NFL Week 2 kicks off with a Thursday matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs. This is a big time AFC West matchup and there should be plenty of points scored. There is no better time than now to dive into some NFL player props and while other sites have their own version of pick'em games No House Advantage is where you want to be thanks in part to their unique  GPP Pick'em contest where you pick your favorite player props and rank them with confidence points and those points will determine where you finish in the Pick'em contest standings!

Thursday night No House Advantage has a $20-entry Pick'em contest with a $20,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool where $10,000 goes to first place!

For this contest you select over or under for seven different player props with point values ranging from 1-to-7 points based on your confidence in the prop that you select. As your props are correct you accumulate the corresponding points to that play.

Thursday's TNF Week 2 Showdown Contest Selections

Travis Kelce Over 6.5 Receptions

Kelce dominated his Week 1 matchup against a Cardinals defense that was the top team against opposing tight ends last season, finishing with eight caches for 121 yards and a touchdown. In two games against the Chargers last season Kelce was unstoppable, finishing with 17 catches on 24 targets for 295 yards and two touchdowns. Even with Derwin James back healthy for the Chargers, this feels like a number too low know that Mahomes and Kelce have such a great connection.

Patrick Mahomes Over 2.5 Passing Touchdowns

This game has a 53.5 game total with just a 4.5-point spread. With that many points being scored you can bet your bottom dollar that Mahomes is going to figure into the scoring and in Week 1 he threw five touchdown passes.  In both games against the Chargers last season Mahomes went over this touchdown total and I see that continuing here in Week 2 as well.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Over 4.5 Receptions

JuJu had a  great Chiefs debut in Week 1, finishing with six receptions for 79 yards. He was the second leading target getter behind Travis Kelce and that is exactly what we expected from JuJu heading into this season. The Chargers have a pretty good tight end cover man in Derwin James which could force Mahomes to look Smith-Schuster's way a bit more if Kelce isn't able to get as open as he did in Week 1. I like the over here in what should be a very pass happy matchup against the Chargers.

Austin Ekeler Over 39.5 Receiving Yards

No Keenan Allen for this game against the Chiefs which has me leaning on the over here for Ekeler's receiving yards.  Already a big part of the passing offense, Ekeler can run some of the similar underneath routes that Allen runs when split out wide and he is very capable of getting open in the flat and beating the linebacker coverage. After a disappointing Week 1 against the Raiders, I fully expect Ekeler to get going here in Week 2.

Justin Herbert Over 2.5 Passing Touchdowns

The Chargers offense goes  as Herbert goes. In Week 1 Herbert threw three touchdown passes in the team's win over the Raiders and he did it without throwing a touchdown to any of his top targets. Given the high game total and expected back and forth nature of this matchup I would expect Herbert to be throwing a ton here once again and especially when they get in the red zone area.

Mike Williams Over 64.5 Receiving Yards

This one should feel safer than I have it ranked but I was worried by the disappearing act from Williams in Week 1 in a game where top receiver Keenan Allen left with an injury. If Williams is playing at the level he is capable of then this yardage total could be eclipsed by half-time but Williams has shown inconsistency throughout his career. I'm willing to bet on the talent here and take the over.

Mecole Hardman Under 40.5 Receiving Yards

So, I know this one is a bit of a risk because Hardman is very capable of hitting this over on a single play but the Chiefs receiver in third in the pecking order of snap share, behind JuJu and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He played just over 50% of the offensive snaps in Week 1 and finished with only three receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown. I've long held the belief that rookie Skyy Moore will eventually overtake Hardman on the depth chart and after the rookie only played 19% of the offensive snaps in Week 1, there is chance that total gets increased in Week 2 as he continues to get acclimated to the NFL game.
