Stephen Vogt homered and drove in tw0 runs on Saturday, leading the Diamondbacks to a 3-2 victory over the Padres.

Vogt got the Diamondbacks on the board in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly to tie the score at 1-1. He then smacked a solo homer off of Chris Paddack in the sixth to extend their lead to 3-1 -- which ultimately proved to be the difference in the ballgame. With the 1-for-3 night, the 35-year-old backstop is now hitting .222/.286/.556 to go with his one long ball and four RBI.

Starling Marte swatted his first home run as a member of the Diamondbacks in Saturday's victory over the Padres.

Marte took Padres' starter Chris Paddack deep for a go-ahead solo shot in the sixth inning to give the D'Backs a 2-1 lead they would never relinquish. He also doubled in the contest, finishing the night 2-for-4 to raise his season slash to a healthy .362/.464/.532 to go along with a homer, three RBI and two stolen bases.

Archie Bradley slammed the door on the Padres in the ninth inning on Saturday, preserving a one-run advantage to earn his third save of the season.

Bradley issued a one-out walk to Tommy Pham, but battled back to get Eric Hosmer on a deep fly ball and Wil Myers on a line out to left field to end the ballgame. The 27-year-old hurler owns a 1.93 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 7/2 K/BB ratio over 4 2/3 innings on the season. In a 2020 landscape where closers have been a complete crapshoot, Bradley provides plenty of stability with his locked-in role at the end of the Diamondbacks' bullpen.

F. Tatis Jr. - SS

Fernando Tatis Jr. went 3-for-4 and blasted a pair of solo home runs on Saturday as the Padres fell to the Diamondbacks.

Tatis opened the game by crushing a leadoff homer off of Merrill Kelly. That solo shot would be the only run the Padres could muster until the eighth inning, where Tatis victimized Hector Rondon for a second solo blast to trim their deficit to one run. The 21-year-old superstar has been unbelievable through the first two and a half weeks of the season, slashing .322/.412/.780 with seven homers, 14 runs scored, 16 RBI and four stolen bases.

Austin Slater crushed a pair of solo home runs off of Clayton Kershaw on Saturday, powering the Giants to a 5-4 victory over the Dodgers.

Slater opened the scoring in the ballgame with a solo shot to center in the third inning. He then victimized Kershaw again in the fifth inning -- again to center field. The 27-year-old had nine career home runs over 572 big league plate appearances prior to Saturday's game where he took the three-time Cy Young Award winner deep twice. Slater finished the night 2-for-5 plus a pair of strikeouts. He's off to a great start in 2020, slashing .310/.394/.586 with a pair of long balls and three RBI in his first 29 at-bats.

Trevor Gott secured his fourth save of the 2020 season on Saturday, working a scoreless ninth inning to protect a one-run lead against the Dodgers.

Gott had to traverse the heart of the Dodgers' order in this one -- and made things interesting by allowing a one-out walk to Justin Turner -- but ultimately came through unscathed. The 27-year-old right-hander owns a 1.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 2/1 K/BB ratio through five innings on the season. As long as he's functioning as the closer for the Giants, he'll continue to have fantasy value.

J. Cueto - SP

Johnny Cueto earned his first victory of the 2020 season on Saturday, limiting the Dodgers to four runs on two hits over 5 2/3 innings of work.

Cueto walked three and struck out three on the night. He kept the Dodgers off the board entirely through the first five innings, but things tightened up after Austin Barnes plated a run with a ground ball in the sixth. Then, after walking Joc Pederson and Cody Bellinger, Cueto served up a three-run homer to Justin Turner on his final batter of the night. Cueto will carry an underwhelming 5.40 ERA and 1.36 WHIP into Friday's matchup against the Athletics.

Justin Turner clubbed a three-run homer as the Dodgers fell to the Giants in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

The Dodgers entered the home half of the sixth inning trailing 5-0, but after Austin Barnes drove in a run with a groundout, Turner crushed a three-run shot off of Johnny Cueto to make it a one-run game. That would be as close as the Dodgers would get though. It was the first home run of the season for Turner who after his 1-for-3 night (plus a walk) is now hitting .250/.358/.429 with 12 RBI.
