Fantasy Football Streamers & Stashes For Week 4 Of The 2025 NFL Season
As always, we have our main NFL Week 4 fantasy football waiver wire article that covers every position at the surface level. But Fantasy Alarm members often play in deep leagues that require additional levels of research and nuance. That’s where this article comes in. We take things a step further to look at those deep fantasy football streamers you might need to keep your team afloat. And we also look at the top fantasy football stashes who might not be able to help us right now but could contribute to a championship down the road!
Fantasy Football Streamers For 2025 NFL Week 4
What is a Streamer?
A streamer is a player that you can currently start in your lineup. They might not be the flashiest players, but they won’t get you a zero. In deeper leagues with a lot of starting spots, you may need to call on them from time to time - especially when bye weeks and injuries come around.
What is a Stash?
The stashes are players who have appealing upside for one reason or another, but aren’t reliable enough to start now. Maybe they are injured, and you can put them in an IR spot. Maybe they are handcuffs that could have a big upside if the starter gets hurt. Maybe they are rookies who need time to develop and carve out a role. Whatever it is, we want to keep an eye on them. And stash them on deep benches.
Week 4 QB Streamers To Target
Geno Smith, QB, Las Vegas Raiders
Yahoo: 29% | ESPN: 10% | Sleeper: 23%
There are no obvious long-term adds this week at QB, so our two options from the main article are our focus for this week on the waiver wire. Geno Smith against the Bears is our top option, but Matthew Stafford against the Colts is our next choice.
Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams
Yahoo: 31% | ESPN: 37% | Sleeper: 31%
As with Geno Smith, check the main article for the write-up on Matthew Stafford - he’s mainly just a desperation streamer if needed.
- Honorable Mention or Deep League Options: Sam Darnold, Bryce Young, Aaron Rodgers, Carson Wentz, Jake Browning
Best Week 4 Running Back Streamers
Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Yahoo: 32% | ESPN: 32% | Sleeper: 42%
The top waiver adds from the main article, Trey Benson and Woody Mark, are the priorities for us, even for streaming. But Kareem Hunt is widely available, and he actually split the backfield pretty evenly this week with Isiah Pacheco. In fact, they both got the same number of carries, but Hunt got the touchdown. The Baltimore Ravens are a tough matchup, but also one that has shootout potential.
Chris Rodriguez, RB, Washington Commanders
Yahoo: 5% | ESPN: 2% | Sleeper: 10%
Everyone expected Jacory Croskey-Merrit, aka Bill, to start for the Washington Commanders following the Austin Ekeler injury. But he didn’t - Chris Rodriguez did. Then Croskey-Merritt rotated in, and Jeremy McNichols got the pass-work. He gets the benefit of being the “starter” as of right now, which comes with some guaranteed touches. And you never know, maybe he could run away with this job if he plays well.
Ollie Gordon, RB, Miami Dolphins
Yahoo: 20% | ESPN: 23% | Sleeper: 34%
Ollie Gordon was a pretty highly touted prospect early in his college career. But some off-field issues, plus a down senior year, had him slide in the draft. Right now, he’s easily the biggest/strongest back in a backfield full of speedsters and which saw him get 9 carries plus the touchdown this week. He’s probably not going to light it up in full PPR leagues, but he could continue to get some carries and give you some TD vulture upside.
Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Yahoo: 38% | ESPN: 38% | Sleeper: 44%
Typically, Tyler Allgeier is on our streaming radar. Last week was a fairly rare super negative gamescript that saw Bijan Robinson get more of the work in panic, pass-only comeback mode. But Allgeier is often a guy that gets 5-10 carries, plus he has that handcuff upside too, so not a terrible play.
- Honorable Mentions: Miles Sanders, Kendre Miller
Top WR Streamers For Week 4
Jalen Tolbert, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Yahoo: 0% | ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 2%
There’s usually a reason guys land in the streamer section rather than full waiver adds. And it’s often because they only have short-term appeal. With CeeDee Lamb set to miss a couple of weeks with a high ankle sprain, Tolbert should fill in with a big snap share on the outside. He did get six targets this week after Lamb left the game, though he didn’t produce much on them.
Adonai Mitchell, WR, Indianapolis Colts
Yahoo: 1% | ESPN: 2% | Sleeper: 5%
There are a bunch of decent streamer options this week. And this one comes with a contingency, just like Tolbert. When Alec Pierce or Michael Pittman are out, Adonai Mitchell usually plays a full-time snap share - we saw it twice last year. Alec Pierce is currently in concussion protocol. If he’s out, Mitchell is a streamer and DFS play. If Pierce clears, we don’t use Mitchell.
Kendrick Bourne, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Yahoo: 0% | ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 2%
This is another one contingent on injury. If Jauan Jennings is out again, we roll with Kendrick Bourne, who picked up a big snap share and has had some decent targets the last couple of weeks. If Jennings is playing, he’s far less appealing.
Calvin Austin, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Yahoo: 17% | ESPN: 11% | Sleeper: 45%
This play should be there for you regardless of injury, so you don’t need to bank on someone being out. Calvin Austin is quietly playing 87% of the snaps and running 86% of the routes for the Steelers. He might be undersized, but he has blazing 4.32 speed, so he could rip off a big TD at any point. We like the other plays better if conditions line up, but Austin should be available week to week for a stream or DFS dart.
- Honorable Mentions: Romeo Doubs, Cedric Tillman, Tyquan Thornton, Joshua Palmer, Tre Tucker
NFL Week 4 Tight End Streamers
Chig Okonkwo, TE, Tennessee Titans
Yahoo: 31% | ESPN: 15% | Sleeper: 30%
As we mentioned in the main article, Chig continues to be a viable streamer in all formats. He has a decent floor in terms of targets and has the speed to create upside, which makes him a textbook streamer. Now we just hope that Cam Ward can put together a decent game.
Brenton Strange, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars
Yahoo: 25% | ESPN: 21% | Sleeper: 30%
Another textbook streaming option. Sure, his role isn’t perfect. He primarily plays in-line tight end rather than big slot. And they hypothetically have two WRs that deserve more targets in Brian Thomas Jr and Travis Hunter. But BTJ has not been playing well, and Hunter has not been playing a full snap share. Throw a potential Dyami Brown injury on there, and you could do worse than Brenton Strange.
- Honorable Mentions: Jonnu Smith, Cade Otton, Theo Johnson
Fantasy Football Stashes To Consider For 2025
Jaxson Dart, QB, New York Giants
Yahoo: 5% | ESPN: 4% | Sleeper: 12%
Jaxason Dart continues to remain our top stash of guys who aren’t playing right now for obvious reasons. Those last four downs in the red zone for Russell Wilson are enough to drive everyone around the organization crazy. Dart is starting to feel more like a when than an if.
Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings
Yahoo: 6% | ESPN: 3% | Sleeper: 9%
Of the teams that are starting a backup quarterback, Carson Wentz seems like the one who is close enough to actually keeping the job. He’s manning the ship of a playoff team that saw Sam Darnold get MVP votes last year. He looked solid this week - he’ll get Jordan Addison back this week and is expected to get Aaron Jones back in the future as well, if he holds onto the gig.
DJ Giddens, RB, Indianapolis Colts
Yahoo: 4% | ESPN: 3% | Sleeper: 12%
Our top stash from this past week, Woody Marks, graduated to the main article. DJ Giddens has been a mainstay here, given the insane workload that Jonathan Taylor gets. Giddens doesn’t have much standalone value, but these guys often make for the best pure handcuffs as they could take over the full role if something happens.
Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Yahoo: 18% | ESPN: 12% | Sleeper: 28%
Same thought process for Giddens that has not changed for us in this section of the article. If Kyren Williams goes down, Blake Corum could inherit a monster workload. So we stash.
Arian Smith, WR, New York Jets
Yahoo: 0% | ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 0%
The door is wide open for the WR2 chair in New York after Garrett Wilson. And none of the tight ends have stepped up. It could just be Josh Reynolds’s job when he gets back. But Arian Smith got a chance this past week and caught both of his targets (albeit for 2 yards). Maybe he will get a couple more looks this week? Worth a deep league stash.
Tory Horton, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Yahoo: 3% | ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 8%
Klint Kubiak’s offense is not a good setup for the WR3. They use the fullback and a bunch of tight ends. But Horton has flashed every chance he’s gotten, including running back a punt this week. If anything were to happen to Jaxon Smith-Njigba or Cooper Kupp, he would likely inherit a full-time role. And then he’d have a big upside. So it’s hard to trust him right now, but we are watching.
Jalen Coker, WR, Carolina Panthers
Yahoo: 8% | ESPN: 8% | Sleeper: 13%
No one has really been able to emerge as the WR2 behind Tetairoa McMillan. Xavier Legette has looked terrible, and he’s banged up. David Moore got elevated to Legette’s role, but he’s just a guy. Hunter Renfrow and Brycen Tremayne have rotated at the slot. Even tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders is set to miss time. Just like Christian Kirk did for us in previous versions of this article, Jalen Coker could show up and run away with the WR2 job by default.
Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens
Yahoo: 16% | ESPN: 12% | Sleeper: 26%
Mark Andrews showed up this week and balled out. But, as we’ve seen with David Njoku and Harold Fannin, some offenses are designed to have two tight ends involved. Plus, Likely has the handcuff upside of an injury to Andrews. That’s the kind of guy we like to stash.
Darren Waller, TE, Miami Dolphins
Yahoo: 5% | ESPN: 11% | Sleeper: 9%
Waller is set to be active this week, but only for a limited snap share. So he’s still just a stash even if he plays. It’s a long shot, but hear me out. Jonnu Smith was fantasy relevant in this scheme, running 70% of his routes from a WR spot. Just a year ago, Darren Waller was on a 100+ target, nearly 800-yard pace. And Tyreek Hill is under investigation. Crazier things have happened.
