Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers & Streaming Starters - 4/25
Week 6 delivers an even dozen Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers that will be providing two starts, if all plays out as anticipated. Realize that weather, injury, and other factors are known to interfere with a fantasy manager’s expectations concerning the development of their rotation’s scoring period action. If circumstances present obstacles to well-laid plans, the need to adapt, improvise and overcome the vagaries of fortune often can be ameliorated by prudent use of Fantasy Baseball 2026 Streaming Starters arms to bolster the week’s pitching efforts, and for that assistance, there exists the second half of these articles. Naturally, you might also want to consider one or more of the residents in the middle tier, while avoiding those who land in the bottom group.
Please realize that these articles feature the most recent rotation information available at the time they are written, but circumstances can change due to weather conditions, injuries, and general craziness with managers. If a pitcher listed here as having two starts ends up with one (or perhaps none) in the upcoming week, apologies, but this article is meant to provide analysis; it is up to the manager to set the lineups or rotations.
Without further ado, here are this week’s two start pitchers:

Bubic, the 28-year-old southpaw, has tossed three quality starts (QS) among his five starts thus far into the 2026 season. It is those other two outings where he struggled that tarnishes his ERA currently not entirely unattractive at 4.028 through his 28.2 IP this year. His WHIP sits at an extremely useful 1.12, and he has been racking up a strikeout per inning. One of his starts was on the road where he allowed the host Tigers to cross the plate five times, but his results on the road over the past couple of seasons were superior, so two road starts in Week 6 are not any reason to avoid using him in your rotation for either of his scheduled times to climb the hill.
Chandler notched his first win of the year, together with his first QS in three hitting the visiting Rays, allowing just one tally during his 6.0 IP stint on the hill. He only collected three Ks, but showed good control for the second outing in a row, much improved over his wild ways during his first pair of starts where he allowed a whopping 10 free passes. If he continues to show control of the plate, that will enable him to maintain his WHIP reduction tendencies. He has a pair of home starts on tap, but note that both opponents have been successful when visiting other parks in the early going.
Lopez should be well rested, having lasted just one inning in his most recent time toeing the rubber. This is potentially just an aberration, as his prior four starts had seen him limit opponents to just five earned runs over those 20.2 IP for a 2.18 ERA and 1.11 WHIP, while also racking up 19 Ks. Getting the Tigers at home projects well as their dominance is generally at Comerica and not on the road, although any trip to Coors Field can have negative results, where he will take the ball in his second Week 6 outing.
Matz was also chased early in his most recent start, lasting just 3.0 IP while coughing up four earned tallies to the visiting Cincinnati squad, including three dingers. Prior to that stumble, though, he had been useful as a SP for fantasy baseball purposes, going 2-0 in three contests, amassing 19 K over those 16.1 IP where he posted superior ratios: 2.76 ERA, 0.92 WHIP. The most promising of his two starts this coming scoring period would seem to be the second trip to the mound at home against the Giants Sunday afternoon.
Boyd was limited to just under five frames in his return to action following his stint on the IL due to a biceps injury. The southpaw should step up his participation going forward, and his ability to miss bats and control the strike zone (22:3 K/BB through 14.0 IP) should help him again provide superior fantasy pitching results for his owners.
Sugano came within one out of collecting his third QS this season in his most recent time atop the hill in Denver against the visiting Padres, and has limited opponents to just a single run in three of his five starts, including his recent home victory over the Padres. He is flashing some useful ratios acquired over his five starts: 3.42 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, accompanied by fine control if only limited K production.

As is the usual case, there are nearly as many residents in the bottom tier as in the two groups above them. You may consider using one or more of these SPs as streamers, but beware, as the counting stats they might deliver are many times outweighed by the damage their efforts will do to your ratios, all without the presentation of a victory and perhaps the offense of a loss or two.
Potential Streaming Options for Week 6
There is no promise that each game day will provide a streaming option. First of all, the pitcher must be available in at least 50% of leagues to be a viable candidate to snag off the wire. Then, the pitchers discussed above are not included as they have a different sort of value, even though some might be available as free agents in your league. Plus, some days the matchups and/or venues just do not figure as positive enough factors to favor plugging the arm into your rotation, even for one start. That all being said, here are this week’s best Fantasy Baseball 2026 Streaming Starters candidates:
Tuesday, April 28, 2026
Nick Martinez, Tampa Bay Rays @ Cleveland Guardians
The veteran righthander snagged his third QS of the season against the visiting Reds, his former team, going 8.0 IP and collecting six Ks. He now sports a decidedly useful 2.10 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over his 30.0 IP in 2026. He has yet to allow an opposing offense to record more than two earned runs in any of his five trips to toe the rubber
Davis Martin, Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels
The righty has gone 7.0 IP in each of his last two outings, part of his three consecutive QS streak. He is demonstrating excellent control but below-average strikeout production (2.2 BB/9, 6.8 K/9 through his 25.0 IP). The next opponent will test his ability to keep runners from crossing the plate when the Angels come to the Windy City’s South Side for a series.
Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Yusei Kikuchi, Los Angeles Angels @ Chicago White Sox
The veteran southpaw was brilliant in his most recent trip to the hill, racking up eight Ks over a 6.0 IP no-decision at home against the visiting Padre team. He has a good matchup here, facing a Pale Hose offense that has been struggling to post victories, especially at home in Rate Field.
Peter Lambert, Houston Astros @ Baltimore Orioles
The fifth-year righty struck out eight opposing hitters for his second consecutive start, achieving much better results on the road against the Guardians than in his first outing this season. He has been pressed into duty as a back-end rotation piece due to numerous injuries that the Astros’ pitching staff has suffered early on in 2026. Given the Oriole hitters’ free-swinging ways, he has a chance to deliver some additional K production if you were to pick him up for a streaming start.
Thursday, April 30, 2026
Bailey Ober, Minnesota Twins vs. Toronto Blue Jays
The 30-year-old righthander struck out 10 Reds while only allowing the visiting Cincinnati team to notch a single unearned run over the 6.1 IP he tossed in his most recent stint toeing the rubber at Target Field It is unlikely his swing-and-miss skills will be as evident against the Toronto bats, as the Blue Jays have the least Ks of all MLB teams as of this writing, but his peripheral metrics suggest he may be in line for useful results were you to trust him for a start or two in the near future, such as Week 6.
Friday, May 1, 2026
German Marquez, San Diego Padres vs. Chicago White Sox
It has been provident for the veteran righthander to escape Colorado and head to the sunny southern California environs, as he has been steadily working to improve his ratios from the ugly state those stats were in after his first outing at the end of March. He now possesses a 3.86 ERA through 18.2 IP this year, and while his WHIP is still inflated 1.39, but a distinct improvement over 3.00 on March 31st), it too is seeking respectable levels. This projects as a great matchup to continue to improve his fantasy and real baseball statistics.
Walbert Urena, Los Angeles Angels vs. New York Mets
The 22-year-old returned from his time at Triple-A where he was being stretched out to step into a starter’s role, and he was semi-successful in his first time opening the game on the mound, taking a loss while twirling a QS. He collected eight strikeouts, while allowing just four hits and a pair of free passes against the visiting Padres offense. Getting a home start against an opponent who has been struggling on the road could be advantageous for the young righty.
Colin Rea, Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
The veteran righthander is working on a three-game win streak, the last two efforts which have been QS endeavors on the bump. His home/road splits over the past two-years plus indicate that a home game against the Diamondbacks plays to his strengths. He offers below-average strikeout potential, but helps himself with his good control: 7.5 K/9, 1.9 BB/9 over 24.0 IP in 2026.
Saturday, May 2, 2026
Foster Griffin, Washington Nationals vs. Milwaukee Brewers
The rookie (by definition of innings pitched at the major league level) finally pitched through the sixth inning, and was rewarded with both a victory and a QS in his fifth start this season. He carries a fantasy friendly 3.38 ERA and 1.20 WHIP into Week 6, and has only allowed 8 hitters to reach base via a free pass. He did get touched for a pair of round trippers in his last outing, but the Brewers are not known for their long-ball production heading into the end of April.
Keider Montero, Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers
Kumar Rocker, Texas Rangers vs. Detroit Tigers
This contest features a pair of hurlers that both offer some value as Fantasy Baseball Streamers. The Detroit righty looks to be set in the Tiger rotation, with Justin Verlander still dealing with a sore hip, and he came within an out of netting his second QS against the visiting Brewers, and despite pitching well, also was saddled with a loss. He has demonstrated excellent control with a 1.2 BB/9 rate over his 22.0 IP. His peripheral metrics suggest that his success thus far in the season is not a fluke.
On the other side of the field, the Texas third-year right-hander not only picked up a QS but also was the victor at home against the visiting Pirate squad. He brings a 3.48 ERA into Week 6, but has a slightly inflated WHIP due to some problematic control (3.48 BB/9) and the propensity to hand out nearly a hit per frame when he is on the bump: 19 hits in 20.2 IP. As with his mound opponent profiled immediately above, his peripherals are indicative of his ability to continue to pitch effectively going forward.
JT Ginn, Athletics vs. Cleveland Guardians
Since joining the Athletics rotation, Ginn has accumulated some useful ratios, to wit: 3.07 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 14.2 IP. He has also collected 13 Ks over that three-game stretch, although his control could use some work, as the eight walks in his six appearances are not ideal and could be dangerous if he wants to continue his time in the starting staff for the A’s. Getting the Guardians away from Progressive Field makes for a better matchup.
