Let’s start the week on the right foot with some winning lineups today. We have an 14-game main slate in store for us this evening on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:10 PM ET.Â
Today, we have plenty of talent on the diamond and many different ways to build your lineup. Our expert analysis is here to guide you through the top pitchers, value plays, and stackable offenses to target.
Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Merrill Kelly, Arizona Diamondbacks
I know the last few starts for Kelly haven't been the best but the matchup against the Marlins is certainly an inviting one and one that I think we see him get back on track. He has win equity with the Diamondbacks favorites at home. Yes, the Marlins offense has actually looked better against right-handed pitching over the past month but Kelly is good at neutralizing left-handed hitters which is where the Marlins production is coming from.
Sonny Gray, St. Louis Cardinals
We chase strikeout upside and if you've paid attention to what we've said about Sonny Gray and his ability to have boom strikeout games this could be a spot as the Guardians offense is really slumping and will also be without Jose Ramirez for today's game after he was hit by a pitch yesterday.
Ryan Pepiot, Tampa Bay Rays
On the cover of the preview show as we discussed how dominant he's been of late, posting a .195 BAA over his last 10 games while striking out nearly a batter per inning. We also just saw Pepiot in this matchup against the Orioles two starts prior and he shut them down, striking out 11 over eight innings of one run baseball. He was the main return the Rays got in the Tyler Glasnow deal and he's starting to show why.
Jose Berrios, Toronto Blue Jays
This pick isn't just because Berrios has started to pitch well of late but also because of how bad the Red Sox offense has been since the trade of Rafael Devers. Now, yes, a move back to the friendly confines of Fenway Park usually cures the Red Sox offensive woes but Berrios could be in for a ceiling strikeout game given Boston's numbers against righties over the past month and add in the fact that the Red Sox won't have Marcelo Mayer in the lineup today only makes them that much easier of a matchup.
Will Warren, New York Yankees
Warren is the highest rostered pitcher on the slate. We've discussed his elite strikeout upside as a driver of his popularity but he's also starting to pitch better as well, going deeper into games. The matchup against the A's is one where, yes, they have power, but they also strikeout a lot if you take Jacob Wilson out of the equation.Â
Landen Roupp, San Francisco Giants
Another great option today. Roupp gets a matchup against the White Sox as he comes off six shutout innings in his last start against the Red Sox. The strikeout numbers have been inconsistent but this is more so about his matchup against Chicago than his overall form.
Jose Soriano, Los Angeles Angels
Early in the season we talked about how Soriano threw a heavy ball and relied a ton of groundballs but just wasn't missing any bats. Well, something has changed because now he is and he's doing it while still throwing the 98 MPH sinker. The strikeout upside against the Nationals may be tougher to come by as we've seen at times this season but we can't ignore someone who has struck out 10 and 12 hitters in two of his last three outings.
Brayan Bello, Boston Red Sox
Bello has looked like a new man over his last two starts and that comes on the heels of him adding a cutter into his pitching mix and not just adding the cutter but essentially making it one of his most thrown pitches along with his usual sinker. With Bello just throwing more hard stuff than soft stuff we are seeing more strikeouts and he's been a much more effective pitcher.
The Blue Jays are not an offense that strikes out all that much but I'm eager to see if Bello, especially at his value price can pay off with another quality outing.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Core MLB DFS Hitters
New York Yankees Lefties + Judge
How about Mitch Spence on the mound for the A's today allowing a .320 average, .520 slugging and .383 wOBA to left-handed hitters this season? That doesn't feel like a recipe for success as he takes the mound in Yankee Stadium today against a lineup that will feature Grisham, Bellinger, Chisholm and Rice from the left side of the plate here this evening.
Detroit Tigers Righties
Another day where we look to rock some Tigers in our lineups as Minnesota Twins righty David Festa is allowing a .303 average with a .515 slugging percentage, .384 wOBA and 2.3 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season.
Look for Gleyber Torres, Spencer Torkelson, Javier Baez and Dillon Dingler to be in favorable spots but in general the Tigers are just a good offense today.
Los Angeles Dodgers Get a Lefty
There are always a group of Dodgers we love to get in our lineups when a lefty is on the mound so look for Teoscar Hernandez, Tommy Edman, Will Smith and Andy Pages to find themselves in some fruitful spots today against Noah Cameron.
Tampa Bay Rays Lefties
Tomoyuki Sugano has actually been a decent pitcher for the Orioles this season but he's allowing 1.7 HR/9 to left-handed hitters on the year and the Rays have a bunch of good lefty hitters headlined by Jonathan Aranda, Brandon Lowe and Josh Lowe but you can also consider Chandler Simpson and Jake Mangum tonight as well.
Byron Buxton + Minnesota Twins Righties
Sawyer Gibson-Long hasn't pitched many games this season but righties are hammering him to the tune of a .344 average, .656 slugging percentage and .431 wOBA. Look for Byron Buxton to potentially leadoff this game with yet another home run for Minnesota.Â
