Without further ado, let’s dive into the Week 16 DFS WR Coach, exclusively at Fantasy Alarm!

NFL DFS Week 16 WR Coach for Fanduel & DraftKings Fantasy

Despite a pretty full main slate of 11 games, we don’t have the likes of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Puka Nacua, and A.J. Brown available to us! However, there are plenty of options to choose from, and while reading this week’s DFS WR Coach, you may see some notable names missing that you might expect to see. Rashee Rice against Tennessee? I’m still determining if that’s a route to go this week. Drake London? If he practices and is going to play, he’s one billion percent being added, so we’ll keep an eye on the Atlanta injury report. Be sure to keep an eye on this closer to kickoff for key updates at the wide receiver spot! After sifting through the data and crunching the numbers, I’ve identified my favorite plays at the position this week, and there should be a receiver or two at every price point to give you plenty of options when building your NFL DFS lineups this week, headlined by Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Week 16

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $8,400 | FanDuel: $9,200

The Steelers have backed off man coverage in recent weeks, and that is probably the right call. They are also playing more two-high safety looks, likely in an effort to minimize big plays. Regardless of what they do, St. Brown is destroying opposing defenses. If they try to play more man coverage, they don’t have anyone to slow down St. Brown, and the star wideout has 0.45 targets per route run and 2.36 yards per route run against man coverage over the last six weeks, per FantasyPoints Data. Furthermore, if they continue to lean into more zone coverage, St. Brown has posted 2.98 yards per route run against zone during the aforementioned span. Jameson Williams is a fine play, too, as he has an insane 5.10 yards per route run against man coverage over the last six weeks, per FantasyPoints Data, but again, Pittsburgh has backed off man coverage usage (37.2% in Weeks 1-9, 26.7% in Weeks 10-15).

Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $8,600 | FanDuel: $9,500

Since Burrow returned as the starting quarterback back in Week 13, Chase is the WR13 in fantasy points per game, and WR2 in expected fantasy points per game, per FantasyPoints Data. He’s primarily playing out wide the last three weeks (77.6% of his routes), and he has a healthy 30.6% target share, 2.29 yards per route run, and 40% first read rate, per FantasyPoints Data. The Bengals have a high implied team total, so for them to get to 25+ points, one would figure Chase plays a big part in that.

Nico Collins, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $7,500 | FanDuel: $8,500

While the volume hasn’t been there for Collins in recent weeks, he’s put up 75 or more yards in six of his last seven, and he’s averaging 25.3 yards per reception over the last three weeks! Collins has posted 2.75 yards per route run against zone coverage over the last six weeks, but his excellence against Cover 3 is what matters in this matchup against the Raiders. No team plays more Cover 3 in the NFL than the Raiders, and check out these numbers for Collins against Cover 3 in 2025, per FantasyPoints Data: 12.6 average depth of target (aDOT), 41% of the team’s air yards, 26.8% target share, 3.05 yards per route run, 16.6 yards per reception.

Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,700

I would be looking at Devaughn Vele, but his shoulder injury, which is “week-to-week,” seems likely to keep him out. Since Tyler Shough took over the starting job in Week 9, Vele has handled 15.3% of the targets, so those will be vacated. Olave already has a 23.3% target share and 43.8% of the team’s air yards over the last six weeks, so Olave could see even more work! He’s posted 2.04 yards per route run in these six Tyler Shough starts, and the team is moving him around to get him in good spots. With potentially no Vele stealing targets, Olave could see 10+ targets for the first time since Week 12.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 16

Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $7,200

If Marvin Harrison misses this game, Wilson becomes an elite play. If Harrison Jr. does return to action, Wilson is a very, very good play. The Falcons have struggled with receivers of late, allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to the position! Atlanta plays single-high safety looks at a top-three rate in the NFL, and over the last six weeks, Wilson leads the Cardinals in targets per route run (0.34), yards per route run (2.72), and fantasy points per route run (0.53) against single-high safety looks, per FantasyPoints Data! Great spot for Wilson here, as Arizona will remain pass-happy, and the game total in seven of nine Brissett starts has surpassed 50 points.

DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers - DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $7,400

This one is tricky. On one hand, Metcalf went for 148 yards two weeks ago, and this past week, he went for 55 yards and a score. Detroit has been beaten up by wideouts in recent weeks, allowing the most fantasy points per game, receptions, and yards to wide receivers. Additionally, he’s been very, very good against single-high safety looks, posting 2.49 yards per route run and 0.30 targets per route run on the season, per FantasyPoints Data. On the other hand, Metcalf only has one game with more than five receptions this season, and Aaron Rodgers gets so many pass-catchers involved. Additionally, his touchdown in Week 15 was his first receiving touchdown since Week 8 (he did have a rushing score in Week 12).

Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $7,000

Dallas has had no answer for slot receivers of late, as they have allowed the most fantasy points per game to slot receivers over the last six weeks, per FantasyPoints Data. Overall, the Cowboys have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts over the last four weeks, and the Chargers will need to score in this one. The total at the time of writing is 49.5, so points will be scored in this one. McConkey has been quiet of late, but the matchup out of the slot is too good to ignore.

Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants - DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $6,000

When taking on the Vikings, you want a receiver who is reliable against zone coverage and productive against two-high safety looks. Well, here’s your guy from the Giants. Over the last four weeks, Robinson has posted 3.06 yards per route run against zone coverage and 2.11 yards per route run against two-high safety looks, per FantasyPoints Data. He’s seen at least eight targets in six straight games. Minnesota hasn’t been overly generous to wideouts over the last couple of weeks, but Robinson is the steady presence in the New York passing attack, and he projected well against Minnesota’s scheme.

NFL Week 16 DFS WR Value Picks

Troy Franklin, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $5,200 | FanDuel: $6,000

It’s tough to run on Jacksonville, which leads teams to want to throw it a bit more against them. That’s corroborated by the Jaguars’ defense having the second-highest pass rate over expectation against in 2025, per FantasyPoints Data. They will play a lot of zone defense, and over Franklin’s last five games, he’s posted 2.23 yards per route run and 0.25 targets per route run against zone coverage, per FantasyPoints Data. Also, do with this what you will, but five of six Franklin’s touchdowns on the year have come at home, and his 59.4 yards per game at home nearly doubles his mark on the road (30.0).

Adonai Mitchell, New York Jets - DraftKings: $4,500 | FanDuel: $5,800

Quarterback issues aside, Mitchell continues to produce. Since coming to the Jets, despite catching just 18 of 40 targets, he’s averaging eight targets per game and over 13 yards per reception! Furthermore, in five games with his new team, he holds a commanding 0.32 targets per route run against single-high safety looks, and his big play ability can shine against these looks. Well, this week’s opponent, the New Orleans Saints, plays a ton of single-high safety looks, so I’d expect Mitchell to be busy in this one. Mitchell will get loose for a 30+ yard gain at some point in this one, and we hope that it goes for six.

Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers - DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $5,900

I will admit, I do like this spot for Tetairoa McMillan to come back to life after some quiet games in recent weeks, especially with Tampa Bay allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to perimeter receivers over the last six weeks. However, Jacob Parrish, the team’s primary slot corner, has allowed a 94.1% catch rate over the last four weeks to go with 1.85 yards per coverage snap and a 111.0 passer rating when targeted, per Pro Football Focus. Coker has 60+ yards and a score in back-to-back games, and Coker has a healthy 2.08 yards per route run against single-high safety looks over the last five weeks, per FantasyPoints Data. That’s notable because over the last six weeks, the Bucs have been playing single-high looks at the seventh-highest rate and allowing the third-most fantasy points per dropback in single-high, per FantasyPoints Data.

Jalen Nailor, Minnesota Vikings - DraftKings: $3,500 | FanDuel: $5,100

It might not be overly impressive at times, but considering the price points, Nailor is a better DFS value (and play overall) than Justin Jefferson. Nailor found the end zone twice last week, and he’s recorded at least three receptions and 30 yards in back-to-back games. The allure with Nailor this week is that he primarily runs out of the slot, and the Giants have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers over the last six weeks, and the fifth-most for the season overall, per FantasyPoints Data. There’s certainly some risk here, given the inconsistency from J.J. McCarthy, but the matchup is intriguing enough to give Nailor some looks as a value receiver.

NFL DFS WR Fade for Week 16

George Pickens - DraftKings: $7,300 | FanDuel: $8,800

The Chargers are a brutal matchup for wide receivers, especially those on the perimeter. From Weeks 10-15, they have allowed the fifth-fewest yards per target and 11th-fewest fantasy points per game to perimeter receivers. Overall against wide receivers in the aforementioned span, they’ve allowed the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game, and just two touchdowns! While CeeDee Lamb has posted three straight games of 100+ yards, George Pickens has back-to-back games of fewer than 40 receiving yards. Despite a tough matchup, you can still trust CeeDee Lamb, but Pickens? Not as much.

NFL Week 16 WR Play of The Week

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $8,200

In Evans’ first game back, despite a snap count of sorts, he handled a 29.4% target share, 48.4% of the team’s air yards, and posted 5.08 yards per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. There is no question as to who is the alpha in this passing attack when Evans is healthy and on the field. Carolina has played a lot of single-high safety looks over the last month, and while he doesn't have a big sample size this year, he posted 3.20 yards per route run against single-high safety looks in 2024, per FantasyPoints Data. Expect Baker Mayfield to look Evans’ way early and often in this one, and for what it’s worth, he totaled 215 yards and three touchdowns on 16 receptions in two games against Carolina last year. Oh, he also needs to average 243 yards per game to extend his streak of seasons with 1,000+ yards. He’s significantly underpriced on DraftKings.
