Let’s start the week on the right foot with some winning lineups today. We have a 12-game main slate in store for us this evening on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:05 PM ET. Today, we have plenty of talent on the diamond and many different ways to build your lineup. Our expert analysis is here to guide you through the top pitchers, value plays, and stackable offenses to target.

Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!

This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.

The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.

The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.

The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

MLB DFS Picks & MLB Playbook

MLB Weather: Tuesday, 6/24

New York Yankees @ Cincinnati Reds

It's hot and there's some rain in the forecast that could cause a little issue, but likely clears out before first pitch.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Kansas City Royals

There's a chance of a delay, but a small chance at that.

Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis Cardinals

There's a chance at a storm that could cause an issue, but it's seemingly going to stay away.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Chicago White Sox

If any game were to have a delay, this one is the most likely. Nothing that's going to be too long or scary, however.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers

Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Garrett Crochet, Boston Red Sox

The league leader in strikeouts against the team who strikes out the most. Seems like a match made in heaven. We don't need to talk about this too much, but playing Crochet could very well take you away from using some Dodgers who are in Coors Field.

Carlos Rodon, New York Yankees

This is a good matchup in a terrible ballpark. Rodon isn't afraid to allow a home run either, which isn't the best in 90 degree weather. Now, with that being said, Rodon is one of better strikeout arms in the league. This is the Reds worse split, too, posting the eighth-lowest OPS in the league against lefties.

Freddy Peralta, Milwaukee Brewers

This matchup is elite. All we need, Freddy, is pitching deep into the game. Do you have that in your bag? Please. We beg of you. Pittsburgh is 29th in wOBA and OPS and 30th in ISO against right-handed pitching. The strikeouts are down a bit this year but he still has a K/9 over 9 and his ERA is down to 2.76. Peralta is going to be popular today.

Kris Bubic, Kansas City Royals

Although Kris Bubic has hit a little skid in his past two starts, he's in a great spot here and is an alternate to Freddy Peralta. The Rays have been a subpar offense against southpaws this year and have struck out 23.2% of the time against them. Bubic has the fourth-highest K-rate, third-highest SwStr%, and second in ERA on the slate.

Chase Burns, Cincinnati Reds

Happy Chase Burns day to all that celebrate. The league's top pitching prospect is making his major league debut and has dominated at every minor league level he's pitched at this year. He was the number two overall pick in last years draft and has sped through the minors with two plus-pitches that will play that way at the major league level. Over the last month, the Yankees have a 23.6% K-rate against righties and although they are powerful, they have a lot of strikeouts in their lineup.

Ryne Nelson, Arizona Diamondbacks

Ryne Nelson has been a solid surface level starter since moving back into the rotation. He also has some ugly under-the-hood stuff, so that's something to monitor. His 15% K-rate as an SP isn't great and neither is the 4.77 xFIP. He's allowed a 37.9% hard-hit rate as a starter, too.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Expensive A$$ Dodgers in Coors. How Many Dodgers are Possible?

The Dodgers head to Coors Field to start a series and SEVEN players on their offense are at least 5K, Shohei Ohtani is $7,200 and Freddie Freeman is $6,200.

The Dodgers square up with German Marquez and righties are hitting .331 against him while lefties are ONLY hitting .301. Key word only. You just have to ask yourself how many Dodgers do you want and can you get them depending on who you're spending on. It's obviously an elite spot and they'll be popular.

Ohtani, Freeman, Teoscar Hernandez, Max Muncy, Andy Pages, Will Smith, Tommy Edman, Michael Conforto, Mookie Betts. Play any and all of them if you can.

Welcome Back Frankie Montas! Have you Met Ronald Acuna? + Braves

We haven't seen Frankie Montas at the major league level this year but we have seen him on his rehab assignment and guys, it's been really, really bad.

  • LHH: .488/.538/1.140 slash, 6 HR, 3 K
  • RHH: .225/.311/.450 slash, 2 HR, 9 K

That puts Matt Olson up there as one of the best plays of the day if lefties are going to dominate Montas the way they did at the MiLB level. Ronald Acuna has also been one of the league's best players since coming back from injury and has a .337 ISO, .381 xISO, .550 wOBA, and 8 HR vs. RHP this year. Rounding out your stacks with Austin Riley and Marcell Ozuna are optimal, but if Ozzie Albies, Drake Baldwin and Michael Harris crack the lineup, they look great too.

Cardinals HR Upside

Hand up, I think Jameson Taillon is a good pitcher, but he has a home run problem. He's allowed the third most home runs in the league as he sits at 18 in 15 starts.

  • RHH: .260 ISO, .227 xISO, 2.4 HR/9, 4.64 xFIP, 49.2% FB
  • LHH: .188 ISO, .200 xISO, 1.5 HR/9

We'll start with the righties here;

Now, the lefties;

Diamondbacks Offensive Explosion

Update - Mike Vasil could be the long-man for the White Sox, not Tyler Alexander. There's nothing for certain, but rumblings around the industry have Vasil listed instead. If it is Vasil, Pavin Smith would firmly be in play here.

What makes this a perfect match is that Jordan Leasure, opener for the White Sox, is a reverse splits pitcher, which means right-handed bats are what gives him trouble. Following Leasure is going to be Tyler Alexander, who pitches from the left side and struggles with righty bats. That bodes extremely well for the Diamondbacks offense here.

Leasure vs. RHH - .527 SLG%, .380 wOBA, .257 ISO, 4.27 xFIP, 39.6% FB

Alexander vs. RHH - .306 AVG, .338 wOBA, .173 xISO, 4.89 xFIP, 38.4% FB

Ketel Marte, Lourdes Gurriel, Geraldo Perdomo, Randal Grichuk, and Ildemaro Vargas profile best for Arizona.

Red Sox

The Red Sox are interesting as large-field targets specifically. Some of the options we want to target have legit pinch-hit risk. There top two rated hitters against lefties are Rob Refsynder and Romy Gonzalez. Both guys have at least a 1.000 OPS, but both might not play a full game.

Rounding out a Red Sox stack would include Carlos Narvaez, Ceddanne Rafaela and Trevor Story. Those are the Red Sox best five against lefties this year. At least from the right side.

If you believe Tyler Anderson's poor reverse splits, Roman Anthony is a guy who could take him a deep.

Heliot Ramos, Willy Adames & Casey Schmitt + a Rafael Devers Sprinkle

Righties have absolutely demolished Cal Quantrill this year and things don't look better on the horizon.

Right-handers have a .375/.407/.654, .451 wOBA, 2.05 HR/9, 4.99 xFIP, .279 ISO, .251 xISO, and 41% HH against him. Lefties, by the way, has a .182 xISO and .337 xwOBA against him, which is where the sprinkle of Rafael Devers comes in.

The trio of righties we're looking at for the Giants is Heliot Ramos, Willy Adames, and Casey Schmitt.

  • Ramos: .834 OPS, .369 wOBA, .177 ISO, .217 xISO
  • Adames: .159 ISO, .204 xISO, .321 wOBA, .343 xwOBA
  • Schmitt: 1.013 OPS, .440 wOBA, .269 ISO
