Before we jump into the MLB World Series Game 7 Best Bets, let’s quickly set the stage for Saturday night. The Dodgers evened the series with their 3-1 victory yesterday. Yoshinobu Yamamoto was dominant once again, and Mookie Betts’ two-run single in the third inning proved to be the difference.Â

Blue Jays vs. Dodgers World Series Game 7 Predictions: Saturday, November 1st
Game. Seven. The best two words in sports will decide this year’s World Series champ. We’ve seen multiple dramatic finishes and excellent pitching performances all series long. Now it all comes down to this.Â
The winner-take-all Game 7 environment should naturally lead to a low-scoring game. Both teams will exhaust their bullpens to the fullest extent and yank any pitchers, including the starters, who run into trouble. Though the Blue Jays and Dodgers’ relievers have been shaky at times, all of the top arms will be available today.Â
In addition, World Series Game 7 matchups have historically been low-scoring. Over the past 10 instances, nine of those featured eight total runs or fewer, with an average of 6.4 runs scored. Pitching usually sets the tone in these games, and that’s what we’ll bank on today.Â
Max Scherzer will start for the Blue Jays. The veteran was shaky in his Game 3 outing, allowing three runs and five hits over 4.1 innings before an early exit. However, he’ll face a Los Angeles offense that’s scored just three, one, and two runs over the past three games. Plus, the Dodgers collectively have a .191 batting average in the World Series so far.Â
Scherzer could give up a couple of runs early, like he did in Game 3. However, the Blue Jays will be quick to pull the trigger and lean on the bullpen if their starter doesn’t have it. That includes Trey Yesavage on short rest, potentially. Either way, the Toronto relievers boast a dominant 2.51 ERA in the World Series.Â
On the other side, Shohei Ohtani is expected to start this game for LA. That’s because if Ohtani enters and exits the game as a reliever later on, then he won’t be able to continue as the designated hitter. So, expect Ohtani to start on short rest. The right-hander was solid in Game 4 on Tuesday, allowing two runs over the first six innings before running into trouble in the seventh frame.Â
Ohtani has been mostly effective as a pitcher in the postseason, posting a 2.08 FIP over his three starts. We’ll probably only see him for a few innings. After Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow may be the bulk guy despite just pitching the ninth inning last night. He only threw three pitches, though, and should be available to give the Dodgers some length out of the pen.Â
Glasnow has a 1.42 ERA over his five postseason appearances now. He allowed 2 earned runs in 4.2 solid innings against Toronto in Game 3. After Glasnow, expect the Dodgers to smartly use the rest of their bullpen the rest of the way to keep the Toronto offense in check.
