Max Scherzer finished his 2020 season with a victory on Saturday, limiting the Mets to three runs on six hits over his six innings of work.
The right-hander struck out seven on the afternoon while issuing a pair of free passes. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, as Wilson Ramos crushed a two-run homer in the third inning and Amed Rosario added a solo shot in the fourth. The 36-year-old finishes the season with a 5-4 record, 3.74 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 92/23 K/BB ratio across 67 1/3 innings.
