I'm not sure what's more amazing right now – that we're already at NFL Week 10 or just how strong the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily's DFS game has been this season. You know the old saying, “you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink?” Well, the team has led you to water with the DFS Playbook, coaching articles and all the other content, but you my friends are drinking it up at an alarming rate, pardon the pun. You all have been doing an outstanding job. The winning DFS lineups you've built, the money you've earned and the thought-provoking questions you've asked have all shown me just how much you all are absorbing. Congratulations. Sincerely. This season has been tremendously fun for me and for the rest of the team. So I have no additional words of wisdom for you here. Let's just continue with the process and let's keep winning together.
Another big DFS week for the #FAmily and with that brings a new wave of new subscribers, so as always, I would like to welcome all of you. I love seeing all the new screen names in Discord and seeing all of these new sign-ups for the All-Pro package makes me very happy, so before we fully dive in to the NFL DFS Week 8 Watch List, please allow me to welcome all of the new members of the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily. There are a lot of you and we thank you for joining. Now it's up to us to help you cash consistently on your NFL DFS action and we are psyched to make that happen. Since you are new to the Watch List, allow me to share some thoughts real quick:
“If you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.”
We take this adage to heart when it comes to playing NFL DFS. The Fantasy Alarm Playbook isn’t just about handing you a list of players and a lineup to use each week. It is designed to help you learn to be a better DFS player. It’s about teaching you the process used in selecting which players to scout and, eventually, which ones to use.
Therefore, we will begin each week with the Weekly NFL DFS Watch List which is designed to keep tabs on marquee names, chalk plays and, of course, the weekly bargains who may not see the same coverage and exposure. This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, based on the most recent news and injuries, which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to Sunday kick-off. You may also see a few late-week additions who pique our interest for some reason too, and by the end of the week, this Watch List will eventually become your Playbook. Again, it’s about teaching you the process.
So what exactly did last week's Playbook deliver? As always, we like to check in to ensure we remain on the right path.
Scoring The Playbook Week 9
This is like the second or third-straight week where the dual-tight end lineup has been where it's at. I'm not saying it's the right way to go to win, but don't be afraid to use the strategy and save yourself some salary. Now, salary wasn't really the issue this week as C.J. Stroud went off and we had a few pay-down who really hit the mark this week. But for future sake, when building your GPP lineups, remember that it's okay to leave some salary on the table. One of the biggest misconceptions is that you have to get as close to your budget-limit as possible. I'm not saying you routinely leave $1,000 on the table, but when building those tournament lineups, don't feel like you have to jam in higher-salaried players to make it all work. Play the players you like and see what happens with the remaining salary from there. If you really like a lineup based on all your research and you leave some salary on the table, it's okay to do that. We'll eyeball that even further once we get to the Playbook this Saturday.
