NFL Injury Report 2025 - Fantasy Football Wild Card Round: Omarion Hampton, Rome Odunze
The seeding is set, and the NFL Playoffs have arrived! With 14 teams vying for the chance to be the 2025 Super Bowl champions, we’re still looking through the NFL to try to gain an edge on the injuries around the league. With playoff matchups locked in, it’s important to understand who is hurt and who could be a surprise player behind them.
Let’s dive in.

Â
NFL Wild Card Round Injury Report: Quarterbacks
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
1/10 UPDATE
Herbert has no designation and will start against the Patriots. This was expected, but still good to see that he was able to log full practices.Â
Herbert sat out in Week 18, but this was mostly due to the game having little importance to the season. He’s expected to return to action against the Patriots.

NFL Wild Card Round Injury Report: Running Backs
Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers
1/10 UPDATE
Hampton has stated that he intends to play this weekend. I would proceed with that as the plan, but expect Kimani Vidal to steal some of the work, especially if the Chargers take a commanding lead or are at a deficit at any point.
Hampton sat out practice all week and was ultimately ruled out in Week 18. He will need to return to practice to return to the lineup this weekend, but should he return, he does have a tough matchup against a Patriots defense that has allowed the 5th least rushing yards per game amongst playoff teams. If he’s inactive, expect Kimani Vidal to step up in his place.

NFL Wild Card Round Injury Report: Wide Receivers
Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears
1/10 UPDATE
Rome enters the weekend with no injury designation and will be active against Green Bay. This is a huge addition for the Bears as they get arguably their WR1 back for the Wild Card round.
Rome was ultimately inactive against the Lions, but he did return to practice last week, and hopefully will return to action against Chicago. We’ll have to wait for more reports to be sure, but his rejoining the lineup should be a spark for the Chicago offense that struggled against Detroit.
Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
1/10 UPDATE
Adams logged three full practices and has no injury designation. He will return against the Panthers this weekend.
Adams is expected to return from his hamstring injury against the Panthers. His return to action will be appreciated by Stafford, who targeted Adams on 36 percent of his red zone throws.
Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers
1/10 UPDATE
Pearsall sat out all three practices this week. He is listed as questionable, but I am not expecting him to be active this weekend.Â
Pearsall sat out in Week 18, but it’s expected that this was mostly precautionary to help him get as healthy as possible for the playoffs. He’s currently expected to return to action, but we will monitor reports throughout the week.
Joshua Palmer, Buffalo Bills
1/10 UPDATE
Palmer did not practice on Friday and will be listed as questionable. Even if he does play, he hasn't recorded more than five targets in a game since the season opener, so he will likely play a limited role even if active.
Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers
1/10 UPDATE
Wicks was able to practice in a limited fashion with his concussion, but did not clear concussion protocol. He will be out against Chicago.Â
Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots
1/10 UPDATE
Boutte is dealing with a hamstring injury. He will be listed as questionable. If he plays, he has some upside as a big play threat for this offense.

NFL Wild Card Round Injury Report: Tight Ends
Terrance Ferguson, Los Angeles Rams
1/10 UPDATE
Ferguson is officially listed as questionable. Even if he plays, I would not expect much given the three-headed beast the Rams deploy at tight end.Â
Ferguson has been dealing with a hamstring injury that caused him to be inactive this past week. Even if he returns to action, Tyler Higbee’s return plus Colby Parkinson make him a rotational piece at best at the current.Â
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
1/10 UPDATE
Goedert enters the weekend with no injury designation. He will return in the Wild Card round of the playoffs as a TE1 for Fantasy/DFS purposes.Â
Goedert sat out the Week 18 matchup against Washington. He didn’t practice at all last week and will likely need to return to practice in a limited fashion to return to action against San Francisco. His return will be important to Philly, as his backup, Grant Calcaterra, left Week 18’s game with a knee/ankle injury.Â
