Welcome to Week 13 of the NFL season and the next edition DFS RB Coach! This was easily my worst week of the season, unfortunately. Derrick Henry (20.6 points) was a good call, but outside of that we didn’t hit on much. Rachaad White (13.0) and Devin Singletary (13.2) did fine at cost (albeit not exciting), but Travis Etienne (12.6) and Jaylen Warren (7.2) stunk up the joint. That’s how it goes sometimes though. Enough about last week, let’s look to bounce back and crush it in Week 13. It’s time to start putting those DraftKings and FanDuel lineups together and hit the big paydays! Let’s dive into my favorite RB plays!

Year to date RB Coach stats:

Week 13 Picks

NFL DFS RB Top Plays

Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams

Williams made his return to action in Week 12 and the Rams wasted no time giving him a hefty workload as he rushed 16 times for 143 yards and caught 6 passes for 61 yards and two scores to finish with 41.4 dk points. It was his fourth game this year with at least 24.8 points, which is super impressive and shows how big of a ceiling he has. The Browns rank as a mid-tier matchup and I like it even more with their current QB situation; it should lead to shorter drives and quicker punts by the Browns lousy offense. He is a focal point of the offense and gets the goal line work, so there really any lack to his game for DFS purposes.

NFL DFS RB Mid-Tier Plays

Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are FINALLY unleashing Bijan and giving him a big workload. He has at least 19 touches in back to back games and that has led to him scoring 17.6 and 27.3 dk points over the last two games. He has totaled over 100 yards in both and scored three times in that span. He should be able to carry that momentum into this great matchup with the Jets, who rank as a top-5 matchup for running backs this season. He should be able to do damage both on the ground and through the air and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him go north of 20 points scored for a second straight week.

Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

White had another strong game last week, scoring 16 points on DK as he rushed for 100 yards on 15 carries while also hauling in two passes for 10 yards. His touchdown streak ended at three straight games, but let’s look for him to get back celebrating this week. He also had one of his lowest receiving totals in a while, but I could see that going back up this week as well. Regardless, he has scored at least 15.9 points in SIX STRAIGHT weeks and is essentially the same player as Alvin Kamara right now, but at $1,900 cheaper.  The Panthers rank as a top-3 matchup for running backs this season, so I am expecting another great game from White in this one.

NFL DFS RB Value Plays

Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers

Warren severely let me down last week and it make me a little worried about going back to him, but he is still cheap and this is a great spot. The Cardinals rank as the second best matchup for running backs this season and the Steelers have shown on a weekly basis that they are a run-first team and will feed both backs. You can also consider going with Najee Harris at a slightly cheap price, but I do like the fact that Warren is more involved in the passing game, which gives him both more upside and a better floor. Harris is more dependent on touchdowns, but Warren is just as likely to score a touchdown as Harris is. The split work does hurt their upside a bit, but it also is keeping them both very cheap.

Zack Moss, Indianapolis Colts

Moss chalk week is here (Jonathan Taylor is out for multiple weeks with thumb surgery). Moss may end up being the highest rostered player on the slate and I wouldn’t blame anyone for doing it. He is incredibly cheap and that makes him a total free square play. When he was the Colts starting RB at the start of the year he scored 20.7, 25.5, 9.0, and 36.5 DK points across those four games. How does an average of 23 points per game sound? Pretty good right? How does it sound at just a $4,600 price tag? Amazing. This matchup with the Titans is a fine one as well, so all signs just point to Moss being a no-brainer play on this slate.

NFL DFS RB Fades

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints

I am going right back to Kamara here. I just think he is overpriced for what we are getting and he has a tough matchup. There just hasn’t been any explosion with Kamara this season and while his PPG remains strong, he isn’t having any spike weeks to help you win tournaments. His floor has been good, but we need more than just a high floor when we are making our picks and Kamara hasn’t scored 20 points in a game in nearly a month now. The other two backs at this price range (CMC and Ekeler) both offer bigger upside, though I am probably not playing any of them this week based on recent performances and/or matchups.
