What’s an NFL week without another major injury to an impact fantasy player as Patriots receiver Julian Edelman has been lost for the remainder of the regular season with a broken foot.  Injuries to top players have been especially brutal this season as some of the league’s top players have gone down.  Along with Edelman we saw injuries to players such as Sam Bradford and Peyton Manning who will be out for at least the next one to two weeks as they deal with issues of their own.  As we enter Week 11 of the NFL season let’s take a look at what players should top your list as priority free agents to own.

– Note the FAAB Bids are based off of a $100 budget.

Quarterbacks

Mark Sanchez, PHI – Sanchez took over for the injured Sam Bradford on Sunday, whose shoulder injury is expected to keep him off the field for at least the next two weeks.  Sanchez was not very impressive in his relief role as he completed just 60 percent of his passes for 156 yards and one interception.  A more favorable matchup against the Buccaneers awaits Sanchez and the Eagles in Week 11 and in some DFS formats Sanchez is still minimum-priced which makes him a great play.  For standard leagues the Eagles' offense has the ability to be explosive and Sanchez has experience being successful in the Chip Kelly offense so there is certainly some weekly value here if you need a spot start.

FAAB Bid- $5-$10

Brock Osweiler, DEN – Some could argue this move is coming a few weeks too late as Peyton Manning has clearly labored for the majority of the season before his atrocious Week 10 outing which saw him complete 5-of-20 passes while throwing four interceptions.  Osweiler was a second round pick by the Broncos back in 2012 as he figured to be the understudy to Peyton Manning but in his relief effort he faired relatively well, throwing for 146 yards with one touchdown and one interception.  A favorable matchup awaits Osweiler as the Broncos face a Bears defense that has been susceptible to the pass this season.

FAAB Bid- $5-$10

Tony Romo, DAL – This is your last call for Tony Romo as he is going to return in Week 11 against the Dolphins.  Romo has missed the last seven weeks due to a broken collarbone and during that stretch the Cowboys did not win a game with either Brandon Weeden or Matt Cassel at quarterback.  Look for Romo to pass the ball early and often on Sunday against the Dolphins as he looks to get back in rhythm with his receivers.

FAAB Bid-$15-$20

Running Backs

Jay Ajayi, MIA – Ajayi was taken in the fifth round by the Dolphins this season and after starting the season on IR he has played well in each of the last two weeks.  Lamar Miller is still the starter in Miami and has done little to warrant any speculation that Ajayi could overtake him. But if you find yourself in deeper leagues and in need of a running back, he’s worth the add given his 8.1 yards per carry through his first 11 carries and the fact that the Dolphins face off against the Cowboys in Week 11, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season.

FAAB Bid- $5-$10

Matt Jones, WSH – Those who own Jones have seemingly been waiting forever for another big game after likely grabbing him off the waiver wire following his Week 2 explosion against the Rams where he ran for 123 yards and two scores.  In Week 11 Jones showed his playmaking ability when he took a pass and ran 78 yards for a touchdown to really boost his fantasy production.  He still finds himself in a timeshare with Alfred Morris in the backfield but it’s been rumored since the preseason that he is going to eventually overtake the starting role and maybe Sunday’s performance was enough to get that train rolling.  A Week 11 matchup against a Panthers defense who have allowed the 16th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs await Jones and the Redskins.

FAAB Bid- $5-$10

Joique Bell, DET – The ground game in Detroit has been absolutely abysmal this season but over their last two games, Bell has dominated the touches over Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick making him the de facto starter of the group. Week 10 was an ugly sight for Bell as he rushed for just 17 yards on 14 carries but given the depth at the running back position likely available on the free agent market, Bell finds himself with a favorable matchup in Week 11 and against the Raiders, who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.

FAAB Bid- $0-$5

Wide Receivers

Danny Amendola, NE – Some may forget that before Julian Edelman became the fantasy superstar he is today the Patriots signed Danny Amendola to replace Wes Welker and let Edelman test the free-agent market before eventually bringing him back.   An early injury to Amendola opened the door for Edelman and he never looked back.  With Edelman now out for the rest of the regular season, the Patriots will again look to Amendola to fill the role of Tom Brady’s favorite slot receiver and when called upon this season he has delivered with big performances against the Colts, Jets and Giants.  Amendola is a must add and just became a solid option in all formats but especially PPR leagues where he figures to see a ton of targets.

FAAB Bid- $20-$25

Dorial Green-Beckham, TEN – There has been plenty of hype around the rookie from Missouri this season but he has unfortunately failed to deliver despite his incredible size and downfield abilities.  If there was ever a time for DGB to shine, however, it would be now as the Titans' receiving corps is decimated with injuries leaving just himself and Harry Douglas as the only two options still currently healthy along with tight end Delanie Walker.  A decent matchup against the Jaguars await DGB and the Titans on Thursday so if you find yourself in need of a WR he’s worth a look given his increased role in the offense that he should have.

FAAB Bid- $0-$5

Kamar Aiken, BAL – Aiken should have been a top added player in Week 10 after Steve Smith Sr. saw his season end in Week 8 with a torn Achilles but he finds himself still owned in under 50 percent of standard leagues.  Against the Jaguars last week Aiken caught seven passes on 14 targets for 73 yards and six passes on six targets for 62 yards in the previous game when Smith got hurt.  Aiken is the No.1 option in the Ravens' passing attack and based of pure volume he should be owned and started in all leagues.

FAAB Bid- $10-$15

Tight Ends

Eric Ebron, DET – Ebron lands on this list as the obligatory “start any tight end facing the Raiders” add for Week 11.  In Week 10 Ebron was targeted eight times in the passing attack but pulled down just four passes for 28 yards.  Ebron has been involved in the passing attack all season long and averages around five targets a game which is enough to do damage against this Raiders defense that has allowed a touchdown to an opposing tight in all but one week this year.

FAAB Bid- $0-$5

Crockett Gillmore, BAL – With the Ravens' receiving corps dealing with injuries and inexperience Gillmore is trying to work his way into the Ravens' passing attack and has now caught touchdown passes in back-to-back games.  Gillmore is averaging just under five targets a game and has been pretty efficient when it comes to converting on his looks which helps add to his value.

FAAB Bid- $0-$5

Jacob Tamme, ATL – Tamme made this list last week as a player worth adding despite the fact that the Falcons were on a bye week due to his matchup in Week 11 and his involvement in the offense. Tamme has seen 22 targets over the past two games for Atlanta and has seen 10-plus targets in three of the past five games which has made his the No.2 option for Matt Ryan. The Falcons face the Colts as they come out of the bye week who have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.
