We have an eight-game MLB DFS main slate on Monday, April 10th, and some team’s rotations have reset to their aces and some still are near the bottom, which means there are both elite arms such as Max Scherzer and Luis Castillo, and elite bats like Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado in Coors Field to spend up on. That means we’re going to have to search for some value options so we can spend up some of the big names. Let’s dive into some of my top value plays of the day.

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Bryce Elder, Atlanta Braves (DraftKings: $6,900, FanDuel: $8,300)

Here’s your chalk SP2 of the day and maybe someone people gravitate to on FanDuel as well. The Reds are not at home, which benefits pitchers obviously. Against right-handed pitching this year, Cincy has a 25% K-rate and are 24th in OPS away from Great American Ballpark. Elder looked fantastic in his debut throwing six scoreless innings along with six strikeouts against the Cardinals.

Jose Suarez, Los Angeles Angels (DraftKings:$6,900, FanDuel: $6,800)

On the MLB DFS Podcast Jon Impemba and I recorded, we figured the most popular cheap arms of the slate would be Bryce Elder and Zac Gallen, the latter specific on DraftKings, and Suarez could come in low-owned. After opening at -205, Suarez and the Angels have ballooned to -250 or better across every sportsbook. The biggest favorite of the day. Suarez could be a solid pivot off of Bryce Elder and Gallen who everyone is going to play.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Brandon Drury, Los Angeles Angels (DraftKings: $3,600, FanDuel: $2,600)

With Patrick Corbin taking the hill on Monday night, all Angels hitters are on the table here, especially Brandon Drury who destroyed left-handed pitching a year ago. Drury had a .626 SLG%, .955 OPS, .327 ISO, and .403 wOBA against southpaws last year. Patrick Corbin is dreadful and has been hit hard against right-handed pitching, allowing 24 homers and a .320/.373/.526 slash as well. Drury is so cheap across the industry and is one of the top values of the day.

Jordan Walker, St. Louis Cardinals (DraftKings: $3,000, FanDuel: $3,300)

The fact that Jordan Walker is cheaper on DraftKings than FanDuel is crazy. Walker heads into Coors Field raking, hitting .353 with two home runs, two doubles, and eight runs batted in. Walker and the Cardinals face off against German Marquez here and last year he pitched to a 6.70 ERA and allowed a .317/.359/.563 slash at home. Walker is going to be popular, so this isn’t any sort of groundbreaking play, but Walker is great chalk.

Corey Seager, Texas Rangers (FanDuel: $3,000)

This is a FanDuel-specific play because Seager’s price point has dropped to a price point that is criminally low. Seager’s expected numbers suggest he’s in for some positive regression sooner rather than later. He’s hitting .273 with xBA of .297, he has a .364 SLG% but his expected mark is .475. The complete opposite can be said for Zack Greinke who has a 2.31 ERA, has an expected 5.31 xERA.
