Welcome to the weekly wide receiver/cornerback breakdown! We will review each of the outside matchups, as well as my 10 favorite matchups in the slot. Then, below the charts in this article, I break down my elite, affordable, and bargain. And for the first time we have access to our entire roster again as bye weeks have officially passed! Well, at least according to byes anyway. The NFL Covid outbreak has hit epic proportions and I will do my best to update this article as news breaks, hopefully more good than bad. worry, we have you covered in all formats. This article is critical for daily players and season long, as this will help you gain a competitive advantage when setting your lineups. I will list a couple extra DFS plays along the way that I like but here are my five favorites. Follow me on Twitter (@fightingchance) as well!

Left Wide Receivers vs. Right Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
A.J. GreenARIAmani OruwariyeDET

The team will be without DeAndre Hopkins for the rest of the regular seaosn and Green is coming off a game where he had ten targets and 102 yards against the Rams. It is a short week, but they turn around with one of the more pillow soft matchups possible against the Lions. Oruwariye does allow nearly 14 yards per catch, but also under 63 percent of passes his way to be caught. Green has over 75 yards in two of the last three games, but even in this easy matchup, I am troubled thinking of putting him in my season long lineup with the playoffs on the line. He could come with a nice reward, but certainly comes with risk as well.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Olamide ZaccheausATLEmmanuel MoseleySF

The Falcons won a game and scored 29 points, but Zaccheaus didn't even see a target. I mean this shouldn't be a surprise has he hasn't had more than three catches in any game and has only one with over 50 receiving yards. Zaccheaus hasn't scored since Week 9. Not sure why I am still writing about him, you probably have already lost interest and have moved on so I am going to as well.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marquise BrownBALJaire AlexanderGB

He wasn't bad last week, but I think I speak for everyone when I say I was disappointed in five catches for 41 yards. I know Lamar Jackson left early, but all that did was make the team throw a lot more. The plan is for Jackson to play this week, and he clearly has not been himself lately. Green Bay has allowed 23 passing touchdowns in 13 games, including a couple long ones to the Bears last Sunday night. You would think that the quarterback might be less movile this week and therefore throw more and Jackson seems to like Brown more than Bateman. Even with Jaire Alexander likely in his first game back I would still roll Brown out in season long leagues, but look elsewhere in DFS games.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Stefon DiggsBUFStephon GilmoreCAR

Seven catches for 74 yards isn't a bad line by any stretch, but we need more from Diggs down the stretch. Most importantly, we need him to get back in the end zone again. There is some slight concern with Josh Allen's turf toe, but I would be shocked if that guy didn't tough it out and get under center against Carolina. Gilmore is finally playing a full game's worth of snaps, but usually doesn't get thrown at much. That is sure to change this week. Diggs will certainly be a start in season long leagues as he is easily one of the top-15 wide receivers in the game, but you can probably find a similar priced receiver with a much better matchup for DFS purposes.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
D.J. MooreCARLevi WallaceBUF

After a month of fairly ordinary production, Moore has gotten it going again in the last two weeks as he has had ten catches for 187 yards against the Dolphins and Falcons. Moore also has back to back games with ten targets. The Bills secondary has been the best in football, although they are slipping a little bit late since they lost Tre'Davious White. Given the inconsistency at quarterback I couldn't suggest Moore in DFS contests, but I would say he would be a very viable WR3 option for your Week 15 season long lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Darnell MooneyCHIPatrick PetersonMIN

Despite the fact that they scored 30 points and Fields threw for two touchdowns, don't let the boxscore fool you, the Bears passing game was bad. The two touchdowns were both short passes the receivers turned into long touchdowns, not some great work by Fields. Mooney had just one catch on five targets for 19 yards, and it is hard to envision that Fields is going to run the offense more efficiently this week even against a Vikings secondary that is definitely vulnerable. Mooney had mild success with Fields starting before, and the kid is more talented than he is showing at the moment. I couldn't stake my DFS dollars to Mooney, but unless you are stacked at wide receiver he probably is still worth a starting spot in your season long lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tee HigginsCINRonald DarbyDEN

It took him a bit to get going, and Ja'Marr Chase did get the glory of the touchdowns, but Higgins had another strong game with five catches for 114 yards against the 49ers. That is now three straight games with over 100 receiving yards and Higgins is peaking at the right time for fantasy players. This week is going to be a stiff test though, as the Broncos have allowed just 16 passing touchdowns in 13 games this season. However, they did give up a couple touchdown passes to Justin Herbert and Dak Prescott, so you can succeed against this team. Darby has been tough allowing just 57% of passes to be caught and a respectable 86.7 quarterback rating against. However, this game has all kinds of playoff implications and I still like Higgins to continue his hot streak and I could fire him up in season long or DFS contests.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Donovan Peoples-JonesCLECasey HaywardLV

It has been an incredibly inconsistent year for Peoples-Jones as he has had some very exciting games and some total duds. He had been suffering from a groin injury, but appears to be past that as he had five catches for 90 yards against the Ravens. The Raiders have allowed 24 pass touchdowns in 13 games, but Casey Hayward has not been responsible for any of those and has a 71.3 quarterback rating against this year. If you want to put him in your season long lineup as a flex you can take a chance, but I am not in love with this matchup.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Amari CooperDALJames BradberryNYG

He is starting to look like his old self again and had a good game against Washington with five catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. There is little doubt now that CeeDee Lamb is the leader of this passing attack now, but that doesn't mean that Cooper isn't still a high level producer. He had three catches for 60 yards and a score back in Week 5 against the Giants, and New York has allowed 23 passing touchdowns in 13 games this season. Bradberry has given up four touchdowns in the last four weeks and allowed seven of eight passes at him to be caught last week. I still like Lamb better, but I definitely see the case for Cooper to be in your starting lineups in both season long and DFS contests for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Courtland SuttonDENEli AppleCIN

He has officially hit rock bottom. Sutton has been a mess since Jerry Jeudy came back, but in a game where the team scored 38 points he had just one catch for nine yards on two targets. I mean the team ran a ton, but still we expected more. He now has had more than four targets just once in the last six weeks and hasn't had more than two catches since Week 7. The matchup doesn't matter anymore, it doesn't appear that Sutton is even worth being on rosters, nevermind being considered for starting spots on anyone's fantasy squad.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Josh ReynoldsDETByron MurphyARZ

As usual, most of the game was garbage time for the Lions, but Reynolds only managed three catches for 52 yards on five targets. Jared Goff was really spreading it around, but has found a favorite target lately in rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown. Reynolds is the deep ball threat as he has averaged 19 yards per catch over the last three weeks. The Cardinals are going to beat the crap out of the Lions like everyone is right now, and Goff should have to throw the ball nearly 40 times again. Reynolds isn't a terrible choice for your flex spot if you are in a desperate spot, but I don't really want any Lion in my Week 15 lineup against a strong Arizona defense.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Davante AdamsGBJimmy SmithBAL

It is Week 15 I hope you don't need me to tell you at this point that Davante Adams is an absolute stud. He had ten catches for 121 yards and two scores against the Bears and has been one of the top receivers in fantasy. The Ravens are the second worst secondary by yards per game allowed and have surrendered 21 passing touchdowns in 13 games. Adams is an absolute beast and absolutely should be in play in all fantasy formats this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Brandin CooksHOUTyson CampbellJAX

The Houston passing game got a little lift with Davis Mills under center and Cooks had his best game since Week 3 with eight catches for 101 yards against Seattle. He had a great game against the Jags in Week 1 with five catches for 132 yards, but I am not sure how much that means three months later. The Jags have allowed just 17 passing touchdowns in 13 games this season, but I can still see Cooks being a viable option as a low end WR2, and a guy to consider in DFS GPP contests.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Michael PittmanINDJ.C. JacksonNE

This should be a very interesting matchup as Pittman is taking the next step in fantasy football and the Patriots have been one of the better secondaries all season long. While I think the Pats have been somewhat aided by a soft schedule, there is no denying the talent in the secondary. Jackson is allowing just a 52 percent catch rate and only one touchdown allowed all season and that was in Week 4. The Colts offense has been inconsistent this season so I wouldn't want to trust them in DFS games, but at this point of the season I have to believe that Pittman belongs in your season long lineups for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marvin JonesJAXDesmond KingHOU

He had his best game since Week 6 with his six catches for 70 yards and had a 30 yard catch called back or he could have had a 100-yard game. That game was against a soft defense in Tennessee and he gets another one in Week 15 against the Texans who were crushed by the Seahawks and have been pretty terrible in the second half of the season. Jones had five catches for 77 yards with a touchdown the first game against Houston, but that was in Week 1. I would like Jones in this matchup, but Trevor Lawrence has been so terrible. He is a risky dart throw for DFS purposes, and he isn't a bad option at the flex, but you should really consider other options.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mecole HardmanKCMichael DavisLAC

Yeah, he broke 50 yards, but Hardman had just two catches on two targets and now hasn't had more than two catches in a game since Week 9. Hardman is completely touchdown dependent as he hasn't been making the big plays, and he has just one touchdown all year. What does that tell you about his fantasy value? Right, it means Hardman is still irrelevant for fantasy purposes, especially against a team he had just 33 yards against in Week 3.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Van JeffersonLARD.J. ReedSEA

He has scored in three straight games and has broken 50 receiving yards in three of the last four. Without Beckham, that automatically elevates Jefferson to not only a starting role, but a role that could see him have his highest target count of the season. He had just one catch the first time against Seattle, but that obviously was a totally different situation. The Rams are paper thin at pass catching options right now and Jefferson is a dynamite option in both season long and DFS lineups against a pass defense that has been very giving all season. Reed is the best they have, but I still expect Stafford and Jefferson to hook up at least six times.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mike WilliamsLACCharvarious WardKC

With no Keenan Allen we expected more from Williams, but his six catches and 61 yards against the Giants weren't horrible. It just felt like he left more opportunities on the field. It seems like Williams is getting back on track after a pretty anemic stretch in late October and November. They get a short turnaround to Thursday night and a Chiefs secondary that is vulnerable, but has been playing much better of late. WIlliams had seven catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns against them in Week 3, but neither Williams nor the Chiefs seem to be the same players since then. While Kansas City has really toughened up against the pass, Justin Herbert is doing great work right now. I still like Williams in season long leagues and I think he will be a great choice for your lineup in the Thursday night DFS showdown slate.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Bryan EdwardsLVDenzel WardCLE

The Raiders have been flat for a few weeks and that was no different in Week 14 against the Chiefs when he had two catches for 24 yards. Edwards has only had four games all season of more than 50 yards, and eeven though the Browns secondary has been not great to be polite. This game is not going to be high scoring as it is never easy to play in Cleveland in December. Edwards is just not enough of the game plan to be considered for any sort of fantasy game.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeVante ParkerMIABryce HallNYJ

He was able to get through the game before the bye in Week 13 and had five catches for 62 yards against the Giants. If possible, the matchup is even easier this week against the Jets who have been one of the worst defenses (against the pass and otherwise) all season. Parker has more than five targets in every game this season, and with Jaylen Waddle now out due to Covid and a chunk of the running game out as well, Parker just became a bit more intriguing than he normally would have been. He is now someone that I trust starting in season long leagues and a pretty inexpensive guy for your DFS lineups against a really soft defense.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Justin JeffersonMINJaylon JohnsonCHI

Shockingly the Vikings haven't played their division rivals in Chicago yet. You might worry about him playing outdoors in Chicago in December, but the Vikings did play there in mid-November last season and he had eight catches for 135 yards. He has five straight weeks over 75 receiving yards and four touchdowns in the last four weeks. He has double digit targets in four of the last five games and in that fifth game he had nine targets. Jefferson is on an absolute tear and the Bears secondary has already allowed over 20 passing touchdowns. Just like last Thursday, he will be a captain option on the Monday Night Football showdown slate.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kendrick BourneNEXavier RhodesIND

Seems like a long time since we saw the Patriots offense since they had last week off and the week before they ran the ball every play but three. However, he did have three touchdowns in the three weeks before that, and Bourne has seen an uptick in usage. The Colts secondary is pretty awful so you could target him as a lower salary option in DFS games and he is no worse than a flex play for your Week 15 season long lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marquez CallawayNOJamel DeanTB

It was another hideous game for the Saints passing game, as Taysom Hill only threw it 21 times and didn’t come that close to 200 passing yards against one of the worst defenses in football. Callaway had just two catches for 34 yards, and I am swearing off Saints pass catchers for the rest of the season. Tampa's secondary is starting to round into shape again as they get healthier and Callaway will be a boom or bust candidate that will be MUCH more likely to bust.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kenny GolladayNYGTrevon DiggsDAL

He led the team in targets with eight, but Golladay managed just two catches for 15 yards against the Chargers. Sure, Los Angeles has a strong corner in Chris Harris, but you'd think Golladay could muster more than that sad production. He still hasn't scored this season and he hasn't had more than 50 yards receiving since Week 4. He had no catches on three targets back in Week 5 against the Cowboys, and while I don't expect him to be quite that bad this week, I have absolutely zero faith that Golladay will do anything that resembles a fantasy relevant stat line as the Giants don't have a competent quarterback healthy enough to lead a decent offense.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Braxton BerriosNYJXavien HowardMIA

Elijah Moore was put on IR just before Week 14 and Corey Davis is done for the year. This is going to be a rough end of the year for the Jets throwing the ball with an inconsistent rookie and a receiving group dearth of talent. Berrios was clearly the top target last week as Wilson looked his way ten times and had six catches for 52 yards. I don't expect the Jets to be able to move the ball well through the air against the Dolphins and Berrios will only be a very risky dart throw against a Miami secondary that has had a strong second half of the season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeVonta SmithPHIWilliam JacksonWFT

The kid is definitely the main target of the wide receivers, but Gardner Minshew didn't really look his way and Smith's targets have been declining in the last month. It is tough to have a powerful passing game when the team doesn't trust their quarterback to throw the ball more than 18-20 times. Washington has been a terrible pass defense but over the last six weeks they definitely have improved. I am not trusting Smith in DFS contest, but he is still worthy of a start in seasonal leagues where you hope he finds the end zone and three or four catches.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Diontae JohnsonPITJanoris JenkinsTEN

As usual he had double digit targets last Thursday, but only turned it into five catches for 76 yards, although he did have a two point conversion. What's left to say about Johnson that I don’t say about him every week? Ben is looking to finish the season (and perhaps his career) as strong as possible and Johnson is his number one target by far. The Titans secondary is an absolute disaster and has already given up more than 20 passing touchdowns. Jenkins is allowing 70% of passes to be caught and a quarterback rating against of over 110. Johnson is going to be a dynamite start in both season long and DFS for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
D.K. MetcalfSEADarious WilliamsLAR

It was another let down performance in a long string of let down performances for Metcalf as he had just four catches for 43 yards against the pathetic Texans. He now hasn't topped 60 receiving yards since Week 7. It is Week 15 so let that sink in. He had five catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the first game against the Rams, but Metcalf is definitely trending in the wrong direction. I am not saying sit him in your fantasy playoff matchup, but I don't have overly high hopes for him this week and am not considering him for any DFS contest regardless of his success against the Rams the first time and Jalen Ramsey all but guaranteed to miss this game.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Deebo SamuelSFFabian MoreauATL

He has been used much more as a runner than a pass catcher in the last few weeks, but it really doesn't matter as Samuel has scored a touchdown in four straight weeks and has six scores over that time. He is just amazing at extending plays and getting the yardage needed. The Falcons have allowed 26 passing touchdowns and 23 rushing touchdowns this season, so there is little doubt that Samuel will be able to find the end zone again. It would be helpful if Elijah Mitchell was back and Samuel was used more as a wide receiver, but either way I have extreme confidence that Deebo is going to find a way to impact this game in a very fantasy friendly way. From here to the end of the season he is a great play in DFS whether it be cash or GPPs and he has been a must-start in season long leagues all year long.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mike EvansTBMarshon LattimoreNO

It was another strong game for Evans as he had six catches for 91 yards and caught an absolute dart for a touchdown. This is now back to back games with over 90 yards. The matchup gets tougher this week against a Saints secondary that has allowed just 18 passing touchdowns in 13 games. However, their stud corner Lattimore did give up eight of those 18, including two in the first game against the Bucs which one went to Evans. Lattimore has allowed over 100 yards in a game four different times this season, and I feel like Brady is going to crush what is left of the Saints playoff dreams. I like Evans a lot this week and would use him in season long and all formats of DFS contests for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Julio JonesTENJoe HadenPIT

Mr. Busted Hamstring actually managed to play a game, although he didn't play his full complement of snaps. Jones led the team with six targets, but had just four catches for 33 yards. He is averaging just over five targets a game, but just over three catches and only 53 yards per game. He also hasn't scored once this season. Jones is really an ill-advised flex play at this point of the season as the production just hasn't been there. You can expect the Titans to try to control the ball on the ground again as the Steelers are a bottom three run defenes. Jones has a ceiling of ten fantasy points in PPR leagues as that is the most you can hope for. And that might be generous as he has hit that just once all year.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Terry McLaurinWFTDarius SlayPHI

He left the game with a potential head injury, but McLaurin should be ready to go for Week 15. He may not have played the whole game, but he still finished with no catches on four targets, and his season is trending in the wrong direction fast. He also will be dealing with a quarterback who isnt' great who also isn't 100 percent against an Eagles secondary that is coming off a bye and allows just 227 yards per game through the air. NFC East games are always tough and Slay is allowing just 8.8 yards per catch and a 71.2 quarterback rating against. McLaurin is going to be a real tough start in what is likely a do or die week for you and he is completely off the DFS radar.

Right Wide Receivers vs. Left Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Christian KirkARZDean MarloweDET

THIS is the guy I am interested in this week. Not only is DeAndre Hopkins now done for the rest of the season, but the Lions lost perhaps their best corner in Jerry Jacobs this week. So, the Cards are down a receiver and the Lions are down a corner. Kirk has five games of more than 70 yards already this season, and you have to figure that Arizona is going to be able to move the ball against the Lions almost at will. The concern is them getting up big and running the ball more, but their running backs are also not overly healthy. Give me Kirk as a flex play and as a dazzling dart throw in Week 15 DFS contests.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tajae SharpeATLJosh NormanSF

He has not scored all season and has just 25 catches in 13 games. The Falcons are just not throwing to their wide receivers and even though the Niners secondary definitely has injury concerns, Sharpe is not someone to give a second thought to for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Rashod BatemanBALEric StokesGB

He has had a few big games, but far more have been less than satisfying as Bateman looks to finish up his rookie season. I would feel better about him in a better matchup than this, but I do like his target share most weeks. But Eric Stokes has allowed just 49% of passes his way to be caught and only three touchdowns all year. Bateman is definitely worthy of being a flex play in your season long Week 15 lineups, but I think the whole Ravens offense might be an avoid in this one with the uncertainty surrounding Lamar Jackson.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Gabriel DavisBUFC.J. HendersonCAR

Emmanuel Sanders went down with a knee injury last week, but he hasn't been overly involved much in the last month anyway. This could open up the chance for Davis to do even more. He had five catches for 43 yards and a score against the Bucs and now has a touchdown in each of the last two weeks. He only has 24 catches all season, but four of those have been scores. With the chance to be more involved in the offense this week, I like him even more. Henderson has allowed nearly 85% of passes his way to be caught since joining Carolina for 14.9 yards per grab. Assuming Josh Allen goes into the game fairly healthy I like Davis a lot as a fill in for your seasonal lineups and a great dart throw in DFS as a guy who has a knack for finding the end zone and will have added opportunities this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Robby AndersonCARDane JacksonBUF

WE HAVE A SIGHTING! Anderson showdd up for the first time all season with seven catches for 84 yards and a score last week against the Falcons. That was season highs in all categories. I have to say that I am skeptical that he can do it again, but I am hopeful. Unless he really helps you fit in some studs I am staying away in DFS, but I will give him a start in season long leagues if he has been rotting on your bench for most of the season or if you have injuries, but with no teams on bye you could definitely have better options.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Damiere ByrdCHIMackenzie AlexanderMIN

With Allen Robinson now out due to Covid, that should put Byrd as the other starting receiver. He did have 74 yards and a touchdown last week, but 60 of those yards came on one score which was a short pass that he just found a seam in the defense and outran everyone. The Bears passing game isn't exciting by any stretch, so the fact that they are playing the Vikings doesn't add any intrigue to Byrd getting more snaps. Despite the long touchdown last week, he is still not on the fantasy radar for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Ja'Marr ChaseCINPatrick SurtainDEN

After five straight games of 52 yards or less, Chase came back to life with five catches for 77 yards and two touchdowns, and nearly had a third if he could have controlled the ball a little better on a catch. He also did have a couple of bad drops, which makes me nervous with him going forward. He has the chance to make huge plays, but I feel like he is battling inconsistency at the wrong time. The Denver secondary is far superiort o San Francisco's and Surtain has had a phenomenal rookie year. He's allowing just 52% of passes to be caught and has allowed just three touchdowns all season. Chase is a guy you never sit in season long games, but I am worried about him putting up a dud this week enough he won't be in my DFS builds.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Rashard HigginsCLEBrandon FacysonLV

The Browns receiving group has been crushed by injury, and even though he was active last week, Higgins wasn't even targeted. He was a healthy scratch the week before, and even against a Raiders secondary that you can throw on some, you can't consider any wide receiver on the Browns after Jarvis Landry and MAYBE Donovan Peoples-Jones.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Michael GallupDALAaron RobinsonNYG

He had a big game on Thanksgiving, but when the Cowboys are at full strength at wide receiver like they are now, Gallup generally doesn't produce enough to be a big time fantasy guy. He is still targeted heavily as he has 18 looks in the last two weeks, but combined they were good for just ten catches and 96 yards. You need a lot more production on those short to intermediate route to make a big splash in fantasy. The Giants secondary is imploding down the stretch, but I don't know if there is enough work to go around for all three Cowboys to be in play for DFS purposes. Despite the heavy usage, I would limit my exposure to Gallup only to season long leagues for the crucial Week 15 matchups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tim PatrickDENTre FlowersCIN

He did have five targets of Bridgewater's 25 throws, but Patrick still finished with just two catches and 21 yards. As I said earlier, the team just ran the ball down the Lions throat, but you still had to have higher expectations than this. Patrick has had more than three catches just once since Week 5 and hasn't topped 30 receiving yards since Week 10. The team is a very ball controlled attack and will run as much as they can. He has had five or more targets in four of the last five games, but this attention just isn't turning into prodcution. Patrick belongs on your bench and perhaps the waiver wire and he is not in consideration for any role on any fantasy team for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kalif RaymondDETRobert AlfordARZ

He had somewhat of a role back in late September and early October, but Raymond has been an afterthought since just before the team's bye. Raymond has topped 40 receiving yards just once since Week 5 and has also only scored once since then. The Cardinals have been an incredibly strong pass defense this year and even though Jared Goff will probably throw it 40 times again, Raymond won't be worth your time in any fantasy format for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marquez Valdes-ScantlingGBAnthony AverettBAL

Aaaaah, the volatility of MVS strikes again. After 19 targets the previous two weeks, Valdes-Scantling had just three catches for 20 yards on five targets. He did get one look in the end zone but was unable to make the catch. Shockingly, Allen Lazard stepped up and had a big game. The Ravens are bad, but we are playing the "hope for a big play" game with MVS as we do every week. Averett has surrendered a play of 30 yards or more in three straight weeks so the chance is there. It is just a matter of how much you really want to roll the dice in a crucial week. I might prefer him as a DFS GPP dart throw where you hope that he has one of his rare big games than trusting him in a season long contest.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Nico CollinsHOUShaquill GriffinJAX

The rookie had his best game of the season with five catches for 69 yards against Seattle in Week 14. His ten targets were by far his most of the season as well. The Jaguars secondary isn't great, but it is far from the worst in the league. Given how inconsistent his role has been all season, I would not want to trust Collins in any starting lineup in daily or season long leagues. He could have a little more value with Davis Mills at quarterback, but I'm not ready to put my season on the line with him.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
T.Y. HiltonINDJalen MillsNE

He only had two targets in the game before the bye, and Hiton has only scored once and hasn't topped 30 receiving yards since Week 1. I think he has become fantasy irrelevant in any matchup, but especially against New England there is no way that you can consider him to be one of your starters in any format.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Laquon TreadwellJAXTerrence MitchellHOU

He is SO far from a sexy choice, but Treadwell had four catches for 68 yards against the Titans last week and now has three straight games of four catches and 53 yards or more. Is that going to win you a fantasy week? No, but if you have a tough time filling out a lineup for Week 15, Treadwell is nearly a lock against a Houston secondary that has allowed 20 touchdowns this season and are tanking on defense badly down the stretch.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Byron PringleKCTevaughn CampbellLAC

None of the other wide receivers for Kansas City are fantasy relevant after Tyreek Hill, so it doesn't really matter who I include here . That means nothing as Pringle and Demarcus Robinson are all just guys on the field and not to consider in fantasy.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Ben SkowranekLARSidney JonesSEA

He hasn't had much of a role all season, but appears to be forced into action this week as the Rams deal with a Covid outbreak. His season highs are three catches and 35 yards, but this should be a whole different situation. While the Rams options might be limited to throw to, it just seems way too cute to put your season on the line or your DFS dollars on a guy who has had 11 targets the entire season. The Seahawks secondary hasn't played well, but if you are going to target someone on the Rams I highly recommend going for someone with more playing experience even though the price tags will be much higher.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jalen GuytonLACMike HughesKC

I didn't have a ton of faith in him heading into this game but Guyton did have three catches for 87 yards and his second straight game with a touchdown. 59 of those yards came on that spectacular throw from Herbert, and Guyton wasn't looked too much in the rest of the game and that was with the team down Keenan Allen. If you want to take the dart throw in the Thursday night showdown slate that Guyton finds another long touchdown from Herbert that isn't the worst idea, but minus that big play he isn't likely to give you much else with Keenan Allen back on the field.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Zay JonesLVGreedy WilliamsCLE

He has seen an uptick in usage since Darren Waller was hurt and Jones had five catches in Week 14 for the second time in the last three weeks. However, his five catches produced just 25 yards, and had under 30 receiving yards for the fifth time in the last six weeks. Jones also hasn't scored since Week 1 and even though he has 19 targets in the last three weeks, he just isn't producing enough to be worth any fantasy consideration.

Albert WilsonMIAIsaiah DunnNYJ

You could get excited about the eight targets that he had in Week 13 before their bye even with the return of DeVante Parker. I hate to rain on your parade (not that I think anyone is having an Albert Wilson parade) but it turned into four catches and just 26 yards. It is his third straight game under 30 receiving yards after his one fantasy relevant game. The Jets are awful, but I am not putting my playoff life or DFS money on the fortunes of Albert Wilson even though the team is without Jaylen Waddle.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Adam ThielenMINKindle VildorCHI

He likely won't be 100% coming into this game trying to come back quickly from a high ankle sprain, but I do think the extra day will do him a world of good. Touchdowns are hard to predict, but there only have been a few where he hasn't scored this year. Vildor himself has allowed four touchdowns as well as over 16 yards per catch. Even if Thielen is limited I like him in both season long and DFS games on a showdown slate against a pass defense that has allowed over 20 touchdowns through the air this season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Nelson AgholorNERock Ya-SinIND

Obviously he didn't do anything in the Buffalo game, but honestly outside of the few games he has actually caught a touchdown he hasn't been worth much. Agholor is a fourth or fifth option on a less than stellar passing offense. The Colts defense sucks, but even Agholor isn't a good enough bet in any fantasy format to take a chance that he has a rare solid good game.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tre'Quan SmithNOCarlton DavisTB

I thought he had a chance to do something against the Jets, but alas the Saints pass game is just awful. He had three catches for 33 yards on three targets, and unfortunately just isn't worth a spot in a starting lineup or even a dart throw as long as Taysom Hill is at quarterback. Smith's ceiling is likely four catches for 50 yards with a strong chance of getting less than that.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Darius SlaytonNYGAnthony BrownDAL

The Cowboys secondary hasn't been great, but good lord this Giants offense is bad. Mike Glennon is bad enough that they said this week they are "considering sprinkling in Jake Fromm" on Sunday. You know , the fifth round pick from last year who hasn't thrown a pass. Slayton has disappointed for two seasons now and while the opportunity might be there with the Giants down some offensive players, between the quarterback and Slayton's recent performances you should not consider him for your lineups this weekend.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Keelan ColeNYJByron JonesMIA

He was tied for second in targets among wide receivers on the team with six, but Cole had just one catch for 27 yards. There is really nothing that you can look at in the Jets passing game that gives you any faith that any of these players will start to put together consistent fantasy production. Jones has allowed three touchdowns this season, but only one since Week 7. Cole isn't worth the amount of time I have already spent on him for this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jalen ReagorPHIDarryl RobertsWFT

He continues to be an afterthought as he had just one catch on his only target for seven yards against the Jets before the Eagles bye. Reagor hasn't had more than two catches since October, and that was three catches for 24 yards. Even with Quez Watkins out with Covid, Reagor is a bust in both fantasy and in real football and should stay on the wire where he belongs.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Chase ClaypoolPITKristian FultonTEN

We are going to ignore the whole celebrating a first down as time was ticking away thing here. I am going to focus on the fact that Claypool has had over 80 receiving yards in three of the last four weeks as the Steelers seem to have found a new desire to be pass heavy again. Not only has he topped 80 yards, but Claypool also has eight targets or more in three of the last four weeks. The Titans secondary is bottom ten in the league in pretty much any category. You always think Diontae Johnson first in DFS contest, but I absolutely likel Claypool as a start in season long leagues.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Brandon AiyukSFA.J. TerrellATL

His toe-tapping game-winning touchdown was a thing of beauty on Sunday, and Aiyuk is firmly back in the Niners game plan now as he had 11 targets against the Bengals. Terrell has played exceedingly well all season and has been ranked inside the top 10 of PFF's cornerback ratings, allowing just 44% of passes to be caught. I just can't see Atlanta holding the 49ers passing game down, and Aiyuk not having a solid game. He has six targets or more in six of the last seven games, and has scored in three of the last six. He has become a must-start in season long leagues even with no teams on bye, and is a risky play with a potential high reward for DFS tournaments.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
D'Wayne EskridgeSEADavid LongLAR

He has been used quite sporadically to be polite, but Eskridge will be forced into a larger role this week with Tyler Lockett ending up on the Covid list. I now expect the Seahawks to run the ball a great deal considering Lockett has been the main target for a month and the Rams are slightly more beatable on the ground than they are in the air. Eskridge will see the most targets he has all season this week, but his high has been three, so that really isn't a high bar. If the matchup was better I might be more apt to think about him in a season long lineup, but unless you are in a 14-16 team league I really have a hard time thinking he will have a fantasy worthy day.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Breshad PerrimanTBPaulson AdeboNO

I'll give Perriman props for his game-winning touchdown by including him here, but there is no wide receiver outside of Evans and Godwin you should be considering for fantasy purposes. Tyler Johnson had three catches, but they were for just 17 yards and Perriman was only targeted twice. This is a tough matchup against a Saints secondary that is generally pretty strong and Perriman shouldn't even come into play as a desperation dart throw for any DFS contests.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Nick Westbrook-IkhineTENCameron SuttonPIT

He definitely saw a dip on usage as Westbrook-Ikhine had just three targets against the Jaguars. He did catch all three, but they were good for just 31 yards. His game of seven catches for 107 yards in Week 111 agains the Texans certainly seems like an outlier. His 31 yards this week were just the third time he topped 30 all seaosn long and he has had more than three catches just twice. Even against a Steelers secondary that hasn't been great this season, Westbrook-Ikhine will not be in play for season long or DFS contests for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeAndre CarterWFTSteven NelsonPHI

I was hopeful that perhaps Curtis Samuel could have some sort of impact down the stretch, but all of those thoughts are gone. Carter isn't either, but at least he has three touchdowns this year and has five or more targets in four of the last six weeks. Of course, he has only broken 50 yards three times all season and hasn't scored in three weeks, but he is the next most used receiver. The Eagles have a strong secondary and are coming off their bye and Carter should not be in your fantasy plans for Week 15.

Now, here are my 10 favorite matchups in the slot in Week 15.

Slot Wide Receivers vs. Slot Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Cooper KuppLARUgo AmadiSEA

Don't even take a chance and talk about the C word and Kupp and jinx it this weekend. The Rams are an intense C word protocol but so far the best fantasy receiver has been spared. The Seahawks allow the most yards per game through the air by nearly 15 yards and Kupp had seven catches for 92 yards against them in Week 5. Well, Robert Woods was around then, and Beckham isn't playing this week either. Kupp is an absolute no brainer in both season long and DFS contests in Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tyreek HillKCChris HarrisLAC

While he has had some good games, Hill hasn't been the elite level producer since the first month of the season. He only has four touchdowns since Week 4 and two of those came in the same game. He has failed to top 80 receiving yards in seven of the nine games since his enormous Week 4 performance. He had five catches and 56 yards without a score against the Chargers back in Week 3 and Harris is one of the better slot corners in the game. He is allowing 12.6 yards per catch which is high for a slot corner and a 70% catch rate. Hill is a candidate to explode in any game and never sits in season long leagues and on the Thursday showdown slate he isn't a bad choice obviously, but I prefer Travis Kelce if you are choosing between the two.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Keenan AllenLACRashad FentonKC

He missed last week with the Covid positive, but Allen is on track to play on Thursday. His volume is undeniable, his production is top notch, and the Chargers are going to come out throwing on Thursday and this should be one of the more entertaining games all season from Thursday Night Football. Allen had eight catches for 50 yards and a score in Week 3 against the Chiefs, and Sneed missed last week's game with a personal issue. If he misses again, the sky could be the limit for Allen as we saw Hunter Renfrow TORTURE the Chiefs out of the slot last Sunday. Allen is a no-brainer in season long leagues and a very strong choice for the DFS showdown slate against a Chiefs secondary that has allowed 20 passing touchdowns this season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
CeeDee LambDALJarren WilliamsNYG

He has quickly become an elite fantasy wide receiver and has become the go-to receiver for the Cowboys with 23 targets and 14 catches in the last two weeks. The Giants secondary is falling apart and between Covid and just not being very good to begin with. You likely hadn't heard of their slot corner to start the season, but they are really picking guys up off the scrap heap now. Dallas spreads the targets out some with all three of their top receivers healthy, but Lamb is the guy that you want. Fire him up in all fantasy formats and enjoy the ride on Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Chris GodwinTBP.J. WilliamsNO

People in dynasty leagues want no part of Antonio Brown EVER coming back to this team as Godwin has just been a man possessed since Brown was hurt. He had ten catches for 105 yards in Week 14 and now has back to back games with double digit catches and over 100 yareds. In fact, he now has four 100 yards games in the last seven. In that stretch was the first game against New Orleans where he had eight catches for 140 yards and a touchdown, and I don't see any reason why he won't be a stud again this week. Tom Brady is basically throwing it to three people now in Godwin, Mike Evans, and Rob Gronkowski. They shouldn't have too much trouble moving the ball against the Saints in Tampa and I expect Godwin to top 15 fantasy points in PPR leagues with a chance of getting over 20. He is a great option in all fantasy games this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Hunter RenfrowLVM.J. StewartCLE

He has been the only beneficiary of Darren Waller's injury as Renfrow has posted three straight 100 yard games. He really exploded last week with 13 catches on 14 targets. Even if Waller returns this week, there is no chance that he is 100 percent, and Renfrow has become the go-to option in this offense with 33 targets in the last three weeks. The Browns are decimated by the Covid list and their usual slot corner is among those not able to play this week. Renfrow will continue his domination and should absolutely be in all of your fantasy lineups for Week 15.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jerry JeudyDENMike HiltonCIN

Jaylen Waddle was here (or wuz here if you had a yearbook back in the 90s) but alas the Covid got him as well. It hasn't been a good run for the Broncos passing game lately, but Jeudy does have six targets in each of the last two weeks and has converted nine of those to catches. He still hasn't scored this year, but the Bengals are the fourth worst secondary by yards allowed per game through the air and the fourth best run defense so hopefully the Broncos will be forced to throw and not just hand it to Gordon and Javonte. Jeudy is clearly the number one target when they do throw and while he isn't a great DFS option given how conservative the Denver passing game is you can feel comfortable with him in your season long leagues and hope for 10-12 fantasy points in PPR leagues.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Allen LazardGBTavon YoungBAL

It feels a little like chasing last week's points, but the slot isn't so hot with Covid and all right now. Plus, Lazard does have five or more targets in five of the last seven games he has played. His six catches for 75 yards and a touchdown last week was by far his best game of the season and he gets a great matchup this week against the Ravens who allow the second most yards per game through the air and 21 passing touchdowns on the season. Young allowed a touchdown last week and six of the last eight targets at him to be caught. I don't have supreme confidence in Lazard and I will admit he was added here after Jarvis Landry was on the Covid list, but the Packers are hot and the Ravens pass D has been crap all year.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Amon-Ra St. BrownDETByron MurphyARZ

I always say that even on terrible teams someone has to score fantasy points, and the Lions were testing that theory for most of the season. But this rookie has taken control of the passing game has he has 18 catches on 24 targets for 159 yards and a touchdown in the last two weeks combined. It certainly helps when the team is losing the entire game and everything that resembles a NFL running back is hurt. The Lions are going to have to throw a ton and all of a sudden Goff and St. Brown have formed a nice chemistry. I think he is a greaet start in season long leagues and even though Murphy has a quarterback rating against of just 63.4 I still like St. Brown as a dart throw in DFS contests as well considering the volume that he has been getting lately.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Russell GageATLK'Wuan WilliamsSF

The Falcons offense has been pretty dreadful all year long, but Gage now has three straight games with over 60 yards after his four catch effort against the Panthers. The Niners just gave up 55 yards to Tyler Boyd and he is the third most targeted receiver on the team. Gage is the top wideout on the Falcons and has 25 targets in the last three weeks combined. Williams allows just 8.1 yards per catch, but he does allow 81 percent of passes his way to be caught. The offense still revolves around Cordarrelle Patterson first, but Kyle Pitts clearly hasn't come close to living up to expectations and Gage is just as likely to have a big game if someone on the Falcons will do well through the air.

Finally, my favorite DFS options at different salary levels

Elite

Cooper Kupp vs Ugo Amadi

No Odell Beckham only adds to the number of targets that Kupp might see and he is on a record breaking pace already. He had a big game against Seattle earlier in the season, and that was with Robert Woods still in the picture. I mean do I really have to convince you that hard to use the season’s top fantasy wide receiver against the secondary that gives up the most yards? For any sake Davis Mills threw for 331 yards against them!!! Kupp should have an absolute field day! Davante Adams is also super chalky and definitely a solid alternative against a Ravens secondary that wasn’t good before Marlon Humphrey was lost for the year.

CeeDee Lamb vs Jarren Williams

He has had double digit targets in each of the last two games and seven or more six of the last seven. The Giants secondary is absolute garbage and was just lit up in a major way by Justin Herbert last week. Jerry Jones might say that Dak Prescott is slumping, but the Giants defense has certainly been a slump buster for opposing offenses. Lamb had four catches for 82 yards and a touchdown against the Giants the first time, but that was when he was lining up on the outside when Michael Gallup was out. Lamb has attracted more attention and has a lot of success out of the slot. Williams has only played two weeks because of injury and comes from the college football powerhouse University at Albany in New York. It might be where I graduated college from, but I sure wouldn’t put a lot of stock in his ability ty stop one of the best receivers in football. Give me the Lamb in Week 15.

Affordable

Brandin Cooks vs. Tyson Campbell

He might not be the most consistent quarterback, but Davis Mills sure does take more shots down the field than TyRod Taylor ever would, and he’s better at it too. Cooks had a big day last week and now there are reports that the Texans could consider not drafting a quarterback if Mills plays well. He gets a great matchup against a Jaguars team that couldn’t be going in the wrong direction faster. Since that game they held down the Bills, Houston has allowed 20+ points in five straight and just fired their head coach (in case you live under a rock). The Jags could find some inspiration being away from Urban Meyer but their defense still isn’t very good and Cooks has a shot at another 100-yard game on Sunday.

Christian Kirk vs. Dean Marlowe

It was close between he and Van Jefferson here, but I already listed Kupp, so let’s not do two Rams, but if you don’t use Kupp I also like Jefferson as a mid-range option. DeAndre Hopkins is done for the season as is Jerry Jacobs who was the Lions best corner this season. Both of those factors add up to more potential for Kirk who is the most reliable receiver that the team has left. You could argue for A.J. Green, but he is such a boring plodder, while Kirk offers some down the field excitement. The Lions have allowed 22 pass touchdowns this season and Kyler Murray is back to being himself again. The Cardinals will likely let off the gas in the fourth quarter on offense, but before they do that look for Kirk to have a great game.

Bargain Bin

Gabriel Davis vs. C.J. Henderson

Emmanuel Sanders being out is just the nudge that Davis needed to be a reliable DFS target. He has scored in back-to-back weeks, and he had eight targets last week when Sanders left the game early. Cole Beasley has been very sporadic, and I see Davis to be the main beneficiary of Sanders absence. Josh Allen is a little dinged up, but that could mean he runs a little less and throws a little more than he would have normally. The Panthers will likely throw Stephon Gilmore over on Stefon Diggs most of the time, and that should also help Davis get more attention on the other side of the field. Henderson has also been a big disappointment since Carolina made the trade for him. Davis has a great rapport with Josh Allen around the end zone and I definitely see him giving you a great return on his very affordable salary in Week 15.
