Â
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will include a pitcher and hitter core players section with in-depth written analysis, a player pool grid, and a core stacks section to maximize your MLB DFS picks strategy.
The core player segment is the backbone of your MLB DFS picks, offering the central players you can use to construct lineups around. You will not always use every core player in a single lineup, but these are essential building blocks for your MLB DFS picks on a nightly basis.
The player pool grid consists of players from the core section along with other alternatives to finalize your MLB DFS picks roster. The grid is also sectioned into high-priced players, mid-priced players, and value-tier players to enable you to build a well-rounded roster for your MLB DFS picks.
The stacks portion of this article will focus on our top lineup stacks of the day, addressing which players to use in terms of matchups and salary to maximize your MLB DFS picks output.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Zack Wheeler, Philadelphia Phillies
While you can always play Paul Skenes and today is probably a day he might pick up a win with Zac Gallen going for the Diamondbacks it is also difficult to go against Zack Wheeler here today as he faces a Yankees team that is without Aaron Judge who was officially placed on the IL this morning.
Wheeler is a Cy Young contender in his own right and very capable of being the highest scoring pitcher on the slate today.
Noah Cameron, Kansas City Royals
We've been hot and cold with Cameron this season but if the strikeouts are going to be coming like they've been the last few starts then we have to be right back on the wagon.Â
We've already been routinely targeting left-handed pitchers against the Guardians and while they have been a bit better in that department recently, I'm willing to bet on Cameron here today at this mid-range price point.
Eury Perez, Miami Marlins
You can call me a sucker if you want but I just love the upside for Eury Perez. This kid is an absolute stud with tremendous swing and miss potential and after a slow start he has really turned it on of late. Yes, the Brewers can be a pretty tough lineup to face at times but I'm betting on the pure talent here today.
Walker Buehler, Boston Red Sox
Who doesn't love the revenge game narrative play? Believe it or not, Buehler has been pitching a better of late after working extensively with Red Sox pitching coach Andrew Bailey to make his delivery and arm slot more consistent. The team is also really working on Buehler's cutter to help him against left-handed hitters.Â
Yes, this is EXTREMELY risky but there isn't a ton of value worth looking at on today's slate.
Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Core MLB DFS Hitters
Minnesota Twins Lefties vs Jake Irvin
I was all in on  the Twins yesterday against Mitchell Parker and they let me down but that was yesterday's money. Today I'm going right back to the Twins here against Jake Irvin who has some really bad numbers against left-handed hitters and the numbers against righties aren't too good either. Yes, not having Byron Buxton is a bit of a blow but that just means you don't need to spend up for anyone in this lineup today which makes them a perfect pairing for your stacks.
Chicago Cubs - All of the Them
Grant Taylor is going to open for the White Sox today and he's actually a pretty good prospect for them. But after that it's looking like Sean Burke is going to pick it up and take the ball which will be good news for the Cubbies as Burke has started to fall off after his strong start to the season.
ONeil Cruz + Pittsburgh Pirates vs Zac Gallen
Oneil Cruz heard his name was possible in trade rumors and has decided to start looking like the menace we know he can be at the dish. Nick Gonzalez has shown flashes and so has Bryan Reynolds. We almost never tout a Pirates stack but against Zac Gallen here today I'm willing to go to it.
Tyler O'Neill + Baltimore Orioles vs Austin Gomber
Here is an interesting play because all season long we've actually hammered the Orioles when a lefty is on the mound because of how bad they have been against southpaws BUT Gomber is pretty bad and the Orioles offense is starting to come to life. Tyler O'Neill is pretty much free today and a core play in my lineups even as a one-off punt play.
