Happy Saturday! Over on Underdog Fantasy, there are plenty of MLB player props to look at when entering some Pick’em contests this afternoon. If you’re going to be making some MLB DFS lineups, why not take a look at some of their player props to double dip on their success today? Of course, much like daily fantasy baseball, you need to make sure the “price” is right. My top MLB picks and player props over on Underdog Fantasy this afternoon feature Kansas City Royals starter Daniel Lynch, Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, and New York Mets right-hander Tylor Megill. Don't forget to check out the latest MLB weather report and the confirmed MLB lineups when placing those MLB betting picks, and our MLB daily projections and MLB Batter vs Pitcher page will help uncover the best matchups for MLB player props and MLB DFS lineups. Without further ado, let's dive into the top MLB player picks on Underdog Fantasy for Saturday, June 3rd.

Daniel Lynch, Kansas City Royals - OVER 5 Strikeouts

Lynch fanned six batters in his first start of the year, which came against a Washington team that has been very, very solid against left-handed pitchers this season. He generated 14 whiffs in that first start, 11 of which came from his slider and changeup. Overall in 2023, the Rockies have the fifth-highest strikeout rate (25.5%) and worst wRC+ (65), but it gets worse when they are on the road and facing a lefty, as those numbers fall to 27.4 percent and 64 respectively. I really would have liked to get this at 4.5, but an even five will do.

Alex Bregman, Houston Astros - OVER 0.5 Singles

The BvP fanatics will love that Bregman is 5-for-11 in his career against Sandoval, and while Bregman hasn’t been his usual self against southpaws this season, he’s riding a nine-game hit streak where 11 of his 14 hits have been singles. His .186 average against lefties this season is weighed down by a slow start, but over the last two weeks, he’s hit lefties at a .273 clip. His batted ball profile remains a bit underwhelming, but a .433 BABIP during this hit streak will do, and we are just looking for a single, which is something he’s done in eight of his last nine, and in nine of his last 11 home contests.

Tylor Megill, New York Mets - UNDER 4 Strikeouts

When you look at his numbers, you may be surprised to see us taking an under with Megill in his home park, given that his 3.29 ERA is leaps and bounds better than his 6.08 ERA on the road. However, when pitching at home, the strikeouts have been absent, as seen by his 16.5 percent strikeout rate and 5.93 K/9 at home this season. Megill has more than four strikeouts in only two starts this season, and now he walks into an absolute buzzsaw of a matchup. Over the last two weeks, the Blue Jays have the second-lowest strikeout rate against RHP’s, not to mention the league’s best batting average, OBP, SLG, OPS, wOBA, and wRC+.
