Today, we have plenty of talent on the diamond and many different ways to build your lineup. Our expert analysis is here to guide you through the top pitchers, value plays, and stackable offenses to target.

Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!

This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.

The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.

The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.

The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers

Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Blake Snell, Los Angeles Dodgers

Since the All-Star break, Philadelphia has been an above average offense against lefties, but the one thing they do a lot is strikeout. Since the break, they have a 26.1% K-rate, which is the third-highest mark in the league. Snell's pitching well allowing 2 ER or less in four straight games while tossing 6+ IP. He's had 9+ Ks in three of those four games.

Jesus Luzardo, Philadelphia Phillies

There have been a lot of really high ceiling games from Jesus Luzardo this season, especially lately. Since August 20th, he's struck out at least 10 batters three times and has FIVE outings of at least 24 DKP. The Dodgers offense is top-10 in most categories against lefties but have struck out nearly 24% of the time since the All-Star break.

Quinn Priester, Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers have lost ONE of Quinn Priester's outings since May 30th. Think about that for a second. ITS OCTOBER! Priester is not starting, but he'll enter the game after Aaron Ashby opens the game. We don't know how long Priester will be on the mound for, but if he keeps generating ground balls and getting outs, he could pitch enough to qualify for a win.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Ranking My Top Stacks below;

1. Milwaukee Brewers

The primary question for the Brewers today; will Jackson Chourio play? If he does, this Brewers lineup is a PROBLEM. It's still really good without him. The matchup against Shota Imanaga is eye-popping because of the home runs he allows. Against right-handed hitters this year, righties have a .240 ISO, .265 xISO, 27 HR, and 2.2 HR/9.

There are a long list of Brewer options that I'd play from the right side: Jackson Chourio, William Contreras, Caleb Durbin, Andrew Vaughn, Blake Perkins, and Isaac Collins. You can play Christian Yelich and hope he gets to the Cubs bullpen.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

I think Jesus Luzardo is a really good pitcher. Really, really good. The Dodgers offense is also really, really good, and has some all-time greats in the postseason.

Teoscar Hernandez has been tremendous this postseason, Tommy Edman crushes lefties, and so does Kike Hernandez while also being an all-time postseason great. Oh yeah, those random players named Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman are there too.

3. Chicago Cubs

The Brewers are going with a lefty opener and then turning to Quinn Priester for bulk innings. Where we could like some Cubs bats is that Priester hasn't been great against lefties. Good, not great. Lefties have a .156 ISO, .150 xISO, .324 wOBA, and .327 xwOBA against Priester this year.

The Cubs sure have their fair share of lefties in Michael Busch, Kyle Tucker, Ian Happ, and Pete Crow-Armstrong. You can throw in Seiya Suzuki or Nico Hoerner into your stack for life after Priester. They both could also get an at-bat against lefty Aaron Ashby to start the game.

4. Philadelphia Phillies

It's not that I don't think the Phillies could have a big game here, but Blake Snell has just dominated everyone this year, especially lefties, which happens to be the two most powerful bats on the Phillies; Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper. If they can get to Snell, this offense could go off.

Trea Turner is incredibly important to what Philly does, too. Alec Bohm and Edmundo Sosa are two of the better values on the board.
