Happy Fathers Day and welcome to Fantasy Alarm’s MLB DFS Playbook for Sunday, June 15th, covering the DraftKings and FanDuel main slates!Â
Our team of experts has poured over the matchups, stats, and trends to bring you a curated selection of top plays and value picks to help you build winning lineups.Â
Whether you’re chasing big GPP prizes or looking to cash in head-to-heads, we’ve got you covered with insights designed to give you an edge. Let’s dive into today’s slate and get ready to crush it!
Â
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you our favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.
There will also be a daily MLB DFS Show with a variety of hosts ranging from myself, Jon Impemba, Howard Bender, and James Grande. The MLB DFS Show will give you an initial outlook on the day's MLB DFS slate and should give you a good base for the start of your research each day!Â
Make sure you subscribe to the Fantasy Alarm YouTube channel so you never miss a show! Also, join the Fantasy Alarm Discord to get your DFS lineup questions answered by our MLB DFS team! Fantasy Baseball Weather Report - June 15, 2025
- COL @ ATL: A shower or storm could pop up this afternoon, potentially causing a delay, low chance of a delay.
- MIA @ WAS:  A shower could pass over the park, but a delay isn’t likely at this time.
- LAA @ BAL: Low chance of a delay. Even if a shower hits, the game should likely continue without interruption.
- TOR @ PHI: Showers are possible, but delay unlikely.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
This is a very interesting slate with three elite pitchers in good matchups at the top of the card and any one of them are capable of being the top scoring pitcher. We also will have a chalk play with Grant Holmes taking on the Colorado Rockies and some interesting value plays with young pitchers taking the mound.
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Wheeler, Gore, Fried
Honestly, they are all in great spots here. Ownership right now is going to Max Fried and he's the Yankees best chance to avoid a sweep in Fenway Park. Wheeler may have the toughest matchup against the Blue Jays because they are a team that doesn't really strike out all that much. Gore settles nicely in the middle despite having elite strikeout upside. His offense is struggling and Eury Perez on the other side of the coin has shown flashes of being elite which could limit the win equity. That said, I wouldn't hesitate using any of them.
Grant Holmes, Atlanta Braves
Your highest rostered pitcher today and for obvious reasons as the Braves host the Colorado Rockies. Sure, we saw the Rockies put some runs on the board Friday against Bryce Elder but they got smoked by Spencer Strider on Saturday. Yes, I know Holmes isn't Spencer Strider but he's more than capable of shutting down this lineup.
Yusei Kikuchi, Los Angeles Angels
The cover of the playbook! Yes, maybe shocking to see Kikuchi here but the Orioles just continue to struggle against left-handed pitching, primarily due to the fact that their lineup is very left-hand heavy.Â
On the season the Orioles rank dead last in wOBA and ISO vs southpaws and 28th in batting average with a near 25% strikeout rate.
Kikuchi has been really good against lefty hitters this season, owning a near 27% strikeout rate while holding them to a .257 wOBA.
Eury Perez, Miami Marlins
The first couple innings of Perez's debut were great. He showed strikeout upside and velocity. Then the wheels fell off as he lost command against the bottom of the lineup and the top of the lineup made him pay.
First start jitters out of the way, this kid is still an elite talent, topping out as the #7 ranked prospect in all of baseball back in 2023 before needing Tommy John Surgery and he was really good in his rehab outings. I'm willing to keep going back to the well while the price tag is low because his upside is real.
Kumar Rocker, Texas Rangers
Another top prospect that is dominating at the minor league levels but hasn't put it together on a major league mound quite yet.
At Triple-A we saw Rocker with elite command and strikeout upside but when he gets on a major league mound he can't miss bats and can't find the plate. When he does find the plate the ball gets hit hard.
That said, he's making a start against a White Sox offense that may be better than it was but still isn't very good.
Maybe this is the start that sticks for Rocker.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
When it comes to the hitters on this slate there are some pretty clear stacks we can look to with some struggling pitchers taking the mound and some hitters in great spots for their respective splits.
Core MLB DFS Hitters
Atlanta Braves vs Austin Gomber
Gomber is making his season debut for the Rockies here today and with a lefty on the mound we know right away which Braves we are looking to build our lineups around with Ronald Acuna as the top spend up option and the likes of Ozzie Albies, Marcell Ozuna, Austin Riley and maybe even a dart throw on Eli White or Nate Allen as a value play if in the lineup.
New York Mets vs Shane Baz
Baz started the year looking like a breakout candidate but he's since fallen off hard and now draws a matchup against a very powerful New York Mets lineup. Right-handed power has done the damage against Baz this season which puts Pete Alonso firmly in our lineups but I'm not shying away from Lindor, Soto or Nimmo here either.
New York Yankees vs Brayan Bello
Lefty power gives Bello fits and we know the Yankees have plenty of that with Ben Rice, Jazz Chisholm, Cody Bellinger, Austin Wells and Trent Grisham. Not to mention they also have that Aaron Judge fella.
Houston Astros vs Simeon Woods Richardson
SWR has been good during at the minor league levels but has never found consistency on a major league mound.
The Astros offense is capable of hitting bad pitching and if you want to be contrarian today I don't mind using some of their value plays as a secondary stack.
