In this 2025 fantasy basketball mock draft, I navigated an 18-round points league draft from the 6th overall pick, strategically building a championship-caliber roster. Anchored by stars Anthony Edwards, James Harden, and Kevin Durant, my team is designed for elite production and robust frontcourt depth, positioning it for a top-3 finish.  With mid and late-round selections like Derrick White, Trey Murphy, Michael Porter, Ty Jerome, Kel'el Ware, and Donovan Clingan, I’ve added breakout potential to dominate the 2025 fantasy basketball mock draft and chase the title.

Draft Strategy for the 2025 Fantasy Basketball Season

I kicked off this 2025 fantasy basketball mock draft with Anthony Edwards at 6th overall, banking on his scoring and playmaking to dominate. In Round 2, James Harden at 15th was a perfect fit for his assists and steals. Kevin Durant at 26th in Round 3 locked in my core, leveraging his efficiency in Houston. These three form a high-octane foundation that crushes points, assists, and rebounds.

In the middle rounds of this 2025 fantasy basketball mock draft, I chased breakout value. Derrick White (35th) is a gem with Jayson Tatum’s injury and Boston’s roster reset boosting his usage (18+ PPG, 5+ assists, 3+ threes). Trey Murphy (46th) could be New Orleans’ top scorer (23+ PPG, 4+ threes), and Michael Porter (66th) is set to shine as Brooklyn’s primary wing (22+ PPG, 8+ rebounds). Jalen Duren (55th) anchors my center spot with double-doubles, and Bennedict Mathurin (75th) adds scoring pop.

The late rounds of this 2025 fantasy basketball mock draft were about upside and depth. Donovan Clingan (86th) is a high-efficiency starter in Portland (double-doubles, 1.8+ blocks at 22-25 MPG). Kel’el Ware (106th) could start or play mid-to-high 20s minutes in Miami’s frontcourt. Ty Jerome (146th) is my sleeper, after a breakout in Cleveland, he’s poised for a sixth-man role in Memphis (25+ MPG, 15+ PPG, 4+ assists) post-Desmond Bane’s trade and with the Grizzlies’ injury history. Santi Aldama (115th), Nikola Jovic (135th), and Jaime Jaquez. (175th) add versatile bench stats, while Kelly Oubre (126th), Aaron Nesmith (166th), and Neemias Queta (155th) bring hustle. I beat ADP on 11 picks, especially White, Murphy, Porter, Jerome, Ware, and Clingan, gaining ~120 slots of value.

My guards, Edwards, Harden, White, Mathurin, and Jerome, deliver elite points (65+), assists (22+), and steals (5+). White’s 3+ threes and 1.1 blocks in a bigger role, plus Jerome’s sixth-man minutes, make my backcourt lethal. My forwards, Durant, Murphy, Porter, Anunoby, Oubre, Jovic, Nesmith, and Jaquez, provide unmatched depth, projecting 30+ rebounds, 12+ threes, and 2.5+ steals. Murphy and Porter’s expanded roles are game-changers. My centers, Duren, Clingan, Ware, and Queta, add 6+ blocks and 40+ rebounds. Clingan’s efficiency and Ware’s starting potential make my big rotation elite; 8 F/C-eligible players ensure flexibility. I’m aiming for a top-2 seed with a high weekly ceiling, driven by my stars and breakouts.

Best Sleepers and Late-Round Steals in 2025 Mock Drafts

  • Derrick White (BOS): Tatum’s injury and Boston’s roster shakeup boost White to 18+ PPG, 5+ assists, 3+ threes, and 2+ stocks, making him a top-20 value.
  • Trey Murphy (NOP): As New Orleans’ potential leading scorer, Murphy’s 23+ PPG and 4+ threes deliver massive returns for a 5th-round pick.
  • Michael Porter (BKN): Brooklyn’s rebuild makes Porter the top wing (22+ PPG, 8+ rebounds, 2+ threes), exceeding his 7th-round cost.
  • Ty Jerome (MEM): Post-Bane trade and Memphis’ injury woes give Jerome a sixth-man role (25+ MPG, 15+ PPG, 4+ assists), a steal at 146th.
  • Kel'el Ware (MIA): Miami’s frontcourt needs could see Ware start or play 25+ MPG, delivering 12+ points, 8+ rebounds, and 1.5+ blocks.
  • Donovan Clingan (POR): At 22-25 MPG as Portland’s starter, Clingan’s double-doubles and 1.8+ blocks make him a high-efficiency gem.
