Isn't the best part of this time of year the small same size extrapolation?!
@ExtraDividends

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Here are some tweets from the last day showing the impatience people have at this time of year.

A bag of hot NY garbage in July or Evan Gattis? Leaning garbage bag.

Will Jose Bautista ever hit a ball again?

Too early to drop Chris Carter for Mark Teixeira
@nick_sak

I'm set with closers. Is it to early to drop Delin Betances?

For the last three months I've tried to help prep you for the 2015 season. You've read the articles. You've purchased the Draft Guide. You've listened to SiriusXM Fantasy Sports radio. You've followed me on Twitter (@baseballguys) for three months.

The games start.
Ten days pass.
So what follows next?

Warning: This is graphic...

Don't be Dennis Quad

Show some patience.

No team in baseball has played even 10 games yet.

Patience.

Let's look back to the first month of the 2014 season to show why, in many cases, all you need is patience.

George Springer hit .182 with no homers his first 14 games.
Carlos Santana hit .151 through 27 games.
Pablo Sandoval hit .177 over 26 games.
Jose Reyes hit .200 over 11 games.
Matt Kemp hit .225 over 21 games.
Jose Altuve hit .276 in 28 games.
Adam Jones had one homer in 24 games.
Edwin Encarnacion had two homers in 27 games.

To point it out explicitly, the above numbers are from a sample size that is, in many cases, three times as large as the amount of games that we're talking about in 2015. Three times. Those guys all had pretty good seasons when all was said and done, right?

I'm not saying that all players who struggle early come around, they clearly don't (history shows us that). At the same time, if you are going to panic and change what you thought about a player based on a handful of games - well we have a name for that - a loser. You have to let guys breath a bit. Don't drop Leonys Martin for Mike Moustakas or George Springer for Stephen Vogt. Trust the time, effort and research you put in over the last three months. Trust me.

For more on patience give the article written by Todd Zola a read.
