13.61 |
| Creighton has a few value GPP plays worth considering in this higher-total matchup. Mason Miller, Fredrick King, Francisco Farabello, and Isaac Traudt have all shown the upside at different times to smash their cheaper price tags. It’s tough to trust them in cash, but a 20+ DK performance is possible for any. As for King, the backup center is averaging 13.6 DK in just 12.4 minutes per game and his GPP value rises if Kalkbrenner gets into foul trouble. The UNLV frontcourt is undersized and below-average at rebounding, so King could do just enough if he sees more playing time. | ||||
