We've reached the final days of Week 13 of the fantasy baseball season. Today's the day you start thinking about your fantasy baseball waiver wire claims for the upcoming week, check over the MLB injury reports to see what the latest injuries are, and find out if any more MLB prospects will be getting the call.  Be on the lookout for the updated fantasy baseball player rankings for July. Before we close out the week however let's take a look at some of the top performances from Friday and highlight my favorite MLB Best Bets and player props for Saturday's games!

Kris Bryant Powers Up

Bryant has played 10 games since being activated from the injured list and he's wasted no time getting into a groove, hitting .350 with three home runs and an OPS of 1.045 since his return. Bryant is hitting .301 for the season with an OPS of .818. As we hit the summer months and Bryant gets more exposure to Coors Field fantasy managers should be expecting more nights like we saw on Friday out of Bryant.

Blake Snell Racking Up The Strikeouts

Through Snell's first seven starts of the season, he was pretty horrific, going 0-5 with a 5.60 ERA with 38 strikeouts over 35.1 innings. Snell was unstartable. However, since the calendar turned to July we've seen two dominant starts from Snell where he has allowed just two earned runs over 11.0 innings while striking out 23.  Snell is a former Cy Young winner with elite strikeout upside.  He can go through stretches like this where he dominates and if for some reason he is floating around your waiver wire now is the time to grab him up.

Michael Harris Continues To Shine

The Braves rookie outfielder came into the season ranked 46th among top prospects by Baseball America and he has done nothing by shine since getting his opportunity to play for Atlanta. On Friday night Harris went 4-for-4 with three runs, one home run and four RBI. On the season he is now hitting .310 with seven home runs, six stolen bases and an OPS of .885. Harris had never played above Double-A before being called up after hitting .305 with five home runs and 11 stolen bases over 43 games at Double-A this season. The Braves outfield is getting healthier with the return of Eddie Rosario but Harris is making sure he stays in the lineup with his hot bat and the Braves would be silly to hinder the development of one of their top prospects who is showing he can clearly handle “The Show”.

Saturday MLB Best Bets

Kyle Wright Under 4.5 Strikeouts

Wright has been a great pitcher for the Braves this season and he averages over a strikeout per inning on the year but over his last three starts, he has finished with four or fewer strikeouts in each outing. Today he faces a Nationals team that has the second-lowest strikeout rate in all of baseball at 19.2% and over the last two weeks that number is even lower at 17.9%.

Kyle Freeland Over 3.5 Strikeouts

Freeland has finished with five strikeouts in each of his last three starts and also had five strikeouts in his only start against the Diamondbacks this season. Freeland has been much better on the road this season than at home and that holds true when it comes to his strikeout rates as well as he posts a 7.5 K/9 with a 19.4% strikeout rate on the road compared to a lowly 5.2 K/9 and a 13.0% strikeout rate at home.

Hunter Greene Over 5.5 Strikeouts

This is a pretty low strikeout total for Greene today and it's likely due to the fact he is pitching at home and against a Rays offense that could do some early damage here and get him out of the game. That being said,  Greene has finished with six or more strikeouts in 12 of his 16 starts this season and in 11 of his last 12 outings. The Rays still have the fourth-highest strikeout rate against RHP on the year at 24.8%.
