| Left WR vs Right CB | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Brandin Cooks | BUF | 4 / 3.6 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Pat Surtain | DEN | Risky |
| Brandin Cooks finished last week's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars tied for the second-most targets among Bills pass catchers, catching three of five targets and finishing with 58 receiving yards. Cooks would be my second option to invest in among Bills' wide receivers, but there are options with much higher upside on this weekend's slate of games. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| DJ Moore | CHI | 10.5 / 8.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Cobie Durant | LAR | Moderate |
| DJ Moore finished last week's matchup against the Green Bay Packers with the most routes run among Bears' wide receivers and had a 15% target share which was tied for second behind only tight end Colston Loveland. Moore caught six-of-seven targets and finished with 64 receiving yards. The Rams' secondary has been a very fantasy-friendly matchup for wide receivers across the second half of this season, so Moore could have a solid game if he continues to see a solid target share. He also has the risk of a low floor with the Bears' entire group of pass catchers healthy and his tendency to randomly disappear in games. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Courtland Sutton | DEN | 13.3 / 11.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Christian Benford | BUF | Risky |
| There was that weird stint in the middle of the season when it looked like Courtland Sutton had been surpassed by Troy Franklin as the #1 wide receiver for Denver, but things are back to normal for the Broncos with Sutton having double digit targets in his last four games of the season. The Bills' outside cornerbacks have well for the majority of the season, but Sutton should still be a solid play behind that kind of volume if it continues. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jayden Higgins | HOU | 7.6 / 6.4 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Christian Gonzalez | NE | Risky |
| Jayden Higgins was targeted four times in Houston’s matchup against the Steelers last weekend and finished with three receptions for 39 yards. This makes six straight games with three receptions or less for the Texans rookie, who is going to be even more important to the offense against New England this weekend with Nico Collins ruled out due to a concussion. It’s a tough matchup no matter who Higgins lines up against on the outside, so I would prefer to look at Christian Kirk or tight end Dalton Schultz if I’m going to invest in the Texans' passing offense against the Patriots. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Davante Adams | LAR | 15.9 / 13.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Nahshon Wright | CHI | Safe |
| The Rams' wide receiver room continues to be one of the easiest to navigate for fantasy purposes, and last week’s Wild Card matchup against the Panthers wasn’t any different. Davante Adams and Puka Nacua had a combined 29 targets, and the rest of the wide receiver room had a whopping one target. Adams caught five of his 13 targets for 72 yards last week and has a much easier matchup against Chicago compared to the Panthers' secondary that he was up against last week. Adams should be considered one of the best options at the wide receiver position on this weekend’s slate. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Kayshon Boutte | NE | 9.2 / 7.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Kamari Lassiter | HOU | Risky |
| Kayshon Boutte was the Patriots' leading receiver in their Wild Card win against the Chargers, catching all four of his targets for 66 yards. It’s tough to know how good of an idea it would be to try to chase that production this weekend whenever you consider the difficult matchup against Houston and the fact that that was the first time Boutte had more than 35 receiving yards in a game since Week 8. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jaxon Smith-Njigba | SEA | 22.8 / 19.3 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Renardo Green | SF | Safe |
| There’s not much I need to say about Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He finished the season with an insane 32.6% target share and 44.6% first-read percentage and is someone that fantasy managers can feel confident playing regardless of matchup. JSN is my WR2 on this weekend’s slate, just behind Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Demarcus Robinson | SF | 5.6 / 4.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Riq Woolen | SEA | Risky |
| Surprisingly, it was Demarcus Robinson and not Jauan Jennings that led the 49ers in receiving against the Eagles in the Wild Card round. Robinson finished with a team-high 22% target share and 111 receiving yards, but it’s tough to trust that will continue considering it was his first game with more than 45 receiving yards this season. Now he’s tasked with a matchup against one of the toughest secondaries in the NFL. | ||
| Â | Â | Â |
| Â | Â | Â |
| Right WR vs Left CB | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Keon Coleman | BUF | 7.9 / 7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Riley Moss | DEN | Moderate |
| Injuries to both Tyrell Shavers and Gabe Davis have put the Bills in a position they’ve been trying to avoid for the majority of the second half of the season, giving Keon Coleman meaningful playing time. Coleman does offer the most upside as a possession receiver in the red zone among Bills wide receivers, but if the Bills haven’t been wanting to play him, it’s tough to find a reason why fantasy managers should. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Rome Odunze | CHI | 12.2 / 10.4 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Emmanuel Forbes | LAR | Safe |
| Rome Odunze made his return to the field after missing the last five games due to injury and immediately went back to running the second-most routes among Bears wide receivers in last week's matchup against Green Bay and finished with two receptions for 44 yards on six targets. It wasn’t a very efficient showing for Odunze, but it was encouraging to see him back in a full-time role. It wouldn’t shock me at all if Odunze ends up being the most productive Bears wide receiver this weekend in a plus matchup against the Los Angeles Rams' secondary. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Troy Franklin | DEN | 10.5 / 8.5 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Tre'Davious White | BUF | Risky |
| Troy Franklin ended up finishing the season second among Broncos pass catchers with a 16.6% target share, but saw concerning trends in both his snaps and targets to end the season – playing over 60% of the snaps just once since Denver’s Week 12 bye and finishing below five targets in three of his last five games. Franklin is a risky play this weekend given the tough matchup against the Buffalo secondary and these recent trends. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Xavier Hutchinson | HOU | 5.7 / 4.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Carlton Davis | NE | Moderate |
| Xavier Hutchinson is likely to see increased playing time with Nico Collins out with a concussion, but Hutchinson had more than 50 receiving yards in a game just twice this season. There should be much better options to pick from this weekend given the tough matchup against New England and Hutchinson’s poor track record. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Puka Nacua | LAR | 25.4 / 21.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Jaylon Johnson | CHI | Safe |
| Puka Nacua continued to do Puka things last week against the Panthers, finishing with 10 receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown on 16 targets. There’s not much that needs to be said about Puka. If he can do that against a tough Panthers secondary, he should have no issue in his upcoming matchup against the Bears. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Stefon Diggs | NE | 12.7 / 10.3 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Derek Stingley | HOU | Risky |
| The weird up-and-down season for Stefon Diggs rolled over to the playoffs where he was targeted five times but finished with just two receptions for 16 yards. This was a disappointing showing for Diggs, who had over 100 receiving yards in two of his previous three games. Even as sporadic as it’s been at times, Diggs has still been the most productive wide receiver for the Patriots this season and would be the guy I’d bet on to have a good game against this difficult Houston secondary if I had to pick one. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Rashid Shaheed | SEA | 8.9 / 7.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Deommodore Lenoir | SF | Moderate |
| Rashid Shaheed looked like he was finally finding his stride with his new team after the trade deadline when he had a combined 12 targets in Weeks 14 and 15 but ended the season on a low note after he suffered a concussion in Week 17. A big fantasy day to his big-play ability is always going to be a possibility, but he’s also shown that he has a very low floor as well. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jauan Jennings | SF | 11.6 / 9.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Josh Jobe | SEA | Moderate |
| Seattle has been a tough matchup across the board for wide receivers, but it’s tough not to like Jauan Jennings in a game with no George Kittle and Ricky Pearsall currently listed as questionable as well. Jennings disappointed in the Wild Card round against Philadelphia with just one reception for 45 yards on three targets, but he had at least five targets in 10 of his last 11 games to close the season. | ||
