CBB DFS Picks for Today: Wednesday, 3/6

Best CBB DFS Plays Today: Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Khalif BattleARKLSU940020.81
Khalif Battle has been on a ridiculous tear lately with the Arkansas offense running heavily through him. He’s scored 42, 26, and 34 real points over the past three games with 50+ DK in each. The DK price has skyrocketed, but we still can’t ignore him with his high-usage role right now. Plus, this is an uptempo matchup with Arkansas favored at home. If you have the salary in GPP lineups, Battle is worth it if he keeps this going.
Jamal SheadUHUCF870032.49
Jamal Shead has been as good as it gets for cash guards. He’s averaging 16.5 points, 6.3 assists, 2.4 steals, and 35 DK over the past 10 games. Shead is locked into his high-usage role and the road matchup vs UCF tonight shouldn’t scare us away. He’s putting up 30 DK per game on the road this season and had 35 DK vs UCF in the first meeting.
Dalton KnechtTENNSCAR860032.79850030.60
If Tennessee is on the slate, then we have to put Dalton Knecht in our GPP player pool. The frontrunner for SEC Player of the Year has the ceiling to drop 30+ points and 40+ DK in any game when he’s on. Teams have been game-planning to slow him down recently, which hurts his cash floor. Still, Knecht has plenty of GPP upside to smash the slate. He had 31 points and 44 DK vs South Carolina back in January.
Posh AlexanderBUTLEXAV730027.72660025.99
When Butler faced Xavier earlier this season, Posh Alexander had a huge game with 21 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 43 DK. It was a true stat-stuffing effort, and we could get another tonight in the home rematch. Alexander tends to play up to his ceiling in uptempo games and this is a notable pace-boost vs Xavier. He’s not trustworthy for cash but there’s GPP potential here.
Dre DavisSHUVU720027.24
Even in a low-scoring game, Dre Davis still has GPP upside tonight with the hot streak he’s on. The Seton Hall wing is averaging 15.8 PPG and 31 DK over the past 10 games. Outside of Kadary Richmond, it’s Davis who is the most important playmaker for the Pirates right now and he’s seeing heavy usage and shot volume recently. He may go overlooked but can outperform this low-7k price tag on DK.
Tyson WalkerMSUNW690030.04
Tyson Walker admittedly hasn’t been living up to his higher price tags consistently lately. Even so, he’s coming off a 29 DK effort vs Purdue and has 28+ DK in three of the past four games now. Against Northwestern back in January, Walker went off for 27 points and 38 DK. He can exploit the matchup again in this home rematch with the Spartans likely leaning on him offensively.

Justin MooreVUSHU600019.4
Justin Moore is starting to heat up with 15 points/26 DK and 14 points/24 DK in the past two games. His shooting and overall DFS production have been way down and very inconsistent all season. Yet, Moore is starting to look more like the top-tier guy we’ve seen in years past. He’s shooting 8-for-14 from three over these past two contests and could carry that into tonight’s matchup.
Stevie MitchellMARQUCONN550018.19530017.40
With Tyler Kolek out again, Stevie Mitchell should be a bigger part of Marquette’s offense like he was over the weekend. In Kolek’s absence last game, Mitchell had season-highs in usage rate (24%), shot attempts (13), and points scored (15). The 29 DK effort has raised his price tag a bit but he’s still a solid value because Marquette needs him in the backcourt. Mitchell has been a decent role player but he’s now in a much bigger role without Kolek.
Jaden AkinsMSUNW530020.94
Despite scoring 13 points with 22 DK last game, Jaden Akins is discounted down to his cheapest DK price of the season tonight. He’s been underperforming lately, but Akins can exceed value when he’s priced this low. Akins is still shooting 41% from three over the past 10 games and Northwestern struggles to defend the deep ball. He had 13 points and 21 DK in the prior matchup vs NW.
Spencer JohnsonBYUISU520024.02570022.87
On the road against Iowa State’s elite defense is definitely a tough matchup and will likely have people fading BYU’s players. Still, Spencer Johnson shouldn’t be overlooked at an affordable DK price. Johnson is actually at a season-low DK price despite averaging a solid 22 DK over the past 10 games. Johnson exploded for 28 points and 50 DK in the first meeting vs Iowa State and though we can’t expect a repeat of that performance, it’s still a good sign that he can return value.
Dylan Addae-WusuSHUVU520021.88
Dylan Addae-Wusu has been tough to roster when priced around 6k or higher, but now we get a discount on him. This is his cheapest DK price of the season. Addae-Wusu tends to stuff the stat sheet just enough and can be a perfectly fine cash play tonight. He’s averaging 19 DK over the past 10 games and 22 DK on the season.
Blake SmithNWMSU35008.25
With all of Northwestern’s injuries, Blake Smith has now been thrust into meaningful minutes and a starting role. The sophomore has started the past two games with Ryan Langborg out, logging 27 and 29 minutes in these starts. He’s also put up 18 and 13 DK in the two games. Smith is a risky value on the road at Michigan State here, but he should be out there for 25-30 minutes with Ty Berry out and both Langborg and Matthew Nicholson questionable.

Quinten PostBCMIA890036.2
Quinten Post is the forward price king on the DK slate tonight, but that shouldn’t scare us off in GPP lineups. The Boston College center has the legit upside for 45-50 DK points or more, like he’s done in two straight and four times in the past eight contests. Post can take over the paint in softer matchups and he had success vs Miami last month with 23 points and 37 DK. Even on the road here, Post can break the slate if you want to pay up.
Norchad OmierMIABC840035.43
Though he hasn’t consistently lived up to his expensive prices lately, Norchad Omier should still be considered a top forward on this slate. The Miami big man is averaging 15.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 33 DK over the past 10 games, including his 20 points and 36 DK vs Boston College recently. Miami could be without Wooga Poplar and Nijel Pack again tonight, so Omier would be locked into shots and offensive usage more than usual. He had 22 points last game without them.
Eric DixonVUSHU760028.64
When Villanova faced Seton Hall last month, Eric Dixon anchored the Wildcats’ blowout victory with 18 points and 28 DK. The Nova big man has been the team’s most consistent player and is usually a safe cash option. Dixon is averaging 18.1 PPG and 30 DK over the past 10 games and is locked into heavy shot volume right now. He’ll be looking to bounce back after a down effort vs Providence over the weekend.
Oso IghodaroMARQUCONN720031.25800029.76
After missing last game with an illness, Oso Ighodaro is expected to play tonight vs UConn. His presence will surely be needed down low against Donovan Clingan. Plus, Ighodaro should be a feature offensively with Tyler Kolek still out for Marquette. Against UConn last month, Ighodaro had 14 points and 31 DK despite Marquette getting blown out. He’s worth a look in GPP lineups at his cheapest DK price since December.
Emanuel MillerTCUWVU710030.14720028.55
Against West Virginia last month, Emanuel Miller put up a stat-stuffing 29 DK in an easy win for TCU. Even on the road in this rematch, Miller should do plenty to be fine in cash with GPP upside against the Big 12’s worst defense. Miller has been up-and-down recently, but he can go for 30+ DK points in this favorable matchup and would be a bargain in the forward pool.

Tyrell WardLSUARK520015.55
LSU has a few cheap forwards to consider in this uptempo, high-scoring matchup with Arkansas. You can look at Will Baker and Jalen Reed for upside, while Tyrell Ward is also a GPP value. He’s scored double-digit points in five of the past seven games while shooting 43% from three over the past 10 contests. If Ward makes a few threes tonight, then he’ll exceed value.
Tyler BurtonVUSHU480020.03
Tyler Burton is another guy who’s at a season-low DK price tonight. That’s despite putting up 25 and 17 DK over the past two games while playing better than he had been over the previous month. Priced below 5k on the DK slate, Burton can return value with 20-25 DFS points – something he’s done in five of the past 10 contests. He also had 24 DK vs Seton Hall earlier this season.
Kachi NzehXAVBUTLE42006.2538005.93
Xavier has switched up its starting lineup the past two games and it’s resulted in Kachi Nzeh being a viable value play now. The freshman big man has started the past two contests with 22 and 28 minutes. He was quiet in the first game but was good over the weekend with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 24 DK. At sub-5k on DK, he’s worth a GPP dart if we get 5x return.
Xavier BookerMSUNW38007.79
After previously barely cracking the Michigan State rotation, Xavier Booker has seen a notable increase in playing time lately. He’s played 17 and 12 minutes in the past two games with 16 and 14 DK, respectively. It’s nothing huge, but his per-minute production and usage are very efficient despite the limited action. It seems Tom Izzo is trying to get Booker more involved heading into the postseason and he’s worth a GPP dart throw if he sees 20+ minutes tonight.
