MLB Injury Report: Starting Pitchers

Kodai Senga, New York Mets - Hamstring

The belief is that Senga’s next start will come at some point during the upcoming series with the Kansas City Royals.

Hunter Greene, Cincinnati Reds - Groin

Greene is progressing well in his recovery from a groin strain, and he’ll head out on a rehab assignment beginning on Tuesday.

Clarke Schmidt, New York Yankees - Elbow

Schmidt’s 2025 season is over after an MRI revealed a tear in his UCL. He’s expected to require Tommy John surgery.

Sean Manaea, New York Mets - Oblique/Elbow

So long as there are no issues in his upcoming rehab start on Tuesday, it’s expected that his next outing will be with the Mets on the final game before the All-Star break.

Blake Snell, Los Angeles Dodgers - Shoulder

The expectation is that Snell will begin a rehab assignment this week.

Tyler Glasnow, Los Angeles Dodgers - Shoulder

Glasnow’s return is nearing, and Roster Resource has him as the tentative starter for Friday’s game against the Giants.

Jameson Taillon, Chicago Cubs - Calf

Taillon was placed on the injured list with a calf strain that is going to cost him about a month.

Yu Darvish, San Diego Padres - Elbow

After much anticipation, Darvish is set to make his season debut on Monday against the Diamondbacks.

MLB Injury Report: Hitters

Gleyber Torres, Detroit Tigers - Neck

Torres left Saturday’s game early after a nasty collision, and while he didn’t start the game on Sunday, his availability as a pinch-hitter bodes well for his status moving forward. Consider him day to day.

Rhys Hoskins, Milwaukee Brewers - Thumb

Hoskins will head to the injured list with a Grade 2 sprain of his left thumb. Andrew Vaughn should see some big league ABs during his absence.

Jake Meyers, Houston Astros - Calf

Meyers is day-to-day with calf tightness.

Nolan Arenado, St. Louis Cardinals - Shoulder

Arenado has a bit of a bum shoulder right now, but the team doesn’t believe he’ll need a trip to the IL.

Andres Gimenez, Toronto Blue Jays - Ankle

Gimenez was placed on the injured list with a left ankle sprain. Leo Jimenez and Davis Schneider figure to see time at the keystone position.

Gary Sanchez, Baltimore Orioles - Knee

Sanchez was placed on the IL with a knee sprain. Baltimore will look to Jacob Stallings and Alex Jackson to hold things down until Adley Rutschman and/or Gary Sanchez can return.

Lane Thomas, Cleveland Guardians - Foot

Thomas is dealing with plantar fasciitis, and he was placed on the injured list on Sunday.

Ha-Seong Kim, Tampa Bay Rays - Calf

Shortly after making his season debut, Kim missed action due to a calf issue. He’s day-to-day at the moment.

Brandon Lowe, Tampa Bay Rays - Side

Lowe exited Sunday’s game early with soreness in his left side. Consider him day to day.
