Welcome to the weekly wide receiver/cornerback breakdown! We will review each of the outside matchups, as well as my 10 favorite matchups in the slot. Then, below the charts in this article, I break down my elite, affordable, and bargain. There are only three weeks left, so let’s do our best to not only advance to the fantasy finals and win some DFS money. Covid continues to wreak havoc on the league, but that leads to opportunity for others and makes some other choices easier. Don’t worry, we have you covered in all formats. This article is critical for daily players and season long, as this will help you gain a competitive advantage when setting your lineups. I will list a couple extra DFS plays along the way that I like but here are my five favorites. Follow me on Twitter (@fightingchance) as well!

Left Wide Receivers vs. Right Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
A.J. GreenARIXavier RhodesIND

He continues to be decent, yet unspectacular as Green had four catches for 64 yards against the Lions. With DeAndre Hopkins now done for the season, Green has had 18 targets in the last two weeks and has topped 60 receiving yards in three of the last four. Rhodes has played well of late, allowing just 50 percent of passes his way to be caught in the last month. The Cardinals have lost two straight games, and the offense has really sputtered. Green isn't the worst flex in the world, but he comes with plenty of concern. Unless you are in a desperate spot, you should be able to find better options.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Olamide ZaccheausATLAmani OruwariyeDET

He did have 53 yards, but 49 of them came on one catch and he was only targeted twice all game long. This passing game runs through Kyle Pitts and Russell Gage and no one else is worth any sort of consideration. Even in an easy matchup against the Lions, Zaccheaus isn't worth a spot on a roster oin season long leagues and certainly isn't worth a starting spot in any DFS lineup.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marquise BrownBALTrae WaynesCIN

He was able to play through an illness and Brown had ten catches on 14 targets but for just 43 yards. He hasn't topped 55 yards since Week 9 and hasn't scored since Week 7. His 14 targets were also tied for a season high with his Week 7 performance. Who did they play in Week 7 and why do I keep referencing it? Well, they played these same Bengals and Brown had five catches for 80 yards and that score. He has been highly targeted no matter who the quarterback is, and despite the Bengals coming off a strong defensive performance last week, it was against the Broncos who are a terrible pass offense. The Bengals are much tougher against the run than the pass and I expect Baltimore to throw it plenty. Assuming Brown misses no practice this week I like him in both season long and DFS formats this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Stefon DiggsBUFJ.C. JacksonNE

He was still tied for the second most targets on the team after Cole Beasley, but Diggs finished with just four catches and 35 yards against the Panthers. It just didn't seem like the Bills offense had to do a lot, so it didn't do a lot to beat lowly Carolina. Diggs still did score though, saving his fantasy day from ruin. After just two touchdowns in the six games before the bye, Diggs has picked that up with six touchdowns in eight games since. He had just four catches for 51 yards against the Pats the first time, but the weather that night was awful. With Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis now out, Diggs is set for a bigger role. The Patriots are a tough secondary, but I still think that Diggs can work into some DFS lineups and is a must start in semi-final leagues.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
D.J. MooreCARJamel DeanTB

The opportunities are definitely there as Moore has three straight games with double digit targets, but he hasn't scored since Week 11 and his yardage total has dropped in three straight weeks. Despite how terrible Cam Newon is at playing quarterback, he isn't so completely awful that Moore isn't worthy of a start in season long leagues as he still has been producing 10-15 fantasy points per week in PPR leagues, but he would be impossible to play in any DFS contest given the state of the passing game.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Darnell MooneyCHIJohn ReidSEA

He had five catches for 63 yards on Monday night and was really close to a touchdown where he was finally ruled out of bounds. He has had more than five targets in every game but four this season and is absolutely the number one receiver on this team. The Seahawks give up the most yards per game through the air and despite Nick Foles starting, I still like Mooney as a weekly starter in season long leagues. The struggles at quarterback is the reason that Mooney's DFS salary continues to stay low and while he isn't a guy I will put in all of my builds he is a guy with a lesser salary with a nice ceiling that I like it tournament lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tee HigginsCINAnthony AverettBAL

After three straight 100-yard games, Higgins had a complete dud with just two catches for 23 yards against Denver. That is a tough matchup for sure, and the Bengals didn't throw the ball a ton. This week should be a very different story as they play one of the softest secondaries in the league, and one that Aaron Rodgers just had his way with last Sunday. Higgins also had more success against them back in Week 7 when he posted seven catches for 62 yards against them on a whopping 15 targets. I expect Higgins to bounce back in a big way this week as the Ravens allow the second most passing yards per game and 24 touchdowns already through the air. Higgins is an obvious start in season long games and I like him in DFS as well even coming off a bad performance.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Donovan Peoples-JonesCLEJaire AlexanderGB

He had four catches for 48 yards against the Raiders but it could have been so much more if he had hauled in a couple of passes he really should have caught. Granted it was Nick Mullens at quarterback and the team will have Baker Mayfield this week, but it doesn't change the fact that DPJ has been inconsistent all season long and hasn't latched on to the opportunity given to him with Odell Beckham shipped out of town. He does have 15 targets in the last two games, but with Jarvis Landry back that number should go down and with Jaire Alexander returning this week that will take Peoples-Jones completely off the fantasy radar for Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Amari CooperDALKendall FullerWFT

The offense continues to struggle as Cooper had just two catches for eight yards against the lowly Giants secondary. The Cowboys had opportunity after opportunity and were unable to finish drives. The team continues to throw yto Lamb the most a and tight ends and running backs plenty. Cooper had the same five targets that Michael Gallup did as well and he hasn't had more than 51 yards since Week 8. He did have five catches for 51 yards and a touchdown a couple weeks ago against Washington, and similar production is certainly reasonable. Cooper is a start in season long leagues, but he is not doing enough for me to consider him for any DFS contest.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Courtland SuttonDENCasey HaywardLV

The offense will probably be worse with Drew Lock under center, and we already know that Sutton hasn't been good since Jerry Jeudy came back. He had just two catches for 12 yards in Week 15 on 7 targets as Sutton continues to be extremely inefficient and disappointing. He did have eight catches for 94 yards against Vegas in Week 6, but that was with Teddy Bridgewater in and Jerry Jeudy out. There is zero chance that you can trust Sutton in any sort of lineup for Week 16 as he hasn't topped 30 receiving yards since Halloween. Let that sink in.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Josh ReynoldsDETFabian MoreauATL

The move to Detroit sure has done wonders for Reynolds fantasy value as he has had at least 50 receiving yards in each of the last four games and two touchdowns over that span. Reynolds also has five or more targets in each game and 16 catches in four weeks. I know none of those numbers are jaw dropping, but he has had eight to eighteen fantasy points in PPR leagues in each of the last four weeks. The Falcons secondary continues to be fairly easy to move the ball on, but without Jared Goff, I can't put my DFS dollars on any Lions receiver, nor start Reynolds in a season long league.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Davante AdamsGBDenzel WardCLE

He still led the team in targets, but Adams only had six catches for 44 yards and a score. The Ravens did everything they could to keep the guy in check, but he still finished with 16 fantasy points in PPR leagues. The Browns are coming off a short week, and the team is still in flux with Covid. Cleveland has been a secondary that you have been able to throw on for most of the season, and while the Packers have won their division, now they vie for the conference bye. Adams is going to be a great option in both season long and DFS contests for the short Saturday slate.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Nico CollinsHOUMichael DavisLAC

Brandin Cooks has been banished to the Covid list and that has made this game a hell of a lot less interesting from a fantasy perspective. He has had four games with more than five targets, but overall Collins rookie season has been disappointing. He gets his best chance of the season with Davis Mills at quarterback and Cooks out. You could take a shot with him as a DFS dart throw, but Davis is allowing just 53% of passes to be caught so he is a high risk option, and shouldn't be trusted in your fantasy semi-finals.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Michael PittmanINDBreon BordersARZ

He was ejected on Saturday night, but had just one catch on five targets before then anyway in a really tough matchup against the Patriots. This was an unfortunate really bad game for Pittman who had topped 50 receiving yards in six of the previous seven games. The matchup doesn't get much easier this week against the Cardinals, but they are without Robert Alford. The Colts offense still runs through Jonathan Taylor so Pittman is just a season long play and not someone I want to trust in DFS.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marvin JonesJAXBryce HallNYJ

So maybe it isn't ALL Urban Meyer's fault. The Jags still came out extremely flat at home against one of the worst teams in football and were beaten badly by the Texans. Jones continued to disappoint with just two catches for 14 yards on just four targets in Week 15. The Jets defense still is far from good, but has topped 50 receiving yards just once in the last four weeks. Jones was tied for the fourth most targets on the team, which on an offense that never scores 20 points, isn't that great. However, with Laviska Shenault out with Covid, Jones could play himself into a flex worthy game against one of the worst defenses in football.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mecole HardmanKCJoe HadenPIT

With the top two pass catching options sidelined with Covid, this could be the first time I might be excited about having Hardman in a lineup. He only has seven targets in the last three weeks and hasn't had more than two catches since Week 9, but no Hill and no Kelce makes this completely different. The Steelers secondary is very beatable despite the debacle you saw last week by the Titans, and Hardman is actually a solid start in both season long and DFS games where salaries were set before the Covid news.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Odell BeckhamLARPatrick PetersonMIN

He hadn't had a real dud since coming to the Rams, but the sting of Beckham not performing came back and slapped us all in the face as he had just one catch for seven yards on three targets. I would blame it all on Cooper Kupp who seems like he gets a 50% target share, but even Ben Skowronek outperformed Beckham. The matchup doesn't get too much tougher, although Patrick Peterson made some really nice plays last week against the Bears. I'm going to go back to the well one more time with Beckham in this matchup figuring he will bounce back, but there is some hesitation and he is not on my radar for DFS at all.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mike WilliamsLACDesmond KingHOU

You definitely feel like what could have been when you think about Williams performance last Thursday as he was targeted a couple times near the end zone and on a couple of big plays downfield, but only ended up having three catches for 49 yards on nine targets against the Chiefs. We are going to put that disappointment in a bottle though and hide it away as he has the cupcake matchup against the Texans this week. I don't think I need to go deep into stats to tell you Houston's defense is terrible, we should know this by late December. Sometimes in fantasy football you have to have a short memory or take the positives out of the game. Williams was targeted nine times last week and like I said in the red zone. The matchup this week is much easier and I wouldn't be surprised to see him convert some of these chances. He is a play in both season long and DFS games for Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Bryan EdwardsLVRonald DarbyDEN

The good news is that he did have his first touchdown in Week 10 on Monday night, but the real news is that he had just three catches for eight yards against a Covid depleted Browns team. Edwards hasn't had more than 30 receiving yards since that Week 10 game and only had more than three catches all season long and that was in Week 1. He couldn't be farther off the fantasy radar, especially in a really tough matchup against Denver. He did have 67 yards against them in Week 6, but I wouldn't expect Edwards to have more than two catches or 30 yards in this game and isn't on the fantasy radar.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeVante ParkerMIAMarshon LattimoreNO

He made the most of an opportunity with Jaylen Waddle out and had four catches for 68 yards and a touchdown against the lowly Jets. Parker continued his string of solid usage with his eight targets, and has at least fiver in every game he has played. Marshon Lattimore has been beatable this season, but is coming off a masterful game where New Orleans shut out the Bucs. He has allowed just 50% of targets his way to be caught in the last three weeks and just 110 yards allowed combined in those games. Parker is certainly not a DFS play especially with Waddle back in the fold, but I can easily see a reason to start him in your season long semi-finals.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Justin JeffersonMINJalen RamseyLAR

He scored for the third straight week and had double digit targets for the fifth time in six games, but Jefferson kind of disappointed with just four catches for 47 yards on Monday night. The Vikings pass game was pretty broken agains the Bears and the matchup against the Rams won't get much easier even though they are coming off a severely short week having to play on Tuesday for Week 15. You can probably find a receiver with a better matchup for DFS purposes, but Jefferson is one of the top ten receivers in all of football and there is never a reason to sit him in season long leagues, especially in the fantasy semi-finals.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jakobi MeyersNELevi WallaceBUF

This is Meyers opportunity to shine. He has topped 50 receiving yards once since Week 5, however, Kendrick Bourne is on the Covid list, Nelson Agholor is out, and the Patriots don't have much else. He had a dozen targets last week and although this isn't a good matchup, this is a game where Meyers could see double digit targets again. He isn't going to light up the boxscore and I would only consider him for your fantasy semi-finals as you can get a guy with a higher upside for DFS contests.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marquez CallawayNOXavien HowardMIA

It was one of those rare boom games for Callaway as he had six catches and 112 yards against the Saints as it was just the third time all season he had more than 50 receiving yards and the first time he had more than four catches in a game. The nine targets he had were his most since Week 9 and the first time since then he had more than four in a game. Taysom Hill is still an absolute disaster at quarterback whether he scores fantasy points or not and Callaway continues to be a very high risk boom or bust option that is more likely to bust. He is only a start in season long leagues where you are facing several injury/Covid concerns.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kenny GolladayNYGDarius SlayPHI

Oh my is this Giants offense terrible. They actually had a little life when Jake Fromm entered the game, but they are just completely unable to move the ball. Fromm actually looked his way a bunch, but in the end you really can't trust your season on the fact that the Giants will score points. He does have seven or more targets in three of the last four weeks, but the guy hasn't had more than three catches since October 3rd. Golladay doesn't belong in a starting lineup either on your season long or DFS lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Braxton BerriosNYJTyson CampbellJAX

Two weeks ago he had six catches on ten targets for 52 yards, and then this past week against the Dolphins he had just one catch and one target but it was a 26 yard touchdown. Welcome to the Jets passing game. Without Elijah Moore and Jamison Crowder you never know who is going to produce, but you can pretty much count on not much production across the board. The Jags are a pretty soft matchup, but I wouldn't want my season long playoff life or my DFS dollars to be tied up with anyone on the Jets in Week 16 or beyond. He might be the best of the bad choices, but they are still all bad choices. He is the definition of a desperation play.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeVonta SmithPHIJames BradberryNYG

He had a great middle of the seaosn, but Smith's production has torpedoed in the last month and has become very hard to trust as the Eagles run, run, run, run and run some more. He has just 13 targets in the last three weeks and his 40 yards last week were the most he has had in the last three weeks. He hasn't scored since Week 10 and had just two catches for 22 yards in Week 12 against these same Giants. Smith COULD be a play in season long leagues, but the confidence you have in playing him has certainly waned.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Diontae JohnsonPITMike HughesKC

It was a really rare bad game for Johnson as he had just five catches for 38 yards on five targets. The Steelers offense went nowhere all day long and Ben Roethlisberger only threw the ball 25 times. The Chiefs gave up a bunch to Justin Herbert last Thursday, but had allowed fewer than 20 points in five games before that including against Dallas, Green Bay and the Raiders twice. However, they are down a few guys due to Covid. The Steelers are likely going to struggle to score much, but I expect there to be a bunch of garbage time and for Roethlisberger to have to throw at least 35 times. Look for Johnson to get back near his usual ten targets and have 6-7 catches for 70+ yards. He is a bit of a risk in DFS against a strong defense, but he is a no brainer in your season long semi-finals.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
D.K. MetcalfSEAKindle VildorCHI

The scoring drought has hit six weeks for Metcalf as the Seahawks passing game went backwards again last week. He did have six catches for 52 yards which were some of his best numbers since the team's bye and that was with Tyler Lockett out of the lineup. Lockett will be back, and while the Bears secondary is far from any great thrill, you would be foolish to expect a big game from Metcalf. The matchup is good enough that I am still giving him a start in season long leagues for sure, but he remains far off the DFS radar.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Deebo SamuelSFKristian FultonTEN

He now has a touchdown in five straight weeks, and Samuel was back involved in the passing game as he had four catches for 60 yards and 29 more on the ground. Samuel is a touchdown machine and is just a jack of all trades that can get you fantasy points in a number of ways. Hell, he even threw a pass against the Falcons. Samuel should have little trouble slicing up the Titans defense both on the ground and through the air and is not only a must-start in your fantasy semi-finals, but also a great option on the Thursday DFS showdown slate.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Antonio BrownTBStephon GilmoreCAR

A knee injury and a bogus vax card has had Brown sidelined since Week 6. When he was playing, Brown was great. He had one dud against the Falcons, but had at least five catches and 60 yards in the other four games and topped 100 yards twice. With Chris Godwin done for the season, look for Brown to be a major part of this passing game. Henderson has been a disaster for the Panthers allowing 81% of passes to be caught for 14.4 yards per catch. Brown should have a field day being the top dog in the Bucs passing game with a cupcake of a matchup.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
A.J. BrownTENEmmanuel MoseleySF

He hasn't played since Week 11, but is set to return to the Thursday Night Football. There are some issues here. First is he hasn't played in over a month. Second, he has had some up and down games. Third, is he 100%? However, the good part is the 49ers secondary is not good at all, and it depends on how strong the pass rush is that how well the secondary plays. In a showdown slate I probably will play one of the three most talented players on the field. And in a season long semi-final it is a risk to play a guy who has missed this much time but how do you sit Brown? Fire him up and hope for the best!

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Terry McLaurinWFTTrevon DiggsDAL

He had just two catches for 52 yards on Tuesday against the Eagles, and honestly that was more than I expected from him with Garrett Gilbert at quarterback. Taylor Heinickie should back this week which will help McLaurin, but the matchup against the Cowboys and Trevon Diggs does not. He left the first game against the Cowboys early with a concussion, but it was in the third quarter and he had just one target at that point. Honestly, I am having a hard time trusting McLaurin down the stretch and I would give serious consideration to leaving him on the bench for Week 16.

Right Wide Receivers vs. Left Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Christian KirkARZKenny MooreIND

I like his chances to be a difference maker down the stretch with DeAndre Hopkins gone and Kirk showed that last week with nine catches on 12 targets for 94 yards and a touchdown. That was against the Lions and the Cardinals were shockingly behind the entire game. The matchup doesn't get a lot tougher this week against the Colts who just allowed Mac Jones to almost throw for 300 yards against them. You have to figure that Kyler Murray will be better this week, and I like Kirk to continue to be the most targeted receiver on the team. I'm willing to go back to the well with Kirk again in both season long and DFS contests for Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Christian BlakeATLSaivion SmithDET

Tajae Sharpe was ruled out with a foot injury last week, and likely won't be ready to play the Lions. However, it really doesn't matter. The Falcons have a very low powered offense and a passing game that really doesn't pack any punch. You can use Russell Gage or Kyle Pitts, but Blake or any other receiver are so far from fantasy relevant it isn't even funny.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Rashod BatemanBALEli AppleCIN

It was a crushing come back to Earth for Bateman after his 103 yard game in Week 14 when he had just one catch for five yards against the Packers last Sunday. It isn't like the team didn't throw, Huntley chucked it 40 times, it just mostly went to Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews. That has been the way the Ravens pass game has gone most of the season, and Bateman just jumps up with some good games out of the blue here and there. He did have three catches for 80 yards back in Week 7 against these Bengals. It is hard to put your season on the line with Bateman after last week's performance, but it is a solid matchup and a team he has had success against already. I can see using him as a flex for your season long lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Emmanuel SandersBUFJalen MillsNE

The Bills are in rough shape with both Cole Beasley and Gabe Davis due to Covid, but it should help a little that Sanders is going to return. That being said, it hasn't been a big season of production for him and this isn't an ideal matchup against a tough Patriots defense. He hasn't topped three catches or 30 yards since November 7th and this isn't a guy that I want to trust my fantasy season on or DFS money.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Robby AndersonCARCarlton DavisTB

A week after 84 yards against the Falcons, he fell way short and had just three catches for 29 yards and ran twice for 33 yards. He was highly targeted with eight looks, but Anderson went right back to being disappointing in Week 15. It was against a tough Bills secondary, but he has disappointed all season long. Tampa's secondary hasn't been great, but they are getting healthier and played better of late. Anderson is not worth a look in any kind of fantasy contest in Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Allen RobinsonCHISidney JonesMIN

He missed last week's game with the Covid outbreak, but Robinson has been probably the biggest disappointment of the season. He has topped 50 receiving yards just three times all season and has had more than five catches just once all season long and that was in Week 1. The Seahawks secondary is not good at all and gives up a bunch of yards, but there is zero chance that Robinson should be in any of your lineups whether it is season long or DFS contests. I'm slightly tempted with Nick Foles at quarterback, but this guy has been the biggest bust of the year and I just can't do it.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Ja'Marr ChaseCINDaryl WorleyBAL

A week after Chase seemed to get back on track against the 49ers, he had the worst game of his season with just one catch for three yards. So, you have a question to ask yourself for this game. Do you feed more inot the fact that Chase has hit the rookie wall as he has topped 55 yards just once since Week 8? Or are you figuring he is still a dynamic rookie and had 201 yards against these Ravens in Week 7? I am going with the fact that the Bengals are a great passing offense and Baltimore is a terrible pass defense and Chase should be in play in both season long and DFS lineups for Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Rashard HigginsCLEEric StokesGB

Even with a completely depleted team, Higgins still had just three catches for 24 yards on five targets against the Raiders. The Browns should resemble more of their normal team this week, including getting Jarvis Landry back. Higgins wasn't fantasy relevant with the team being completely ravaged by a Covid outbreak so he certainly has no value at all in Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Michael GallupDALWilliam JacksonWFT

Last week broke a four game streak with five catches and Gallup had just three catches on five targets for 32 yards against the Giants. We know that Washington's pass defense isn't good, but they haven't played as bad in the last month. Gallup had five catches for 60 yards in Week 14 against Washington, but even Jerry Jones has stated that the Cowboys offense has been slumping. I don't know that there is enough offense to go around for three receivers and the tight end to remain fantasy relevant, and Gallup still feels like the third when it comes to production for Dallas. I can see starting him in season long leagues as a flex, but he won't be in play for DFS contests in Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tim PatrickDENBrandon FacysonLV

He did have a touchdown from Drew Lock and he finished the day with three catches and 42 yards. Sadly, this was his best game since November 7th. The Denver offense has really struggled more and more with each successive week outside of the beating they put on the Lions. Patrick, like the rest of the receivers on the team have been too inconsistent to trust for fantasy purposes. He had three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown back in Week 6 against the Raiders, but that was without Jerry Jeudy. At this point I can't trust any Denver receiver in DFS, and Patrick is only worth a start in season long leagues in the most dire of circumstances.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kalif RaymondDETA.J. TerrellATL

The passing game has taken a turn and it now runs through Amon-Ra St. Brown first and Josh Reynolds second, leaving only scraps for Raymond each week. He had two catches for 20 yards in Week 15, and he hasn't topped 35 receiving yards since Week 7. He has just three scores all season long and two of them came in Week 4. Raymond has had more than four targets just once since Week 10 and he has fallen all the way off the fantasy radar for Week 16 and the rest of the season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Allen LazardGBGreedy WilliamsCLE

He hasn't had many fantasy relevant games all season long, in fact he has only topped 50 receiving yards twice and had more than three catches twice. He does get a bit of a bump this week with Marquez Valdes-Scantling on the Covid list, and the Browns secondary isn't the best in the league. That being said it is hard to trust Lazard in the fantasy semi-finals with your season on the line, and while he has a low salary in DFS, there are several better options at similar price points that are in much better situations than Lazard.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Chris ConleyHOUAsante SamuelLAC

I know that Brandin Cooks is out, but I just can't bring myself to trust Conley in any league. He is a boom or bust big play receiver, but hasn't had more than a big play or two all season long. He has only topped 40 yards once all season long, and even though he will be bumped up the target hierarchy by one with Cooks out, Conley still isn't worth a thought in season long or DFS contests for Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
T.Y. HiltonINDMarco WilsonARZ

He has one touchdown all season long and only topped 30 receiving yards once all year and that was Week 6. Hilton only had one catch and one target against the Patriots and have two or fewer in three of the last four weeks. Hilton has completely fallen off the fantasy radar in 2021.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Laquon TreadwellJAXBrandon EcholsNYJ

He is far from exciting and hasn't scored a touchdown yet this season, but Treadwell continues to be relativly productive. He led the team with nine targets and finished with six catches for 57 yards. He now has at least four catches and at least 50 yards in four straight games. He also has ten fantasy points in three straight weeks in PPR leagues. He could get a little bit bigger bump in production with Laviska Shenault out due to Covid. This will be his best matchup since becoming a real part of the offense, and while you won't be excited to have him in your lineup he could be a decent flex play against the Jets or perhaps a GPP play in the hopes he finally finds the end zone.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Byron PringleKCCameron SuttonPIT

No Hill, no Kelce, no problem! Well, not really, but I actually like Pringle as the play this week. He often has more targets than Hardman, and isn't so much of a boom or bust kind of player. He's had a few good games this season (for a fourth receiver), and I think Hardman will get more attention from the defense. His DFS salary will also be a few hundred dollars cheaper than Hardman. Patrick Mahomes is going to have to throw to someone and Pringle is my pick for the guy who will give you the most bang for your buck.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Van JeffersonLARCameron DantzlerMIN

Like Beckham, Jefferson has fallen off the map the last two weeks as he has just four catches on 81 yards on five targets combined. He still has scored in three of the last four weeks, and the Vikings secondary is pretty beatable. He had been getting to be a bigger part of the team's offense, but it has been the Cooper Kupp show even more than usual lately. Jefferson is a very borderline flex play based on his touchdown total this season, but I would think you would have better options on your roster at this point of the year.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Josh PalmerLACTremon SmithHOU

Keenan Allen will be back, but the Chargers look to play without Jalen Guyton which should open up some more targets for Palmer this week. He has had just one game all season with any fantasy relevance and the Chargers played without Allen in that one. Being without Guyton won't open up a ton more usage for Palmer. The matchup is ideal and if you want to use him as a super deep dart throw I can see the logic, but I still don't think it is a great play. Palmer is also not someone I want my season long lineups to have in them as this is the semi-finals and we don't want to count on a guy who has 21 catches all season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Zay JonesLVPatrick SurtainDEN

He did have a season high six catches for a season high 67 yards on a season high nine targets on Monday against the Browns, but it felt like Cleveland did everything it could to limit Hunter Renfrow, and a lot of Jones production was late in the game. He hasn't scored since Week 1 and has had more than 50 receiving yards just twice all season. The Broncos secondary is one of the best in the league and Jones wasn't even targeted in their first matchup. Despite his best game of the year in Week 15, he isn't remotely close to fantasy relevant for this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Albert WilsonMIAPaulson AdeboNO

He lined up in the slot a bunch last week, but that was also due to the fact that Jaylen Waddle was out of the game. Even with the Dolphins top target missing and a matchup against one of the softer secondaries in football, Wilson still had just one catch on two targets for nine yards. He now hasn't topped 30 yards in the last four weeks and that 87 yard explosion back in Week 10 sure looks like an outlier. He should continue to see very little attention in the offense and Wilson is not someone to consider for fantasy purposes.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Adam ThielenMINDarious WilliamsLAR

He tried to give it a go last week, so Thielen should be good to go this week against the Rams in a game that the Vikings desperately need to win if they want to make the playoffs. He surely isn't 100% with his ankle injury, but Thielen is one of the tougher guys out there. Williams allows just under 11 yards per catch and 63% of passes at him to be caught, and is one of the tougher cornerbacks in the league that isn't a household name. Thielen has ten touchdowns in 12 games and is a huge red zone threat so while he might not be the best DFS option considering the matchup, he is definitely a start in your fantasy semi-finals.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
N'Keal HarryNEDane JacksonBUF

He hasn't really been a part of the offense all season, but did have five targets and two catches for 52 yards against the Colts. I really don't even think he will see that kind of volume and this is a much tougher matchup against the Bills. Don't bother even thinking about Harry for fantasy purposes.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tre'Quan SmithNOByron JonesMIA

He hasn't scored since Week 10, he hasn't topped 35 receiving yards since Week 11, and the Saints offense continues to be a borderline disaster with Taysom Hill at quarterback. The Dolphins secondary continues to play well, and I see no reason why we will see any sort of improvement in production from New Orleans this week. Smith is a decent receiver but he has had seven fantasy points or less in PPR leagues in four straight weeks and I see no reason why things should improve in this one.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kadarius ToneyNYGSteven NelsonPHI

He hasn't played a ton this year, but has shown some big time ability when on the field. His usage has been all over the place though as he has several games without a ton of targets, and three games with nine or more. He wasn't healthy for the first game against the Eagles, but Philadelphia doesn't give up a ton of yards per week through the air. Given the quarterback situation and the fact that Toney hasn't played since Week 11 makes him tough to trust in Week 16 unless you are dealing with injuries on your season long team.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Keelan ColeNYJShaquill GriffinJAX

I know the Dolphins are a pretty decent secondary, but Zach Wilson spread the ball around pretty well last week and outside of Jamison Crowder only Denzel Mims had more than two targets and he didn't catch any of them! Cole had just one catch for nine yards, and while the Jags are an easier opponent, I just can't trust anyone that has the word Jets on their helmet. Cole hasn't been a fantasy worthy receiver all season long and it certainly won't start in Week 16 even with Jamison Crowder out now.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jalen ReagorPHIJarren WilliamsNYG

He had three catches for 57 yards which is actually a season high, but Reagor had 34 of those yards on one play and hasn't been an impactful part of the Eagles offense all season long. The matchup isn't bad against the Jaguars but he barely has over 200 yards for the entire season you aren't going to start thinking about him now.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Chase ClaypoolPITMike HughesKC

He had a decent stretch of four straight weeks over 50 yards, including over 80 in three of those games. He totalled just 19 yards in Week 15 against a soft Titans secondary as the Steelers continue to struggle on offense. The Chiefs have allowed 22 passing touchdowns this season, but they have been much stingier in the last six weeks. Hughes has allowed just 13 of the last 23 targets at him to be caught lately, and Claypool is an afterthought at times. I can still see using him as a flex in season long leagues, but I would have a hard time trusting any Pittsburgh player at all in DFS contests in Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Brandon AiyukSFBuster SkrineTEN

He was really starting to make more of an impact in the last month, but Aiyuk fell flat in Week 15 with just one catch for 36 yards on two targets against the Falcons. George Kittle has really stepped up lately and is certainly taking some of the attention away from Aiyuk. I am of the opinion that this game was an outlier for Aiyuk and he will get back on track against a Titans secondary that has been very easy to beat all season. He will be a WR3 for your season long semi-finals and I like Aiyuk in the showdown slate for Thursday night.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tyler LockettSEAXavier CrawfordCHI

He got a week off with the Covid test, and Lockett should be locked and loaded for Week 16. He has clearly been the better receiver over D.K. Metcalf this season, and should go right back to his main role for this week. Surprisingly, Lockett has just five touchdowns this season, but is already over 1,000 yards in 13 games. Russell Wilson still hasn't been great, but he knows who makes the offense go and that is Lockett. That have a great deep ball connection, and I love this matchup against the Bears. Lockett is a guy to fire up in both season long and DFS games.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tyler JohnsonTBC.J. HendersonCAR

So with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin out, that thrusts Johnson into a bigger role in the passing game. However, before we just go assuming that Johnson is in for a big game, let's remember that he hasn't done much this year, even when Antonio Brown was out. He gets an extra bonus with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin out, but I still think it si going to be a huge Antonio Brown game and Rob Gronkowski should be amazing as well. C.J. Henderson has been a disaster for the Panthers so Johnson has a chance to blow up and at his DFS salary is a damn good gamble. In season long leagues he is a bit of a high risk, high reward type player.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Julio JonesTENJosh NormanSF

He was held without a catch before (surprise!) leaving last week's game with a (surprise!) hamstring injury. Jones hasn't topped 50 yards since Week 6, and if you really feel like you can trust him to even finish a game, nevermind actually play well, then you are a more risk averse fantasy player than I am. The Niners secondary is far from great and Josh Norman gets beat on the reg, but it would be a real stretch for me to consider jones for any sort of lineup for Thursday night.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeAndre CarterWFTAnthony BrownDAL

He had a decent little run in November, but Carter has completely fallen off the fantasy map in December. He has just five catches for 30 yards combined in the last three weeks, and a matchup with the Cowboys is not exactly ideal. He hasn't scored in a month and is officially way off the fantasy radar coming down the stretch.

Now, here are my 10 favorite matchups in the slot in Week 16.

Slot Wide Receivers vs. Slot Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Cooper KuppLARMackenzie AlexanderMIN

I hate to be lazy here, but really what do I have to say? The guy is AVERAGING 116 yards per game and has had double digit targets in six straight games. The Vikings are the fourth worst secondary by yards allowed per game and have surrendered 25 passing touchdown. This is a no brainer of all no brainers.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Keenan AllenLACTavierre ThomasLAC

Allen has been lighting it up since the team's bye as he has had 75+ yards in every game but one, and he scored two touchdowns in the game where he didn't meet that threshold. His volume continues to be top notch as he has had ten targets or more in every game but four and he had eight or more in two of those. While Thomas has done very well statistically with a 52.8 quarterback rating against, he hasn't faced many like Allen. Houston has allowed 20 passing touchdowns this season, and I expect Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen to add on to that total. He is a great option in every fantasy format.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
CeeDee LambDALDanny JohnsonWFT

There is no doubt left that Lamb is the number one receiver on the team as he now has 32 targets in the last three weeks. I certainly wanted to see more out of him than six catches for 50 yards against the Giants secondary, but I expect him to do better this week. He had seven catches for 61 yards against Washington in Week 14, and the Football Team is coming off a short week and still dealing with Covid issues. Lamb hasn't scored in four weeks and is getting closer to ffalling out of consideration for DFS purposes, but I can't quit this guy and am still going to fire him up in all formats for Week 16.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Hunter RenfrowLVBryce CallahanDEN

His roll continues as he had eight catches for 91 yards and a score against the 49ers last week. He now has 29 catches in the last four weeks and has had at least 60 receiving yards in each of those four. The Lions really shut down the Cardinals offense last week, but that might have been their coach actually selling his soul to the devil for that performance. There is no reason that Gage's success shouldn't continue against a Lions defense that has allowed 23 passing touchdowns this season. Gage is going to be viable in both season long and DFS purposes as there should be a good deal of offense in this game.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jaylen WaddleMIAChauncey Gardner-JohnsonNO

Coming back after missing a game due to Covid, Waddle is ready to get right back to his highly productive ways. The Saints secondary is strong, although Chris Godwin was having a good game out of the slot before he was injured last Sunday night. Waddles has eight or more catches in four of the last five games, and while his yards per catch aren't impressive, he has topped 60 receiving yards in five straight outings. This just comes down to volume, and this guy gets targeted a ton. I would probably look in another direction in DFS based on the matchup, but Waddle should be cemented into any season long lineup for those of you in the fantasy playoffs.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jerry JeudyDENKeisan NixonLV

I had to refigure the slot column here with injuries and Covid, and Jeudy wasn't originally in my top ten. He was doing fairly well before last week when he had no catches and he also lost his quarterback to injury. This isn't a terribly tough matchup against the Raiders secondary, but the Broncos passing game had been trending in the wrong direction and that was before Drew Lock was put in at quarterback. With all of the Covid issues around the league, you might not be able to do much better than Jeudy in your season long flex. He at least has the talent to get you ten fantasy points in PPR leagues.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tyler BoydCINKevon SeymourBAL

He has 236 yards on 14 catches in the last three weeks as Ja'Marr Chase has taken a step back. He has five or more targets in six of the last eight games after a season that has been below average most of the year. He had just four catches for 39 yards against the Ravens in Week 7, but the Baltimore secondary has suffered more injuries since then, including their slot corner Tavon Young, who suffered a concussion last week. Joe Mixon is also dinged up and the Bengals should be throwing a ton this week. Boyd isn't a DFS consideration, but he definitely fits in your season long semi-finals even if it is your flex.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jarvis LandryCLEChandon SullivanGB

The team should be full strength this week after a nightmare week with Covid in Week 15 and Landry should be back on track. He has had 28 targets in the last three games and has either scored a touchdown or had 100 receiving yards in three straight weeks. Sullivan has played well in the last couple weeks, but the Packers also haven't been playing teams with strong slot receivers. He allows 67% of passes his way to be caught at a clip of 12.2 yards per grab which is a little high for a slot corner. The Browns don't have many solid pass catching options available and Landry should give you 10-12 fantasy points in PPR leagues and is worth a start in season long leagues.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Amon-Ra St. BrownDETRichie GrantATL

He was originally on this list, and then I took him off with word that Tim Boyle will be the quarterback. However, then Jakobi Meyers was moved to the outside with the Patriots problems and Jamison Crowder isn't going to play. So, now even with a horrible quarterback, St. Brown is back in my top ten in the slot. It is a new quarterback, but he has shown reliability and big play ability and even Boyle should recognize that. We know the Falcons secondary isn't any good, so while St. Brown isn't likely to put up near the points he has in the past couple weeks, he still should be able to get you 10-12 in PPR scoring.

And now, my five favorite DFS plays at different salary levels

Elite

Cooper Kupp vs Mackensie Alexander

Again, you shouldn’t need to be pushed here, it is just a matter of working his salary in. He already has 122 catches and 1625 yards with 14 touchdowns in 14 games. What are you waiting for? Get this guy in your lineups in both season-long and DFS and reap the rewards!

Keenan Allen vs Tavierre Thomas

Volume, volume volume! Oh, and he has an amazing matchup against the Texans. Allen is Justin Herbert’s number one guy and despite a small dip in the offense from the Chargers, they are back and firing on all cylinders again. They should have little trouble passing the ball and scoring on the Texans, and Allen has 15+ fantasy points in PPR leagues in every game since their Week 7 bye. He is an absolute smash play for Week 16.

Affordable

Antonio Brown vs. C.J. Henderson

Mike Evans is out and Brown has been looking better than before the injury according to Bruce Arians. You know he is very motivated to come back and play well considering that he has taken a public relations with he fake vax card thing. He has shown the ability to make big plays when healthy this season and the Panthers secondary has been pretty awful. With Chris Godwin gone, Brown walks straight into the number one guy in this passing game.

Russell Gage vs. A.J. Parker

He has come alive in a big way in the last month with 29 catches in the last four weeks. He is now the go-to receiver on this offense and while Atlanta isn’t lighting up the scoreboard, Gage is making fantasy players very happy as he has 10+ fantasy points in each of the last four games. The Lions have allowed 23 passing touchdowns this season, and if anyone on Atlanta is going to score through the air this week I would guess that it would be Gage.

Bargain Bin

Darnell Mooney vs. John Reid

Seattle has consistently been a team that you can throw on, and even the Bears should be able to move the ball through the air on them. Mooney is unquestionably their top target. Seattle has allowed 20 passing touchdowns this season, and even Foles should be able to throw for two on them. He was so close to having a big game last week and with this plus plus plus matchup, Mooney should be able to give plenty of value at his salary.
