NFL DFS Divisional Round WR Coach for Fanduel & DraftKings Fantasy
The divisional round features four games that should leave no shortage of entertainment and excitement! However, when it comes to lineup building at the wide receiver spot, there are some tough decisions to be made. There’s a lot of good secondaries playing this weekend, and the one game that boasts the two worst secondaries (Rams-Bears), could have some inclement weather. After sifting through the data and crunching the numbers, I’ve identified my favorite plays at the position this week, and there should be a receiver or two at every price point to give you plenty of options when building your NFL DFS lineups this week, headlined by Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks.
NFL Divisional Round Wide Receivers
This is a living, breathing resource, and it will be updated as the week goes on, based on injury news, practice reports, etc. By kickoff, you may see some players removed who were earlier featured, or perhaps some players added.
Here’s a helpful resource, courtesy of FantasyPoints Data, on the remaining teams, and how they fared against Wide Receivers from Week 14-on (including Wild Card round if applicable to the team):
|  | Fantasy Points per Game to PERIMETER WRs | Fantasy Points per Game to SLOT WRs | Fantasy Points per Game to WRs (overall) |
| BUF | 10th | 7th | 8th |
| DEN | 9th | 16th | 13th |
| SF | 14th | 11th | 14th |
| SEA | 15th | 1st | 6th |
| HOU | 12th | 8th | 12th |
| NE | 5th | 6th | 4th |
| LAR | 30th | 19th | 30th |
| CHI | 22nd | 32nd | 32nd |
TIP: Lower number is better, meaning via the chart above, the Bears have allowed the most fantasy points per game to receivers dating back to Week 14.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Divisional Round
Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $9,000 | FanDuel: $9,800
How do you not look at Nacua on any given week? He’s scored a touchdown in four straight games, 110+ yards in four of his last six, and double-digit targets in six straight. He had 16 targets last week, found the end zone twice, and no defense has allowed more fantasy points per game to wideouts over the last six weeks than the Chicago Bears! Beginning with Week 14, the Bears are playing single-high safety looks at the eighth-highest rate in the NFL, per FantasyPoints Data, and against single-high safety looks this season, Nacua leads the NFL with 4.60 yards per route run. The next closest is Jaxon Smith-Njigba at 3.81 yards per route run, WHICH IS NEARLY A FULL YARD LOWER THAN NACUA!
Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,800
As I mentioned with Nacua, the Bears have allowed the most fantasy points per game to wideouts over the last six weeks, and while Adams didn’t light it up in the Wild Card round win over the Panthers, he managed five grabs (13 targets) for 72 yards. Adams (195) had nearly as many air yards as Nacua (197), per FantasyPoints Data, and it was Adams who actually led the Rams with a 41.4% first read rate! Chicago’s secondary is one of the worst left in the playoffs, if not the worst, and I’d expect Matthew Stafford and Co. to get after this secondary through the air. We will need to keep an eye on the weather, though, to see if any wind or precipitation will be present on Sunday evening.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Divisional Round
Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $6,800
I’m curious to see Ricky Pearsall this week, because if we do, I might pivot there. However, over the final six weeks of the regular season against two-high safeties, Jennings posted a respectable 1.78 yards per route run and 0.61 fantasy points per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. Jennings led the team in routes on Wild Card weekend, and the team moves him all around the formation. While the Seahawks were the best team against slot receivers over the final five weeks of the regular season, they were only about league average in terms of fantasy points per game to receivers on the perimeter. Jennings averaged 5.5 targets per game in the two games in the regular season against the Seahawks, and for the entire 2025 season, Jennings was tied with George Kittle for the second-best targets per route run mark (0.19) against two-high safety looks (trailing only Christian McCaffrey).
Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills - DraftKings: $5,100 | FanDuel: $6,500
The Denver defense is very, very good, but Josh Allen has to move the ball somehow, right? Shakir is the possession receiver in the offense who relies on yards after the catch to make his money. He’s more intriguing on DraftKings, thanks to the PPR scoring, and last week against Jacksonville, he had a 1.8 average depth of target (aDOT) in that game, per FantasyPoints Data! He led all players in the Wild Card round in receptions, and I’d expect the Bills to get the ball in his hands, as Pat Surtain doesn’t really get into the slot on too many occasions. Over the last five weeks of the regular season (Weeks 14-18), the Broncos were the ninth-best team in terms of fantasy points per game allowed to perimeter receivers, but just 16th when it came to slot receivers, per FantasyPoints Data.
I will also note, despite the fact that Brandin Cooks ($4,000 on DraftKings, $5,700 on FanDuel) will see more of Surtain than Shakir will, given all the injuries to the Buffalo WR room, I’m intrigued by him, too. He posted a 22.4 aDOT, 0.28 targets per route run, and 3.22 yards per route run in the Wild Card win over the Jaguars.
Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $6,300
The Rams have allowed the 3rd-most fantasy points to receivers overall, and the 3rd-most to perimeter receivers over the last six weeks (including the Wild Card round), per FantasyPoints Data. Emmanuel Forbes and Cobie Durant have been subpar to say the least, as both players have allowed 14+ yards per reception and a 105+ passer rating when targeted dating back to Week 14, per PFF. Despite catching just three balls in the Wild Card round, Odunze had a near-70% route share, 20.5 aDOT, and six targets, per FantasyPoints Data. This game features the highest total on the board and the worst secondaries remaining in the NFL playoffs.
Luther Burden, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $4,700 | FanDuel: $5,800
Did you catch the Panthers-Rams game last week? Carolina, a team that doesn’t throw it downfield a ton, went after the Rams through the air. Bryce Young posted a 9.2 aDOT, his highest in a game this season, and had success! Explosive receivers downfield can give this L.A. secondary fits, and including the Wild Card round, the Rams have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the last six weeks. Burden’s explosiveness should have the Rams concerned, especially when he is in the slot, seeing as Quentin Lake allowed 2.47 yards per coverage snap and a 108.3 passer rating in slot coverage last week, per Pro Football Focus. I said it once already, and I’ll say it again: This game features the highest total on the board, and the worst secondaries remaining in the NFL playoffs.

NFL Divisional Round DFS WR Value Picks
Christian Kirk, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $4,100 | FanDuel: $6,100
It might feel like we’re chasing fantasy points here, considering Kirk went for 144 yards in the Wild Card round after totaling just 239 yards for the entire regular season (13 games). Kirk dominated the Pittsburgh secondary, and C.J. Stroud had a 155.8 passer rating when targeting Kirk, per FantasyPoints. Nico Collins is likely to miss this game, and the team is going to rely on Kirk stepping up yet again for this offense. During the regular season, Marcus Jones allowed a league-high five touchdowns in slot coverage, not to mention a 112.3 passer rating when targeted, per Pro Football Focus (PFF). If you are worried about Kirk, I expect a lot of people to look at Jayden Higgins, and I don’t mind that, but I will look to Xavier Hutchinson. He has been more productive against man coverage, in terms of yards per route run and fantasy points per route run, compared to Higgins.
Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots - DraftKings: $4,300 | FanDuel: $5,500
Stefon Diggs revenge game be damned! We are looking at Boutte here! The only vulnerable part of this Houston defense, at times, is explosive plays downfield. When Drake Maye is getting the ball downfield, Boutte is the guy on the receiving end a lot of the time, as seen by Boutte’s 17.5 aDOT and 16+ yards per reception this season, per FantasyPoints Data. The Houston defense, albeit phenomenal in the Wild Card round, was a bit leaky down the stretch, and on passes 20+ yards downfield over the final six weeks of the regular season, Houston allowed the second-most passing yards in the NFL and the fourth-highest completion percentage over expectation, per FantasyPoints Data.
Pat Bryant, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $3,900 | FanDuel: $4,900
Following the team’s bye in Week 12, Bryant did miss a couple of games, but let’s take a look at just the games Bryant did play in following the Week 12 bye (Weeks 13, 14, 16, and 18):
| Â | Route Share | Target Share | Receiving Yards Per Game | Yards per Route Run | First Read Rate |
| Courtland Sutton | 84.4% | 19.0% | 53.8 | 1.47 | 25.9% |
| Pat Bryant | 68.2% | 16.3% | 36.8 | 1.25 | 20.0% |
| Troy Franklin | 60.1% | 8.5% | 24.5 | 0.94 | 10.6% |
Â
Bryant primarily lines up in the slot, and it’s not the best of matchups against Taron Johnson, but it’s worth noting that Jacksonville’s Parker Washington did post 3.07 yards per route run out of the slot in the Wild Card round against this Buffalo defense, albeit with just a 34.0 passer rating when targeted, per FantasyPoints Data. I like Sutton, but at the price points, I find Bryant a bit more intriguing.

NFL DFS WR Fade for Divisional Round
Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots - DraftKings: $5,800 | FanDuel: $6,600
I mentioned it with Boutte, and it’s explosive downfield receivers that can give Houston fits, and possession guys like Diggs tend to have underwhelming days against Houston. I’d expect New England to really lean into Hunter Henry and the running backs against Houston’s linebackers, more so than willingly going at Derek Stingley Jr., Kamari Lassiter, and Jalen Pitre over and over again. Diggs’ route share was nearly a 50/50 split between the perimeter (54.5%) and in the slot (45.5%), and since the NFL schedule flipped to Week 14, Houston ranks eighth and 12th in terms of fantasy points allowed per game to wideouts in the slot and on the perimeter, respectively. Revenge game narrative, sure, but I’ll fade it here.

NFL Divisional Round WR Play of The Week
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks - DraftKings: $8,500 | FanDuel: $9,400
Nothing wrong with taking the chalk, and the outlook for JSN in this matchup is so, so good. Simply put, there’s no one in this secondary that can stop JSN, let alone slow him down. He went for 124 yards and 84 yards in two games against San Fran this season, and the All-Pro wideout averaged over 100 yards per game and 15+ yards per reception at home this season. The 49ers have been deploying a good bit of single-high safety looks of late (6th-highest rate in NFL since Week 14), and in terms of yards per route run, Smith-Njigba’s 3.81 yards per route run is the second-best in the NFL, per FantasyPoints Data. The 49ers don’t generate a ton of pressure, which is good for Darnold, as his 106.5 passer rating when not pressured is light years better than his 78.2 rating when he has been pressured.
