We’ll highlight the top-tier studs, the best value plays, and the mispriced players in the mid-tier to help gain an edge! Without further ado, let’s dive into the Week 4 DFS WR Coach, exclusively at Fantasy Alarm!

NFL DFS Week 4 WR Coach for Fanduel & DraftKings Fantasy

Unlike past weeks, we have numerous games that have a total in the upper-40s! As you’ll see with some of the write-ups below, I like the very high-end of the wide receivers, and then from there, I really like the mid-tier options, especially on DraftKings, where pricing remains soft for numerous wideouts. After sifting through the data and crunching the numbers, I’ve identified my favorite plays at the position this week, and there should be a receiver or two at every price point to give you plenty of options when building your NFL DFS lineups this week, headlined by Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams.

NFL Week 4 Wide Receivers

Quick notes on the slate:

This is a living, breathing resource, and it will be updated as the week goes on, based on injury news, practice reports, etc. By Sunday, you may see some players removed who were earlier featured, or perhaps some players added as the week goes on.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Week 4

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $7,300 | FanDuel: $8,800

Cleveland has a weak spot in the secondary, and it’s with Myles Harden in the slot. Harden ranks in the bottom six in the league in terms of yards allowed in slot coverage and yards per coverage snaps, per PFF, not to mention a 130.9 passer rating when targeted! All of that is a recipe for disaster with Amon-Ra St. Brown next up for Cleveland. The game is in Detroit, which is good for Jared Goff and the Lions, and it’s such a good matchup for The Sun God.

Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens - DraftKings: $6,700 | FanDuel: $7,300

I’m hoping people are quick to forget about what Flowers did in Weeks 1 and 2. Yes, he was quiet on Monday night against Detroit, and he has a 30 percent target share and 2.11 yards per route run out of the slot this year, per Fantasy Points. The Chiefs have surrendered the eighth-highest yards per route run to the slot this season, and Flowers has averaged nine targets per game in two career matchups against the Chiefs.

Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $7,200

The Bears have allowed the third-most yards per route run and sixth-most fantasy points to players on the perimeter this year, per Fantasy Points, and Odunze has been elite on the perimeter.  His 46.1 percent air yards share, 29.5 percent target rate, and 2.47 yards per route run are exceptional, and Chicago’s WR1 is fifth amongst WRs in fantasy points per route run when lined up out wide, per Fantasy Points. Also, simply put, the Raiders have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to wideouts this year, so there’s that, too.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 4

Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $6,500

Someone needs to do a check on the QA and pricing teams at DraftKings, because what the hell is up with Keenan Allen’s price? He’s scored at least 17 DK points in all three games this year, and his price has moved up $600 compared to Week 1. HUH!? He’s been a consistent presence in the L.A. passing attack, and he gets a juicy matchup against a Giants team that has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to wideouts. Furthermore, expect Allen to eat out of the slot, seeing as he has posted 2.13 yards per route run and 0.27 targets per route run out of the slot, per Fantasy Points, and Andru Phillips has allowed 2.34 yards per coverage snap and the most yards in slot coverage this season, per PFF. Quentin Johnston is also a strong value at $5,500 on DraftKings, too.

Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders - DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $6,100

Meyers leads the Raiders in receptions and yards on the year, and he’s averaging a healthy eight targets per game. The Bears have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts this season, and as long as Chicago continues to deploy Nick McCloud as its slot corner, expect us to target there a lot this season. McCloud has allowed a perfect 158.3 passer rating when targeted this season in slot coverage, per PFF, including 2.06 yards per coverage snap and two touchdowns. Meyers has posted 2.03 yards per route run when lined up in the slot this season, per Fantasy Points.

Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $6,300

UPDATE: Pearsall will suit up, and Jauan Jennings will as well. However, still like Pearsall amongst the SF receivers.

I’d expect Jauan Jennings to be back in the mix this week, but the Jags have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts, and the San Fran defense is banged up. Jennings had a season-high route share from the slot in Week 3, but he primarily lines up out wide, and he’s recorded 2.24 yards per route run and 2.4 yards per target over expectation when lined up on the perimeter, per Fantasy Points. Why does this matter? Well, I’ll tell you. Jacksonville has allowed the second-most receptions and fantasy points out wide on the season.

Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills - DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $5,700

The Saints have been solid in rush defense this year in terms of yardage, and opposing offenses have the seventh-highest pass rate over expectation when facing the Saints, per Fantasy Points. Despite Buffalo likely playing from ahead, here’s the cliff notes version of why I like Coleman amongst the Buffalo wideouts against New Orleans and its Cover 3 defense, with data courtesy of Fantasy Points:

  • Of QBs who played in at least 10 games in 2024, Josh Allen had the 4th-highest adjusted net yards per attempt, and the ninth-highest Deep Throw rate (20+ yards) against Cover 3
  • The Saints have allowed the fifth-most yards per route run and third-most fantasy points to the perimeter this season.
  • When lined up out wide this season, Coleman has posted 2.03 yards per route run, 0.110 first downs per route run, and an 81.3 percent catch rate.

NFL Week 4 DFS WR Value Picks

Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons - DraftKings: $4,700 | FanDuel: $5,700

This Washington defense has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts. Marshon Lattimore and Mike Sainristil have been underwhelming in coverage on the perimeter, and if they continue to play man coverage at a high clip, Mooney is the Atlanta receiver I find a bit intriguing. He leads the team with 0.73 expected fantasy points per route run against man coverage, and since returning from injury, he’s commanded 40% of the team’s air yards with a 21.9 percent target share, per Fantasy Points. I believe Mooney outscores Drake London in this matchup, and Mooney is sub-$5K on DraftKings.

Christian Kirk, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $5,500

In his Houston debut, Kirk was second on the team in target share (18.4%), and he caught three balls for 25 yards. With L’Jarius Sneed likely spending a lot of time with Nico Collins, Kirk will look to exploit Roger McCreary in the slot, who has allowed 1.95 yards per coverage snap this season, per PFF, which is the sixth-highest amongst CBs with at least 20 coverage snaps in the slot this season. C.J. Stroud has looked bad this season, but for his career, he’s been better at home than on the road.

Luther Burden, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $4,700 | FanDuel: $4,900

This is purely a dart throw if you want to be a bit contrarian in getting some exposure to the Chicago offense. Burden posted a season-high 24.1 percent route share last week, and if he continues to make plays when given the chance, he’s going to force his way onto the field. In Week 3, he was targeted three times on seven routes, had the same first read rate as Olamide Zaccheaus, and had a designed play for him. He’s tough to trust until he’s playing a more regular role, but at some point, talent wins out, and he’ll be on the field more often than not. The arrow is trending up, and the Raiders have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to wideouts on the season.

Elic Ayomanor, Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $3,900 | FanDuel: $5,400

Calvin Ridley is intriguing in this matchup as well, especially if Derek Stingley (rib/oblique) were to miss this game, but Ayomanor has effectively been the WR1 for Tennessee this season. Ridley may have more yards and targets, but Ayomanor has been the more effective wideout and better in the contested catch department. Cam Ward has a 58.5 passer rating when targeting Ridley, compared to a 110.2 mark when targeting Ayomanor, per Fantasy Points. I’m a bit concerned about Ward being under constant duress from Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson, but on DraftKings, Ayomanor is too cheap in a game where [somehow] Tennessee is a heavy underdog.

NFL DFS WR Fade for Week 4

Brian Thomas, Jacksonville Jaguars - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $7,500

The 49ers play Cover 3 at the eighth-highest clip in the league, and amidst all of Thomas’ struggles this year, he’s caught just 27.3 percent of his targets against Cover 3, with a measly 0.77 yards per route run, per Fantasy Points. Beyond that, when looking at Trevor Lawrence, he has a 47.1 completion rate against Cover 3, per Fantasy Points, with three of his four interceptions on the year against this coverage scheme. I think Thomas’ struggles will continue into Week 4, and the 49ers have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts this season.

NFL Week 4 WR Play of The Week

Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $7,900 | FanDuel: $9,400

UPDATE: Adams is expected to play, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's on somewhat of a snap count.

UPDATE: Adams didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, paving the way for close to a billion targets for Nacua this weekend.

The Colts play a good bit of Cover 3, and check out Nacua’s numbers last year and through three weeks in 2025 against Cover 3, per Fantasy Points:

Target Share

Yards per Route Run

Fantasy Pts. per Route Run

2024

33.6%

4.64

0.89

2025

47.8%

7.28

1.28

I like Davante Adams, and the target share is strong, but against Cover 3 this season, Stafford has a 55.4 passer rating when targeting Adams, and the veteran wideout has -3.0 yards per target over expectation, per Fantasy Points. Nacua to the moon this week.
