Chalkboard Fantasy MLB Picks Today: Saturday, 6/6

Josh Jung MLB Chalkboard Fantasy Pick: Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBI

After a down 2025 campaign, Josh Jung has been the best hitter for the Texas Rangers this season. The third baseman is batting .311 with an .842 OPS on the year. Let’s back him to keep it going in a favorable spot on Saturday.

Tanner Bibee will start for the Cleveland Guardians. The right-hander has a shaky 4.57 ERA and 4.81 FIP this season. He’s especially struggled on the road, with a 5.96 ERA across five away starts. Plus, he’s posted a 5.08 ERA over his last six starts coming into this outing.

As for Jung, he’s swinging a hot bat right now. He boasts a .339 batting average and .895 OPS over the last 15 games. During this stretch, he’s gone over 1.5 hits+runs+RBI in 11 of the 15 contests. Plus, Jung is hitting .389 with a 1.063 OPS at home, in addition to a .317 average and .856 OPS vs. right-handed pitching.

Nick Lodolo MLB Chalkboard Fantasy Pick: Under 4.5 Strikeouts

It’s been a shaky start to the season for Nick Lodolo. The Cincinnati Reds’ southpaw has a 5.20 ERA over his first five outings, while his 6.75 FIP and 6.62 xERA are much worse. Let’s fade him today, specifically with his strikeouts prop, on the road against the St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals have just a 17.4% strikeout rate against left-handed pitching this season, the second-lowest in the majors. Over the past two weeks, their K rate vs. lefties is down to 15.3% (third-lowest). This is a tough spot for Lodolo, who doesn’t have a ton of strikeout upside as is.

The Reds’ starter has just an 18.3% strikeout rate so far this year, which ranks in the 24th MLB percentile. He’s also finished with four or fewer punchouts in 3-of-5 starts. His strikeouts should again be limited in this matchup.
