CFB DFS Lineups: Top Plays
Brendan Sorsby, QB, CincinnatiÂ
DK: $7,400 | FD: $11,800
The Baylor vs. Cincinnati matchup has an over/under of 67.5 points, which is the highest on the slate by a decent margin. This is clearly a game to target, and dual-threat quarterback Brendan Sorsby should be a top overall performer. He’s having an excellent season for Cincy, boasting an 18:0 TD:INT ratio over the past 6 games, and 6 rush TDs on the year as well. Sorsby is putting up 30+ DFS points regularly and now faces a Baylor team that’s allowing 118th in scoring defense and 106th in total defense. Expect him to be chalky on DK with that price tag.Â
Greg Desrosiers Jr., RB, MemphisÂ
DK: $7,600 | FD: $10,400
It won’t be popular to pay up for running backs this week. However, that makes someone like Greg Desrosiers Jr. an intriguing contrarian play as the second-most expensive RB on both DK and FD. Memphis QB Brendon Lewis is questionable to play, so it could be a run-heavy game plan for the Tigers’ offense. Desrosiers should see 20+ touches as the lead ball-carrier and a solid pass-catching option out of the backfield. This game vs. South Florida projects to be a high-scoring one, and Desrosiers will be one of Memphis’ top performers. He’s put up 41, 17, and 23 DK over the past three games.Â
O’Mega Blake, WR, ArkansasÂ
DK: $6,600 | FD: $8,500
The top tier of the wide receiver position is tough to navigate this week. The Indiana and Alabama WRs are all definitely in play, but O’Mega Blake may fly under the radar with similar or better DFS production. He’s the clear alpha in the Arkansas passing game, with his 42 receptions and 582 yards both leading the team by wide margins. Auburn has an elite rush defense, so the Razorbacks should be passing more in this matchup. Blake is averaging 6 receptions and 83.1 yards per game, so the floor should be safe. There’s upside for more in a game that may turn into an offensive shootout. Â

CFB DFS Lineups: Value Plays
Tory Blaylock, RB, OklahomaÂ
DK: $5,600 | FD: $7,300
Ole Miss has one of the weaker rush defenses at the power-conference level. The Rebels are allowing 4.7 yards per carry (112th in FBS), while ranking 125th in defensive EPA/Rush and 129th in defensive success rate vs. the run. It’s a great matchup for Oklahoma’s run game. Tory Blaylock has been OU’s top RB this year, and he just saw a season-high 19 carries for 101 yards last week. The arrow is pointing up for the freshman back who’s now grabbed the lead role. Blaylock is very affordable on both sites, considering the matchup and his rising usage.Â
Sedrick Alexander, RB, VanderbiltÂ
DK: $5,100 | FD: $8,100
On the surface, Sedrick Alexander seems like a stay-away this week. He’s facing a stout Missouri run defense that ranks 7th in the FBS in rushing yards allowed per game. However, Vanderbilt’s lead back still has the upside to produce for DFS. He’s been a touchdown machine, scoring 10 times over 7 games so far. He’s also averaging a healthy 5.7 yards per carry while benefiting from Diego Pavia’s dual-threat ability in the backfield. Plus, Mizzou has been a bit weaker vs. the run recently, allowing 111 and 85 rush yards to Auburn and Alabama’s lead RBs in the past two games.Â
Joe Royer, WR/TE, CincinnatiÂ
DK: $3,500 | FD: $5,800
If you're looking for affordable exposure to the highest total on the slate, this could be it. We’re already targeting Cincinnati QB Brendan Sorsby, so let’s add in one of his top pass-catchers. Joe Royer is second on the team in receptions this year. The tight end has been a safety valve for Sorsby at times, and this matchup at home vs. Baylor’s weak defense is very favorable. Royer isn’t a flashy play, but he does have double-digit DK points in 5 of the last 6 games. He just had 63 yards on 5 catches last week as well. You could do a lot worse than Royer as a salary-saving value play.Â
