NFL DFS Week 13 WR Coach for Fanduel & DraftKings Fantasy

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, foods, and winning lineups!

After sifting through the data and crunching the numbers, I’ve identified my favorite plays at the position this week, and there should be a receiver or two at every price point to give you plenty of options when building your NFL DFS lineups this week, headlined by Jaylen Waddle of the Miami Dolphins.

NFL Week 13 Wide Receivers

Quick notes on the slate:

This is a living, breathing resource, and it will be updated as the week goes on, based on injury news, practice reports, etc. By Sunday, you may see some players removed who were earlier featured, or perhaps some players added as we approach Sunday kickoff.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Week 13

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks - DraftKings: $9,500 | FanDuel: $10,000

Rinse and repeat here with JSN. He’s really good at football and Minnesota has allowed the most yards per route run to perimeter pass-catchers this season, per FantasyPoints Data. You don’t need more reasons to start JSN, or pay for him in DFS, but the Vikings run two-high safeties at the highest rate in the league, and Smith-Njigba has 0.42 targets per route run, 5.23 yards per route run, and 0.92 fantasy points per route run against two-high safeties this season, per FantasyPoints Data.

Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $7,500 | FanDuel: $8,200

In four games since the team’s bye, Adams has outscored Puka Nacua in three of those games, although they are within one fantasy points of one another during that span. Adams has six touchdowns over his last four games, and his nine red zone targets over the last four weeks lead all WRs in the NFL. Carolina’s top corner, Jaycee Horn, left Monday’s game with a concussion, so it’s highly unlikely he plays, so that benefits Adams, who almost exclusively lines up on the perimeter. Lastly, Carolina plays a ton of zone coverage, and while Adams isn’t quite as strong as Nacua in this department, he still has a healthy 0.26 targets per route run, and 2.38 yards per route run against zone coverage in 2025, per FantasyPoints Data. On DraftKings, the $1,500 savings from Nacua is massive.

Nico Collins, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $6,700 | FanDuel: $8,100

There’s a chance the Colts could have Sauce Gardner travel with Nico Collins, but in Week 12, Gardner lined up 100% on the right side. Collins moves all around the formation, but an interesting development of late is that the team is getting him into the slot a bit more. Per Pro Football Focus, he logged just one game (Week 2) with a 20+ percent snap share prior to the team’s Week 6 bye. Since the bye, he’s been in the slot over 20% of the time in all five games he’s played! This matters because Kenny Moore is more vulnerable in coverage than Gardner and Charvarius Ward, and the Colts have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers this year, per FantasyPoints Data.

Lastly, I’ll leave you with this. If you like historical numbers, you get it with Collins:

Jayden Higgins is also a really good value on DraftKings, if you want to pivot off Collins.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 13

Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $5,900 | FanDuel: $7,100

UPDATE: It's looking more and more like Marvin Harrison will return, so while Wilson is still intriguing, he's probably less of a consideration in cash games at this point.

We may need to reconsider Wilson if Marvin Harrison Jr. returns this week, but if not, keep riding the hot hand! Wilson’s price jumped over $1,000 on DraftKings compared to last week, but over the last two weeks, he’s caught 25 of 33 targets for 303 yards! For the season, the Bucs have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to perimeter receivers, but over the last four weeks, no team has allowed more than the Bucs, per FantasyPoints Data. We ideally want Baker Mayfield under center for the Bucs so this game stays interesting, but Arizona has been the most pass-happy team in the league over the last four weeks, coming in at a 9.9% pass rate over expectation, per FantasyPoints Data.

Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers - DraftKings: $5,000 | FanDuel: $6,900

I am intrigued by Lad McConkey in this matchup as well, but no team plays more zone than the Raiders, and Keenan Allen leads the Chargers with 0.28 targets per route run against zone coverage this year, per FantasyPoints Data. Furthermore, the Raiders play a ton of Cover 3 in particular, and Allen’s 0.80 fantasy points per route run against Cover 3 trails only Puka Nacua (0.94), and Drake London (0.83), per FantasyPoints Data. You want perimeter receivers against the Raiders, and Allen lined up out wide on 60% of his routes in the two games prior to the bye.

Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills - DraftKings: $5,500 | FanDuel: $6,300

The only Buffalo wide receiver you can trust in DFS right now is Khalil Shakir. The Steelers have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers this season, and Shakir projects well against Pittsburgh’s defense that plays a ton of single-high safety looks. He has a strong 2.48 yards per route run against single-high safeties, per FantasyPoints Data, and overall across the last two weeks, he’s posted 2.02 yards per route run and a 21.1% first read rate, per FantasyPoints Data. If Aaron Rodgers suits up, this game has sneaky shootout potential with two competent offenses and two leaky defenses.

NFL Week 13 DFS WR Value Picks

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars - DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $5,800

UPDATE: Brian Thomas is expected to play, but he should mostly play on the perimeter, and not impact Washington all that much, aside from stealing a few targets.

Brian Thomas returning could potentially sap some excitement here, but if Thomas were to miss another game, it’s wheels up for Washington. Jakobi Meyers has primarily been playing on the perimeter since joining the Jags, with Washington nearly splitting 50/50 between the slot and perimeter. The Titans have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers this season, but the second-most over the last four weeks, per FantasyPoints Data. Overall, they are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position, and Washington has found the end zone in two of his last three, with 7+ targets in four of the last five.

John Metchie, New York Jets - DraftKings: $3,800 | FanDuel: $5,700

I’m intrigued to see whether the Jets put Metchie back in the slot, or let him play more on the perimeter like he did in Week 12. Per Pro Football Focus, after taking 58.3% of his snaps from the slot in Week 11, 65.6% of his snaps came out wide in Week 12. Over the last four weeks, the Falcons have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to perimeter wide receivers, and Metchie has proven to be the most consistent target for Tyrod Taylor. Furthermore, Metchie’s 4.0 yards per target over expectation the last two weeks is fourth-best in the NFL amongst wide receivers with at least 50 routes run, per FantasyPoints Data. The ceiling may be limited, given the offense, but this seems like a good spot for Metchie, but I don’t love the price point on FanDuel.

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $4,200 | FanDuel: $5,500

If you want a boom-or-bust option, it feels like Alec Pierce will get behind the Houston defense for a long gain. We’ve seen a few times that guys are running free behind the Houston secondary, but the opposition hasn’t connected yet. However, the middle of the field is where Houston feels most vulnerable. Over the last four weeks, they’ve allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers, and the fourth-fewest to perimeter wideouts. Downs is the team’s slot receiver, and he’s tied with Michael Pittman in targets per route run (0.23) against zone coverage, per FantasyPoints Data Suite. Again, Pierce might get the big play, but I could see Downs catching four or five balls for 50+ yards in this one. For what it’s worth, the last time Downs faced Houston (Week 8, 2024) he caught four balls for 109 yards and a score.

NFL DFS WR Fade for Week 13

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings - DraftKings: $7,100 | FanDuel: $8,300

UPDATE: Max Brosmer is getting the start for the Vikings, and while there is some interest behind the “backup just peppers the WR1” theory, I'm still not buying into Jefferson in DFS this week.

It’s a bit of low hanging fruit, but I just cannot pay for Jefferson in DFS with the QB uncertainty. J.J. McCarthy is in concussion protocol, so if he cannot go, Max Brosmer will start. Brosmer and all eight of his career pass attempts! Seattle can create a lot of pressure and cause havoc for opposing QBs, so much as I like Kevin O’Connell and his ability to put his quarterback in friendly situations, this is just a brutal matchup. Other receivers with higher floors and more upside at a similar (or lesser) price will keep me off Jefferson in Week 13.

NFL Week 13 WR Play of The Week

Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $6,800 | FanDuel: $7,000

Since Tyreek Hill went down in Week 4, Waddle has been great. Across those seven games, he’s handled 53.9% of the team’s air yards, a 23.6% target share, and 3.16 yards per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. Furthermore, he’s set to destroy New Orleans’ single-high safety looks, as he’s posted 0.33 targets per route run and 3.65 yards per route run against single-high safeties since Hill went down, per FantasyPoints Data. He primarily lines up out wide, and the Saints have allowed the second-most fantasy points to perimeter receivers over the last four weeks (three games).
