Welcome to the second day of the postseason! We have another 4 games today with a potential of all 4 wild card series being over today or another 4-game set of win-or-go-home games tomorrow. It is another 3:08 PM EST start time for this 4-game slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Yesterday, we had two road teams win and two home teams, and I am sure we are in for some tense battles today! We had plenty of great performances yesterday between Royce Lewis, Corbin Carroll, Jordan Montgomery, Zach Wheeler, and more. We will see if some of those who delivered can continue their strong start and if we get some new heroes today. Make sure to check out all of our amazing MLB DFS tools, as they are always worth going through before building your lineups, as are the Vegas Odds, but let’s dive into your best tool, which is today’s MLB DFS playbook to help build some winning lineups today!

MLB Weather Updates

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Minnesota Twins: Some rain this morning, but should be cleared up before game time.

Recommended DFS Starting Pitchers

Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Phillies

Aaron Nola might not have had the best season with a 4.46 ERA, but I do still think he is much better than that ERA shows and still has ace-level stuff. He ended the season strong, striking out 8 in each of his last two starts against the Atlanta Braves and Pittsburg Pirates while only giving up 3 runs through 12.2 innings. He gets the easiest offense of all the pitchers today, and I think that he will deliver and get Philly through to the NLDS today.

Zach Eflin, Tampa Bay Rays

Zach Eflin had an amazing season. He posted a career-best ERA and WHIP at 3.50 and 1.02, along with throwing 177.2 innings, which was also the most in a season in his career, while still striking out well over a batter an inning. While the Tampa Bay Rays offense will need to show up today to keep them alive, I believe Eflin will give them a great shot at a win today and should be able to stifle this strong Texas Rangers offense.

Sneaky cheap pick: Jose Berrios

Recommended DFS Hitters

Favorite Infielders

Royce Lewis, Minnesota Twins

Royce Lewis single-handedly beat the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday, hitting homers in each of his first two postseason plate appearances and driving in all 3 runs in their 3-1 victory. This production isn’t new, as Royce Lewis has been one of the Twins’ best hitters all season when he is healthy. I think Royce Lewis could be a household name after the postseason is all said and done, and I expect him to continue to deliver today.

Willy Adames, Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers lost a tough battle yesterday despite piling up 12 hits. Willy Adames himself put up 3 hits, including a double. While they have an even tougher matchup today, having to face Zac Gallen, I think Willy Adames will continue to put some hits up to give the Brewers a chance to stay alive and push this series to tomorrow.

Honorable mention: Ketel Marte, Christian Walker, Trea Turner

Favorite Outfielders

Corbin Carroll, Arizona Diamondbacks

Corbin Carroll is clearly ready for the big stage. After an incredible rookie campaign, he hasn’t slowed down a bit, going 2 for 3 yesterday with a homer and two walks. He is the Diamondbacks star already and is going to be a big part of their postseason if they can continue to win games.

Randy Arozarena, Tampa Bay Rays

Despite the Tampa Bay Rays offensive woes yesterday, Randy still put up two hits, including a double. I am never going to bet against Randy on the big stage as he always seems to deliver, and I expect with their backs against the wall he can provide some offense for them today. The question is if anyone else will add to it as well.

Honorable mention: George Springer, Josh Lowe, Nick Castellanos
