Mickey Gasper MLB ParlayPlay Fantasy Pick: More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

What if I told you that Mickey Gasper was one of the hottest hitters in the league? Yep, a guy most of us never even knew existed a few months ago is now tearing it up for the Boston Red Sox. Count on Gasper to keep it going against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday. 

Gasper is simply crushing the ball ever since he rejoined Boston’s lineup in mid-August. He came into this weekend hitting .366 with an insane 1.494 OPS over his last 15 games. Then, Gasper homered on Friday night. He now has eight homers over his past 16 games, which is absolutely unreal. 

Of course, he’s bound to cool off at some point. But let’s ride the hot streak while it’s happening, especially in a favorable matchup. Orioles starter Chris Bassitt brings in a 4.97 ERA and 1.58 WHIP this year. He’s also had some shaky outings since returning to the Baltimore rotation last month. 

Bassitt is allowing a .326 batting average and .917 OPS to left-handed hitters this year. Those poor numbers line up perfectly for Gasper to stay hot. The switch-hitter is batting .305 with a .959 OPS against right-handed pitching this season.

 

Oneil Cruz MLB ParlayPlay Fantasy Pick: More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

After spending more than two months on the sidelines, Oneil Cruz is back and immediately making an impact for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The center fielder is batting .300 with a .957 OPS through his first 14 games since returning from a hand fracture. Look for him to stay hot in Saturday’s matchup. 

Yusei Kikuchi takes the mound for the Los Angeles Angels, and the veteran lefty has had a rough season so far. Kikuchi owns a 5.65 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across nine starts. He hasn’t looked much better since returning from his own extended absence, allowing 13 hits and four home runs over 12 innings in his two starts back. 

This sets up nicely for Cruz, who has been especially dangerous against left-handed pitching. In the split, he’s batting .306 with an .848 OPS this year. Kikuchi has also struggled against left-handed hitters, allowing them to bat .302 with a .796 OPS. Cruz has also performed better at home, where he’s hitting .286 compared to .255 on the road.
